Should the 22nd Amendment Be Repealed
In the political world today there are so many different opinions about several different topics. The
topics that I will address to you will be, should the 22nd Amendment be repealed and also should
the foreign born be allowed to run for president. In both topics you may have your pros and cons,
but I am strongly against the both of them because I feel that the Constitution should not be taken
advantage of. Government should not be allowed to manipulate the Constitution to suit his or her
needs. While making adjustments to the Constitution to allow different things to take place for
convenience doesn t leave any form respect of the Constitution. There should be a line drawn to
keep this from happening for years to come on these issues... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Republicans are pushing for Schwarzenegger to be the one who put this statement to an end reach
reads: Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution. It reads, No person except a natural born
citizen ... shall be eligible to the office of president (CNN News, 2004). Schwarzenegger s
supporters are pushing for a constitutional amendment that would allow the Austrian born governor
to run for president while others are against this change, (USA Today, 2005). These issues and other
issues are just a test to see if the American people will allow such changes to take place without
having input on it. In addition, it could become a test of American attitudes toward immigrants in
the post 9/11 era, and also put some more thought into the topic of interest. I am totally against it
because I am employed by the Immigration service and changes to the Constitution would allow
room for disasters to our country. Although, there are some immigrants that are here to make a
difference, there are still others who will not remain loyal to our country and follow our guidelines
of making our country a safe and better place to live. http://www.termlimits.org/Current_Info/22nd

Analysis Of The Yellow Wall Paper
Charlotte Perkins Gilman s The Yellow Wall paper serves as a perfect example of how women are
treated in the 19th century. The distracting details both surrounding and filling the new house that
the main character and her husband move into haunt her. Throughout the story, the main character,
as she observes the house while in isolation, notices the true meaning in life, specifically for
women. Gilman s piece unveils the unfortunate requirements that women must meet in order to
become accepted into society. The imagery and description of the house mentioned in The Yellow
Wall paper holds a much more symbolized sense reassuring the main character about women s roles
in life, according to humanity. Along with the other furniture in the... Show more content on

Anything that comes out of the main character s mouth regarding the desire to rearrange the house
for valid purposes sounds silly to him, as he continues to treat her less than a wife, let alone a
woman. To him, all that mattered was his wife to stay healthy for [his] sake and for [their] child s
sake, as well as for [her] own exactly in that order (Gilman, 850). The main character must focus
on being the perfect wife, the perfect mother, and serve the family whenever they depended on
her. Her own health and worries were her last priority. John, just like society, expects high
standards for women to meet in order to belong and if they couldn t meet those expectations,
then they were not respected. Not only does the main character observe the meaning behind the
wallpaper, but so does her sister in law. However, it does not seem to satisfy her nor change her
perspective on life either. John s sister seems to be content living the domestic life, and hopes for
no better profession , and obeys society s values. Jennie portrays the women from the 19th
century who follow what every man would want in a lady (Gilman, 847). There was no need for
a woman to be out working when that job belonged to the husband. The wife was needed at home
for the children, as well as clean any mess or cook all the meals for the family, as they depended
on her to do so. One attribute from the house that almost drove the main character over the edge
was the nursery, especially

Leaching Of Human Exposure (BPA)
Human exposure can occur through multiple routes, however oral exposure is the major route of
exposure to BPA, thus, oral exposure occurs because of the leaching of BPA from polycarbonate
containers and from the plastic lining of cans (Chris et al., 2009). Furthermore, BPA is also
detected in indoor air primarily associated with dust, which indicates exposure can occur through
inhalation (Taylor, 2008). Exposure to BPA in humans received dramatic attention when it was
detected in serum, follicular and amniotic fluids, fetal serum, milk of nursing mothers, and in the
urine (Gould et al., 1998). BPA as one of the potential EDCs to healthrisk and may interfere with the

Essay Analysis of The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost
In the Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken there is a pervasive and in many ways intrinsic sense
of journey throughout. In such, the poem explores an aspect associated with human decision, or
indecision, relative to the oxymoron, that choices with the least the difference should bear the most
indifference, but realistically, carry the most difficulty. This is conveyed through the use of several
pivotal techniques. Where the first such instance is the use of an extended metaphor, where the
poem as a whole becomes a literary embodiment of something more, the journey of life. The second
technique used is the writing style of first person. Where in using this, the reader can depict a clear
train of thought from the walker and understand... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wherein this is the extent of the metaphor, where in this poem it is a changeable anomaly
subject to the readers interpretation of taking the road less travelled and whether it be a positive
(sigh of satisfaction) or negative (sigh of regret). This is all one can hope when using a
metaphor relating to the readers life, that they substitute their own feelings and create their own
meaning, their own attitude towards to such decisions and subsequently, such journeys.
Furthermore, we have the use of first person, where the almost universal effect is to have an in
depth look into the character and their immediate response to a problem or dilemma. This poem
no different, where in the first stanza we are ushered in with the use of anaphora in lines 2, 3
and 4 with the repetition of the word and . This specific use of anaphora is used to create the
mindset and intelligible deduction of the traveller to the events and dilemma prescribed to him.
Insofar as his immediate reaction be being presented with a choice. It shows his reaction of
regret in that he is sorry he could not travel both and explains what he wish he could do be two
travellers but also how he initiates his decision making process looked down one as far as I could .
Also, the use of first person is used to connect with the reader, enforcing the affore used notion that
the reader substitutes their own personal truth into a positive

