Google Maps is a web mapping service developed by Google that offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, 360° interactive panoramic street views, real-time traffic conditions, and route planning capabilities. It was originally created as a desktop program in C++ but was later acquired by Google in 2004 and converted into a web application, launching in 2005 with additional features. Google Maps satellite view uses high-resolution aerial photography of cities taken from low-flying aircraft as well as satellite imagery.

2. Google Maps is a web mapping service developed
by Google.
It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps,
360° interactive panoramic views of streets (Street View),
real-time traffic conditions(Google traffic), and route
planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle and air
or public transportation.
It was designed by Lars and Jens Eilstrup Rasmussen as a
C++ desk top program .

3. •In October 2004, the company was acquired by Google,
which converted it into a web application. Google maps
was launched in 2005 with many additionals.
•Google maps satellite view is a top down or bird eye
view, most of the high resolution imagery of cities is
aerial photography taken from air craft flying 800 to
1500feet. While most other imagery is from satellites.
