This document discusses the relationship between climate and culture in three parts: 1. Climate has historically influenced culture through seasonal rituals and spiritual traditions and shaped cultures through unpredictable weather. 2. The rise of the industrial revolution increased greenhouse gas emissions and began changing the climate, which slowly changed the way people live. 3. Addressing climate change raises issues of inequality and injustice between developed and developing nations in terms of energy exploitation and adaptation efforts. Individual actions like reducing energy use and waste can help mitigate the problem.

6. How to fix this?
• Economist introducing a society built on ‘low-carbon
emission’ to reduce resources.
• However this creates an inequality of societal processes
around the world of exploitation of energy, organisation and
extraction (Developed world vs. undeveloped world.)
• Carrying out a global programme for adapting, particularly for
the poorest and most vulnerable people of this world, can
best be described as climate injustice.
• It is a complex issue.

7. Hope for the Future?
• Ways people can make a difference by changing their
behaviours towards the environment?
• As individuals:
- Save energy
- Recycling household waste
- Composting kitchen garbage
- Landscape trimming and paper waste
- Change to fluorescent bulbs to save on electricity
- Turn off power points when not in use
- Walk, bike or public transport instead of driving