A Deep Look At Elisa Allen in Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums
The Chrysanthemums by John Steinbeck is not just a simple short story. Yes it is a short story
about a country housewife that lives a boring life and grows beautiful flowers. She is then
mislead to believe that a perfect stranger has interest in her flowers and is moved to reveal to
him her secrets in growing them and even give him not only some of her prized shoots from the
flowers but also some work so that he is given what he originally wanted. She then finds her
shoots thrown haphazardly on the side of the road. She begins to ask for wine and becomes very
saddened and begins to weep. On the surface it seems like a very superficial story about how a
womancould be deceived by a man into believing that he has interest in what she can... Show more

She grows the Chrysanthemums as an expression of her femininity and womanhood. As the
Chrysanthemums express her feminine side when her husband inhibits her, she must care for
them as if they we her. The existence of the flowers mirrors her own. If Elisa were to let them
die, either by her own hand, or through neglect of others, she herself would experience death a
death of what she needs, but cannot have in any other way and maintain her marriage. This
would create a collapse of her sense of self, and make her into an empty shell of a woman.
(Berry) The Chrysanthemums represent her true inner essence and when she discovers that they
man looking to fix her pots left her precious Chrysanthemum shoots on the side of the road, she
feels a sense of neglect that is very powerful. She then decides that wine will help her feel some
sort of contentment but in that moment she moves from a powerful fertile woman into a bitter old
woman through the power of simple neglect. Elisa s fulfillment came through her flowers, once
they were abandoned on the side of the road Elisa felt herself to be trivial and unappreciated and
finally came to terms with the way the world viewed her. After the man who admires her
Chrysanthemums leaves her Elisa begins to ready herself for a night on the town with her husband
Henry. He witnesses her transformation and although he may be appreciating her beauty he

Relationship between Prospero, Caliban and Ariel in The Tempest
Shakespeare s play, The Tempest is set on a mysterious island surrounded by the ocean. Here the
magician Prospero is ruler of the isle with his two servants Caliban and Ariel. Caliban is the
abrasive, foul mouthed son of the evil witch Sycorax. When Prospero was shipwrecked on the
island Prospero treated him kindly but their relationship changed when Caliban tried to rape
Prospero s daughter, Miranda. Caliban then became Prospero s unwilling servant. Caliban serves
his master out of fear Prospero s wrath. Prospero s other servant Ariel is a graceful spirit who has
courtesy and charm. Ariel has put her services at Prospero s disposal out of gratitude for his kind ...

The audiences of Shakespeare s time would not of seen such an actions as that made by Prospero
unjust as throughout English history voyagers often took over land from the native people.
We learn that Caliban tried to rape Prospero s daughter,
...thou didst seek to violate
The honour of my child.
When Prospero first
Prospero learnt from his mistake in treating Caliban kindly and realized that the only way to treat
such an immoral creature was to be strict and threaten or else Caliban will take advantage of his
kindness. He understands that the only fair way to treat Caliban is to be strict with him because
this is the only form of treatment that Caliban can respond to well.
In Act 2 Scene 3 when Caliban plots to kill his master Prospero with his newly found drunken
master Stephano we can see that Shakespeare is portraying Caliban as a creature with very base
instincts. From Caliban s actions, it is difficult to see understand why Prospero does not cast away
Caliban. He says in Act 5:
...this thing of darkness I
Acknowledge mine, referring to Caliban.
On one level, it seems that Caliban is an evil character but on another level, Shakespeare tries to
depict Caliban as a part of Prospero s character. This is shown when Prospero accepts
responsibility for Caliban. Prospero understands that Caliban is the baser side of himself, even the
baser side of humanity s baser instincts. Caliban shows many

Integrated Model Of Managed Care
Managed care in simple can be defined as an organized approach to delivering healthcare services
in an efficient way to enrolled members by negotiation of prices and payments with the providers.
Managed care is one of the dominant influence that as transformed the healthcare delivery system in
the United States since the 1990s. Managed carehas two different contexts to it.
1.It is an integrated model with an organizational setting involving financing, insurance, delivery,
and payments.
2.Controlling the utilization of these services. The presence of managed care organizations in a
health care market creates incentives that affect provider treatment patterns for both managed care
and non managed care patients. The mechanisms may include

