C, a married 40-year-old man, was paralyzed from the neck down after a horse riding accident broke his neck. He has since experienced depression, anxiety, hopelessness, and difficulty sleeping. A counselor has diagnosed him with Persistent Depressive Disorder and Anxiety Disorder due to his spinal cord injury.
