The Greater Thames Estuary Fish Migration Roadmap project, initiated by the Thames Estuary Partnership and Nature at Work, aims to combat river fragmentation affecting migratory fish species by compiling barrier and habitat data into a comprehensive visual platform. Through stakeholder engagement and a calculated River Connectivity Index, the project seeks to prioritize barrier removal and enhance river health. Future plans involve expanding waterways data, creating specific fish databases, and further collaborative efforts to improve connectivity within the river systems.