Comparing Organic Farming and Conventional Farming
There are many evidences exist that due to conversion of conventional to organic farming,
producers have received better yield, on the contrary, many reviewed findings show that in
conversion period, farmers have gained lower yield. Many researchers evidences have also revealed
that, in the long term, organic farmingsystem may work to enhance agricultural productivity
(Hoque, 2012). For instance, in many developing countries, significant amount of yield rises in
crops and fruits in terms of organic farming projects. These achievements are varied with soil
fertility management procedures such as proper composting, green manure, cover crops, legumes
culture, crop rotation, organic fertilizerapplication and other soil conservation practices (Zundel and
Kilcher, 2007).
The average yield of organic farming over all crops was 75% of conventional crop yield. The
main reason for low yield in organic farming was insufficient availability of nutrient. Input energy
consumption in organic farming was 21% lower than conventional farming. Lower energy inputs
in organic farming were mainly due to the low use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides
(Tuomisto et al., 2012). The individual yield in organic crops are on average 80% of
conventional crops and the average yield gap between organic and conventional farming is more
than 20% (De Ponti et al., 2012). The yield from organic Chinese kale was approximately 5 times
lower than conventional Chinese kale. The higher yield in

Strategies To Survive In Hatchet By Gary Paulsen
CRASH! Your plane just crash landed in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, and all you have
is a hatchet on your belt. How do you survive? Just ask Brian Robeson, a thirteen year old boy
who was stranded in the wilderness in the book Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen. Brian used three,
excellent strategies to survive in the wilderness. Brian made priorities of what the most important
things he needed in order to survive, he experimented with things and learned from trialВ and error,
and he used his hatchet as a survival tool. The first strategy that Brian used to survive was
prioritizing his needs. He decided on what were the most important things he needed to survive and
then worked to get those things done. For example, the first thing he needed... Show more content

hatchet to cut through the plane. He cut a triangular shape through the soft aluminum metal,
which he wouldn t have been able to do without the hatchet. After hours of cutting, he finally cut
a hole large enough to fit through to get the pack. Brian also used the hatchet to cut old tree
branches and logs for his shelter. He then dragged them back to his cliff and cut them even more
with his hatchet so that he could make a door. Brian also used the hatchet to start a fire, which
kept animals away and kept him warm. He used the hatchet to start a fire by hitting it against a
stone wall to create sparks. The sparks landed on a bed of grass and sticks, and Brian blew on it,
starting a fire. Brian s hatchet was a very important tool that he used to help him survive in the

Marita s Bargain Short Story
What changes take place that can actually make a one of a big difference to improve the success
of students. A change that can help many students in many ways that later on the future there is
going to be a big change and improvement on their lives. The change that has to happen now to be
able to have a betterlife and a easy path in life is to have a better support of motivation so the
students can acutely wantto learn and be in school. In the story of Marita s Bargain explains how
Everyone says that KPP is hard, but once you get the hang of it, it s not really that hard. In the
story Marita s is a young girl who got the chance to be in a program name KPP where school was
really challenging for her not only because she is a young girl but becuase she and her family do
not have the benefits of being wealthy, so just with a chance even though she has to wake up
really early and be up all day in school after all you will eventually be use to it and it s going to
be really easy at the end of the day. After all In return, KIPP promises that it will take kids like
her who are stuck in poverty and give them a chance to get out. KPP is a one great program who
prepare young kids for that later in the future they will have something good out of it. And with the
motivations that they get makes them want to do their homeworks and not make them not go to
school. These changes in Anaheim High Schoolwill sure make a one of a big difference and the
results are going to be really big with the students and a whole big amount of students are really
going to want to go to school and do good with the motivation and later on in the future a bigger
chance of change is going to be seen.
A difference is one of a big side of not being the same way as someone or something. Intelligence
is not known as to how students are viewed or seem to be smart. One of a big problem here in
school is how teachers only see that the smart kid is not struggling and the non smart kid is
actually struggling and when the teacher asks the class if they are doing fine if they need help
only half of the kids that somewhat get what they are doing say yes and the kids that have no idea
of what they re doing on their first try they do the job and

Abuse Of Power In King Henry
People gain power through acts of honor, effective leaders take action and help others on the other
hand some lie to attain power and use it to benefit themselves and their cores. King Henry the fourth
written by Shakespeare revolutionized the way in which play are written and presented through
iambic pentameter allowing the playto consistently have ten syllables per line allowing the play to
run smoother. A few good men directed by Rob Reiner in 1992 presents a story of injustice as
Marines are wrongly accused of murder through lies and politics. Through each character we see
how politics affect some aspect of their lives, through various false accusations truths begin to
emerge causing great disruption to the hierarchy.

