REMOTE SITE MANAGEMENT
2. INTRODUCTION
Power Generation in Rural Areas using Renewable Sources of Energy
Use of Indian Government initiative “National Knowledge Network”
Installation of Solar and Wind Power Systems
Remote Access for Installed Systems
Minimum environmental impact of systems
Grid Layout for Power Systems
3. What’s the plan?
Helping small and medium sector enterprises to source the best suited
technology, arranging their fund requirement, handling manpower issues
and meeting with authorities for regulatory licenses and approvals.
Wind and solar generation technology in the rural areas would bring lives
into the mainstream and quality of living is improved. Many jobs would be
created.
When electricity is affordable and available, ITeS would connect them to
the outside world and let open opportunities to give more innovative ideas
for making this world a better place.
4. Options – Solar / Wind / Hybrid
Hybrid lighting systems are self-sufficient, standalone solutions that do
not require the construction of costly mains grid electricity supply
infrastructure nor the burden of their associated operating expenses.
The systems are ideal solutions for many applications in cities and rural
areas, providing lighting to enhance security and safety.
- Wind turbine with 15 years maintenance
- Solar module with 25 years maintenance
System benefits
Ecologically sound
Clean renewable energy
Reduction of carbon footprint
Low Maintenance
Enchance neighborhood security
Cost effective long term lighting solutions
5. Broadband Connectivity / “WiSo” Base-Station
Low power radios, systems and network design, and off-grid renewable energy sources
are combined to create an affordable yet powerful wireless network capable of delivering
high bandwidth content and services.
“WiSo” base stations are low power autonomous units, powered by a combination of
renewable sources.
Due to the number of subscribers and selection of radio equipment, a larger power
consumption is fed by the used of solar tracking and a large 200 W rated wind turbine.
Each base station hosts multiple radio interfaces to service different requirements..
The base station electronics are divided into two subsystems: the renewable power
system and the radio payload.
