learning Python/Django)

What is it?

• Sandboxed Python environment
• More languages to follow
• Google’s database BigTable
• Google User Accounts

Modiﬁed Python

• Just a few restrictions
• No local ﬁlesystem access
• No threads
• Raw sockets (http based one for 80/443)
• No sys calls

BigTable
• Designed to run on multiple nodes
(10,000+)
• Object-based
• GQL - A form of SQL that you can use to
access BigTable data