faithful believer by being the one who submits him/herself to the will of God. There is no god
but God, and assuredly God is the All mighty, the All wise (Sura 3:38 64, pg.108, Reader),

Survey Questions On Starbucks Corporation
Name: Shanice Forbes and Sharifa Small
Fair Trade: Starbucks Corporation
Methods
Survey Questions
The survey questions mostly consisted of multiple choice questions, two open ended questions,
allowing written responses, and one qualitative response question. These questions were chosen to
establish consumers differences and comparative perspective of Starbuck s competitors, their daily
usage of the social media platforms, the coffee shops visited frequently, and their opinions on
consumers who frequent Starbucks. The survey contains one matrix/rating scale question (
Appendix I, Question 5) based on how important qualities are when choosing a coffee shop.
Lastly, there were two demographic questions. The demographic questions are for a general
understanding on consumers behavior based on age group and gender. For an overview of the
survey, see appendix I.
Survey Development The purpose of the survey entitled Starbucks Corporation Survey was to
determine if the recent Starbucks Public Relations campaigns have been effective at reaching
consumers (See appendix I, Question 6 for complete list of campaigns options), to learn more
about consumers buying behaviors towards Starbucks compared to it competitors, and the
characteristics of consumers loyalty. The survey was created through Survey Monkey by the
researchers who conducted the study. Survey Monkey provided their answer style as a guideline

Essay about The Global Warming Debate
Global warming is not a conqueror to kneel before but a challenge to rise to. A challenge we must
rise to.
Joe Lieberman
INTRODUCTION
Global warming is a controversial environmental topic in today s society. Global warming is when
greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane, chlorofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons,
and nitrous oxide) act as a blanket that insulates the earth and prevents heat from escaping into
space, which in turn causes the global temperature to rise. This greenhouse effect is a naturally
occurring phenomenon; without it, the earth would be too cold for any life to inhabit. However,
due to fossil fuel burning and other human activities, there is an excess amount of greenhouse ...

The majority of scientists link this temperature rise to the increase in carbon dioxide; however,
other scientists argue that the temperature rise is a part of a natural fluctuation. In 1997, delegates
to an international summit on global warming in Kyoto, Japan approved an agreement called the
Kyoto Protocol, which requires 38 industrialized nations to limit greenhouse gas emissions. These
nations must accept legally binding limits, which will reduce greenhouse emissions to levels that
are an average of five percent below the emission levels of 1990. The reduced levels are to be
achieved between 2008 and 2012 (http://encarta.msn.com). PRO ARGUMENT Greenhouse gases
reduce the escape of the earth s infrared radiation into space. This greenhouse effect causes the earth
to maintain warm temperatures. Due to human activities, the earth s temperature has steadily
increased, thus causing global warming. This rise in temperature leads to climate change, an increase
of infectious diseases, droughts, changes in precipitation, the rising and warming of oceans, and
glacial melting.
One effect of climate change is the spread of infectious diseases, such as vector borne ones. Vector
borne diseases are illness transmitted to humans directly from insects or animals (http:/
/www.nas.com/nwrc/epireprt/epivec.htm). Some examples of vector borne illnesses are hantavirus,

Carl Robbins Case Analysis Revision * Introduction * The inexperience skill set of the recruiter
highlighted many areas within the ABC Inc. that need immediate attention. Drawbacks of
communication within the organization are evident; however, there are other components that need
to be considered. This case study analysis will provide the key components that contributed to the
failure of Carl s 1st recruitment effort. This case study will also review and provide
recommendations of the key components: Communication, Organizational Culture, and
Transparency.
Background
* In this case, Carl Robins is facing a few ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Transparency * Another key issue that Carl faced during this process was the transparency of the
applicants. Applicants failed to disclose some of the required information; thus, leading to the
disqualification of the candidate. In the case, Carl noticed some of the new hire candidates did not
completed their applications; therefore, making it difficult for the Carl to prove to management that
the candidate was properly qualified. * Experience * Experience is always a major factor that
influences the success of any process. In this case, Carl should have adequate knowledge in relation
to the process that ensures successful completion. In this case, Carl was on the job for a six month
period before getting his first handle at the recruiting process; this contributes to the unsuccessful
results of the case.
Alternatives
* There are numerous alternatives that Carl and the organization could have taken to address the
needs of the company and the recruitment process. For the most part, the organization is
responsible for the advertising and posting of the job positions available. Therefore, it results in the
recruiter having a wide range of candidates to narrow down the selections. In this case, Carl made
the choices but should have reviewed all the information from each candidate thoroughly prior to
their selection. Although Carl s initial thought process was making the process less complicated to
save time

