The document describes the three major types of forests: tropical forests located near the equator with plants like orchids and animals like jaguars; temperate forests which receive more rainfall and include coniferous, broadleaved, and mixed forests with plants like oak and animals like foxes; and boreal or taiga forests located in northern regions with long cold winters and coniferous trees like pine and animals such as moose and wolves.

Solution
Land Biomes
These are the 8 different land biomes in order from coldest to warmest
Tundra
Tundra is the coldest of all the biomes. Tundra comes from the Finnish word tunturi, meaning
treeless plain. It is noted for its frost-molded landscapes, extremely low temperatures, little
precipitation, poor nutrients, and short growing seasons. Dead organic material functions as a
nutrient pool. The two major nutrients are nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen is created by
biological fixation, and phosphorus is created by precipitation. It is also the driest biome next to
the desert.
Characteristics of tundra include:
Extremely cold climate
Low biotic diversity
Simple vegetation structure
Limitation of drainage
Short season of growth and reproduction
Energy and nutrients in the form of dead organic material
Large population oscillations
Coniferous Forest (also known as Taiga)
The Coniferous Forest is a forest of Conifers (too much to handle, isn\'t it?). A Conifer is a tree
that produces its seeds in cones. The Pine tree is the most common example. Conifer leaves
conserve water with the thick, waxy layer that covers their leaves, also known as needles. The
vegitation in the Coniferous forest is small in size, but large enough to feed the vast herbivore
population. Most of these animals survive the brutal winters by migrating or hibernating.
Average Annual Rainfall- 14-29.5 in.
Average Temperatures in the Summer- 57.2°F
Average Temperatures in the Winter- 14°F
Deciduous Forest (also known as temperate forest)
Deciduous forests can be found in the eastern half of North America, and the middle of Europe.
There are many deciduous forests in Asia. Some of the major areas that they are in are southwest
Russia, Japan, and eastern China. South America has two big areas of deciduous forests in
southern Chile and Middle East coast of Paraguay. There are deciduous forests located in New
Zealand, and southeastern Australia also.

"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

2. Forests are large areas covered with plants.
Forests covers about one-third of our planet.
Different types of plants and animals are found in
forests.
There are three major types of forests on earth: tropical,
temperate, and boreal.
3. Tropical forests, also known as rainforests, are found
between the equator and the two tropics(Tropic of cancer
and Tropic of Capricorn).
The temperate of these forest ranges from 20℃ to 34℃.
These regions receive heavy rain fall throughout the year;
the annual rainfall is more than 200cm.
Plants: Orchid, Vine, Moss, and Fern.
Animals: Jaguar, Gorilla, Monkey, Macaw and Toucan.
4. There are many types of temperate forests, but the main categories
are: coniferous forests, mixed broadleaved/ coniferous forests, and
broadleaved forests.
Some temperate forests receive so much rain they are sometimes
called rainforests! The great Douglas fir and hemlock forests of the
United States' Pacific Northwest and Canada's British Colombia
receive more than 2,000 mm of rain a year. They are dominated by
coniferous trees.
Another type of temperate, evergreen rainforest occurs in Chile,
South America. Here there is a great diversity of broadleaved trees
including the Southern Beech.
Plants: Maple ,Oak , and Elm
Animals: Fox , Bald Eagle, Bobcat
5. Taiga, also called boreal forest, biome (major life zone) of
vegetation composed primarily of cone-bearing, needle-leaved, or
scale-leaved evergreen trees, found in regions that have long
winters and moderate to high annual precipitation.
The taiga, “land of the little sticks” in Russian, takes its name from
the collective term for the northern forests of Russia, especially
Siberia.
The taiga, which is also known as the boreal (meaning northern)
forest region, occupies about 17 percent of Earth’s land surface
area in a circumpolar belt of the far Northern Hemisphere.
Plants: Evergreen Trees like Pine, Fir, and Spurce
Animals: Wolf, Lynx, Fox, Deer,
Hare, Bat Bear, Moose, and Chimpmunks.