Comparing Huxley s Between Hell And Reason
A utopia is that which is in contradiction with reality, said the famous French novelist Albert Camus
in his collection of essays, Between Hell and Reason. History shows us that seemingly exemplary
ideals in practice have led to the collapse of societies. Just examine the two most prominent attempts
at a utopia: Hitler s attempt to socialize all of Europe and create the perfect Aryan race coupled
with Karl Marx s beliefs to instate communism into society. The final result was the destruction of
their perspective visionary worlds. There was one major facet that prevented these two from
creating their paradigms: utopias take away individual freedom and identity and therefore society
cannot exist. Aldous Huxley s science fiction novel... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The World Controller, Mustapha Mond, dictates, there was a thing, as I ve said before, called
Christianity [...] the ethics and philosophy of under consumption [...] so essential when there
was under production; but in an age of machines and the fixation of nitrogen positively a crime
against society. (Huxley 200). In this statement, Mond is saying how religion and advanced
technology are mutually exclusive. Religion is the one beacon of hope that joins all humans
together on Earth as they believe in an afterlife. If technology has come to a point where religion
is obsolete and every philosophical question can be answered, then there is no basis for living.
There is no point in trying to be a moral person. There is no mystery about what will happen after
this life on Earth. There is nothing to turn to even in the very worst of moments because hope has
been taken away. Viewing Henry Ford in place of a God is taking away the purpose for living.
The lack of religion takes away the personality from a society and contributes to the uniform
monotony of the Brave New World. To preserve happiness, the World Controllers discard
everything that might provoke either thought or passion, (Woodcock Par. 3) but in fact there is no
happiness at all if thought and the ability to actively pursue religious beliefs are eliminated.
Moreover, the constant dependence and consumption of drugs in the Brave New World

Changing Motor Blocks
A lot of people find it hard to work on cars and repair them. When it comes down to it, you may
realize that the steps are much easier than you would have thought. The process to changing a
motor is mainly just remembering how you took everything apart and reverse engineering. This
guide will give you the steps needed to replace a motor a motor for yourself. You will needa well
rounded tool set containing most common wrenchand socket sizes. To start the process, you wanna
start removing most of the items on motor block that can easily be removed.
The first and a very important step is the remove the battery cables so that you don t shock yourself
or damage the electronic parts on the motor.
Take the alternator off using a 9/16 and 1/2 wrench or you can use a socket your choice. Losen the
upper 1/2 bolt so you can remove the alternator belt when you have the belt removed, take the plug

There are 2 on each side of the lower transmission, and 1 on each side of the upper transmission.
To remove these you will need a 9/16 socket with about at least a 2 foot extension to reach the
upper bolts. You will wantto place a floor jack under the transmission with a block of wood or
something to protect the bottom of the transmission pan.
The last steps to get the motor out of the car are draining the antifreeze out of the motor and
taking out the motor mount bolts. You will need a flat screwdriver to remove the clamps on the
radiator hoses and have a pan under the car to catch the antifreeze that comes out you will
remove the lower hose first controlling the flow to the pan once it comes to a drizzle place it so
its not leaking and remove the upper radiator hose. Now remove the 2 11/16 motor mount bolts
you will need 2 wrenches or a socket and wrench. Once these bolts are out your motor is ready to
be taken out

Compare And Contrast Mma And Boxing
A sport is a competitive game that emphasizes physical abilities. Boxing and MMA are two
popular sports. They are in the class of combat sports. Boxing is one of the oldest sports in the
history of the world. The Independent argues that the sport of boxing is one of the oldest sports
still practiced to this day. It is a sport where two opponents must face each other in the ring and
fight till someone is knocked out or until the round ends. The person with the most points which
are obtained by punching the opponent will win the match. MMA is a newer sport, a sport that
has only been around for a couple of decades. MMA is similar to boxingin a sense that two
opponents fight each other. However, there are many factors that make MMA significantly different
from Boxing.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many different variations and techniques of punching. Some of these punches are the jab,
the cross, the hook, and the uppercut. MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts. As the name states,
MMA is many different martial arts and fighting styles mixed together. Some of those martial arts
and fighting styles are Muai Thai Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu Grappling, and variations of wrestling and
boxing. Even though they are both combat sports, Boxing and MMA are significantly different.
The Independent states that MMA has certain aspects of boxing within the technique.
The rounds and timings are very different. Bleacherreport states that in Boxing, there are six to
twelve rounds and each one lasts three minutes. Bleacherreport also states that in MMA there are
three rounds, and they all last five minutes. Both sports are similar in a sense that there are timed
rounds instead of quarters such as in other sports, but that is the only similarity because the round s
timings are different. It is significant that the timings are different because the training of the
athletes will be built around how much time that they have.
Even though both sports are considerably different, there are some similarities

Tiananmen Square Shooting Essay
The Massacre at Tiananmen Square
The protests in China during 1989 were for a good cause, but were ended in the worst possible
way. Mao Zedong brought Communism into china with violence and even after his death, with a
new leader, the violence continued. The Chinese Government made a huge mistake by using force
to end a peaceful protest. After the 1912 revolution, two groups began to compete for the
leadership of China. One group, the Nationalists, was led by Chiang Kai shek while Mao Zedong
was the head of the second group, the Communists. At first, these two groups worked together to
unify China. But in the 1920s, Chiang broke with the Communists and declared war on them. (Civil

Protestors were shot down and beaten by Chinese soldiers. The scene was complete chaos in and
around Tiananmen Square. Protestors were enraged with the soldiers who were shooting at anyone
they deemed a threat. In the hours before the invasion of the square, make shift weaponry was
being made for the protestors who were going to put up a fight to get what they wanted, democracy.
Molotov cocktails, sticks, rocks, and pipes would battle throughout the night against bullets, teargas,
and armor. Buses and cars were torched, Soldiers and civilians beaten, shot, or burned. The days
after June 4th were filled with mass arrests and executions. The propaganda department of the
communist party s Beijing branch tried to convince the people of China, and the world, that it had

Space Debris My scientifically accurate sci fi story will focus on astronauts tasked with aiding in
the clean up of space debris. The story will take place not too far in the future, in a time where
space debris is creating problems for NASA and other space programs. Space debris is proving to be
too dangerous and has resulted in numerous failed missions and destroyed unmanned spacecraft.
The purpose of clearing out the space debris is because NASA discovered a planet that had
promising signs of life and is sending other probes and unmanned spacecraft to investigate further.

The Kessler Syndrome was brought to light in 2009 when the Iridium 33, a United States satellite,
was struck by the Cosmos 2251, an unused Russian satellite. Due to Kepler s laws of orbital
motion and the objects being as close they were to Earth s gravitational pull, the two satellites
collided at about five miles per second (Parker, greeniacs.com). The result of the collision proves
Kessler s concerns, as a cloud of thousands of pieces of broken equipment and satellite parts was
created, which is now in Earth s orbit. The true danger of space debris relies in the speed of each
piece. Since each piece travels at around four to five miles per second, smaller pieces could be
catastrophic towards future missions (Dunbar, nasa.gov). One such case of debris causing damage
comes through the missions STS 50 to STS 114. Over the span of these 54 missions, debris and
meteoroids hit the windows of the shuttles about 1600 times, resulting in 92 replacements
(Madrigal, wired.com). The shuttles radiators have also been hit a number of times, leaving holes
in the facesheet. One instance in particular occurred when a 100 micron sized particle hit the
window of the STS 50, causing a one millimeter crater (Whitlock, nasa.gov). These instances show
how dangerous even the smallest particles can be for spacecraft.
How is it tracked? Space debris is not going unnoticed however. NASA and the Department of

The European Recovery Program Of The United States Essay
Left as one of the only remaining major powers, not significantly devastated by World War II,
the United States of America lit the beacon of humanitarian aid. At its own discretion, after the
Soviet Union s refusal of America s extent of influence and relief in the European continent, the
U.S. was free to do as it pleased regarding attempts of foreign assistance. Secretary of State in the
U.S. at the time, George Marshall, proposed the Marshall Plan , originally called the European
Recovery Program , in June of 1947, during his speech at Harvard University. Marshall s
argument was to provide 13 billion U.S. dollars, about 5% of the American gross domestic
product during that period, to European nations to bail them out of their continental crisis post
World War II. The plan was in operation for four years, rebuilding war terrorized countries with
several goals put in place by the United States. America would take on the responsibility to rebuild
their economies, rebuild their currency, and foster a free and open trade between European and
U.S. economies. Aid provided by major powers usually involves some level of self interest,
benefiting the donors as well as the needs of those in less fortunate situations. The Marshall Plan
was set in motion with the idea that, if successful, the U.S. would become better off in the long
term, creating new markets for American goods and flourishing the economy back home. Funds
used within the European continent required agreement and

Reflection On My Experience Of An Unxamined Life
Summer Reflection
I will not reflect on what I did this summer.
Socrates once said, An unexamined life is a life not worth living. I must refute. An unexamined life
is the only life worth living. I live my life gazing into the future, unburdened by the past.
In fact, I have never looked into a mirror, never taken a bath, never looked out of a window at
night. When my friends have the hiccups, I take them on a joyride. Switching lanes always cures
the hiccups. Another advantage is you never have to adjust non existent mirrors. In the glovebox of
my car lies my reflection free permit. It prevents me from seeing the cops.
Other people are always so vain, obsessing over how they look. They re transparent, insignificant,
mirages, reflections. However, I am opaque. If I reflected on my summer, it would dilute the
vividness, the complexity, the intrigue.
Actually, my only reflection is that my summer was so fantastic that I regret having to return to
school. Ever since fourth grade when I picked up the name toilet pants, I ve picked up a dislike for
the place. After all, there s only one bathroom without any mirrors the Great Outdoors.
In life, people claim you need to reflect on a lot of things: college essays, interviews, resumes.
They re wrong. I m doing fine, right? After resizing the font, this will be around half a page!
So about this assignment on what happened last summer: I cannot write a reflection. I have an
incapability. No, I have an enlightenment. Not writing a reflection is the better decision because it
allows me to avoid being bogged down by the past. Retrospection must not taint my memories.
A reflection isn t something you can keep to yourself, a sequestered treasure nestled in the
subconscious. Society and success demand that we expose ourselves. This exposure can be about
the time my dog died or the time my ice cream fell from the cone or the time my favorite racecar
was stolen. I ve never tried reflecting, of course.
Let other people do the reflecting. Why should I have to do the reflecting? Others can reflect for
me. If they tried hard enough, some of my enlightenment might rub off on them. They can reflect
on why I don t reflect.
In my house, there are no family

Why Money Can t Buy Happiness And Hustvedt s My Mother
Happiness False Promises The articles for the week, Shermer s Why Money Can t Buy
Happiness and Hustvedt s My Mother, offer perspectives on happiness informed by theories of
evolutionary psychology. Shermer and Hustvedt examine what it means to be happy and how
our brains can fool us into believing we enjoy something when we actually don t. These readings
come at a crucial pinnacle in the semester for me when introspection is often ignored. While
other classes seem to be on the downward slope to finals, I feel I haven t quite summited this
writing course. There is obviously a purpose to the flood of open ended reflections and fast
paced deadlines between articles. If the goal has to been to break a writer down, then it has
undoubtedly been achieved. Instead of the demands of the class sharpening my pen and fine
tuning my words, I m starting to see my words as a jumbled mess of incoherent thoughts. My
papers have become an alphabet soup I try to arrange to convey my thoughts and link the themes
I see. But the more I write, the less letters there are to choose from. I ve desperately wanted to
learn how to improve my writing, but the more I learn the more I realize the affliction I have
with the process entirely. The two chapters this week have revealed less about the process of good
writing for me, but more on my own affliction with writing and its affects on my aspirational
career as a social scientist. Shermer s Why Money Can t Buy Happiness shows that emotions are

Big Data A New Source
Big Data a new source in Statistics
BIS 625 Research in Information Systems
Back ground:
Social Scientists exhibit overconfidence in the reliability of the statistical data which was achieved
by single or a small sampling. However, the reliability of data is mostly confined to a smaller
volumes. Statistics, when dealing with larger volumes of data exhibit inaccurate results. There are
many factors which affect the end results. This might be due to the improper sampling, improper
handling of large volumes of data or inefficiency in analyzing the large volumes. Growing
technologies are able to handle the data management and analyzing problems. Big Data, is a
modern technology which can handle such large data, analyze it and can get better results. Long
before the term big data emerged, Europe already had a pioneer in the field Alan Turing, the
British mathematician who broke Nazi Germany s Enigma code and is widely viewed as the father
of modern computing and algorithms. (Blau, 2015).
This increased the demand for data scientists across Europe. The larger the volumes of data the
greater the complexity of data and analyzing of data. Getting high varieties and volumes of data at
greater velocities is the advantage of using Big data.(H. Davenport, 2014). The trend of making
information from data has started from decision support followed by execution support, analytical
processing, business Intelligence (BI) ended with Big Data. The design Big data architecture and

Johannes Kepler s Accomplishments
Johannes Kepler was born on December 27, 1571in Weil der Stadt, Germany and died on
November 15, 1630 in Resenburg, Germany due to his health. When Kepler was born in the late
16th century, scientists believed that planets in the solar system traveled in circular orbits around
the Earth. Kepler came from a modest family in a small German town. He began university
studies in 1598, where he grasped ideas of Copernicus s works and tutored in its complex details by
Maestlin. He experienced a moment of illumination while teaching a small class, struck him that the
spacing among the six Copernican planets might be explained circumscribing and inscribing each
orbit with one of the five regular polyhedrons.
Kepler was a German astronomer, mathematician, astrologists and a natural philosopher who
discovered three major laws of planetary motion: the plantes move in elliptical orbits with the sun at
one focus, area law and harmonic law. The area law is time necessary to traverse any arc of a

Throughout this comparison, I wish to discover the characteristics shared by both the Wentworth
Hall and Pantheon and the special meanings behind these two old buildings.
The history of the Pantheon project was originally from the emperor Augustus and built by the
architect Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. During the reign of the Roman emperor Titus, in
approximately 80 A.D, the Pantheon temple was burned down in a fire. Eventually, the third
Roman emperor Domitian of the Flavian dynasty rebuilt a new temple there, but this one was also
destroyed in a fire in 110 A.D. Around 120 A.D Roman period, King Hadrian rebuilt the third
Pantheon in a more modern style and this is the temple we have today. Apollodorus of Damascus,
who was an architect designer during that period of time, assisted King Hadrian in rebuilding the
best preserved Roman monument, the new Pantheon. The reconstruction of this project started
soon after Hadrian became emperor and it was probably completed by 125 A.D. To honor Agrippa,
Hadrian left a message over the door written in early Greek. Hadrian mentioned that he was the
originally creator who had built the temple.
The Pantheon building has had just a tremendously complex architectural history. When they built

Parking Garages Benefits
Many people consider parking garages as ugly, dark, and dangerous places. This reputation is due
in large part to poor upkeep and poor lighting. It doesn t help that commonly used lights in
parking garages produce an eerie off white color that disorients the customer. However, this can be
changed by using clean reflective surfaces on the ceiling and walls and by using LED lighting.
Here is how you benefit from this change:
More Attractive to Your Customers
Bright lighting elevates the mood of your customers and makes them feel safer. The feeling of
safety that people experience in daylight is both real and psychological. This feeling is
reproduced in parking garages brightly lit with LEDs. LED lights closely resemble daylight and
therefore produce similar psychological feelings. The improved lighting also makes the area more

The improved lighting also allows customers to see slippery areas, irregular surfaces, curbs, wheel
stops, and other features that might cause slip or trip and fall accidents. This improves your
customer s safety and reduces your risk of customer lawsuits arising from being crime victims on
your property and from injuries caused by fall accidents. Poor lighting is a common reason
property owners are required to pay damages in these lawsuits.
The above benefits are further enhanced by clean, white reflective wall and ceiling surfaces. This
disperses light and increases the overall illumination. The right choice of paint or surface treatment
will also repel dirt and soot buildup, which diminish the garage illumination over time.
Two other benefits you ll enjoy from LED parking garage lighting are the reduced energy
consumption and therefore lower energy bills, and reduced maintenance costs because of the

Amish Cultural Beliefs
Amish Cultural and Religious Beliefs Impacting Health Care Trends
Walking into an Amish community is like taking a trip through time. They are a religious group
that has upheld the standards of a life far removed from the modern world. The Amish come from
descendants from German speaking nations in and around Europe (Henderson, 2010). As such,
church hymns and other important documents are written in a type of Germanic language, known
sometimes as Pennsylvania Dutch. German and Pennsylvania Dutch are still common methods for
formal communication within the Amish community, although most of its members speak English
in informal situations. The community also upholds social roles that many would find outdated.
Women are restricted to the household, and thus their roles are severely limited compared to
women in modern communities. It is the men that have more freedom within the community. Also,
many within the Amish community tend to take the view point that everything happens for a
reason. This then impacts their overall view of individual health and tragedies. When an individual
gets sick or dies, many within the community believe it was God s will, and so often not much is
done to prevent God s will from manifesting (Henderson, 2010). Thus, it is clear that their cultural
and religious beliefs impact their overall health.
The Amish extreme views and beliefs often keep them separate from the rest of society, which can
have an impact on their overall health and how they

The Between The Monster Grendel And The Old Testament
Allusions to the Books Genesis and Wisdom: The interconnection between the monster Grendel and
the Old Testament
Beowulf displays Christian influences in the description of Grendel especially through the allusion
to the Old Testament. Initially, Grendel is presented as a monster that simply kills without any
justification in why he decides to act in such fashion. However, as one alludes to the Old Testament
specifically to the Book Genesis and the Book Wisdom, the reasoning behind Grendel s actions
become clear. Grendel s tendency to kill out purely out of rage, provides a parallel to the biblical
story of Cain and Abel, which explores the preposterousness of Grendel s human aspects. The
monster Grendel, who is heavily influenced by Cain s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The interconnection between Grendel and Cain shows the human side of Grendel, although
Grendel s nature is a monster, he displays human traits of emotion which are exaggerated to the
extent of irrational behavior reinforced through It was no long wait, but the very next night he
committed a greater murder, mourned not at all, for his feuds and sins he was too fixed in them
(Beowulf 134 37). This results in their fates being intertwined in the way they carry their burden
of being condemned by god, reinforced in Grendel s hints of human emotion when He went
away wrenched, deprived of joy, to find his place of death, mankind s foe (Beowulf 1274 75).
Ultimately, the biblical story of Cain and Abel in the Book Genesis explores Grendel s character
and motive though the expression of human emotion as well as the evil nature rooted in the origins
of Cain s sin of fratricide.
Grendel, besides the heavy influence of Cain and his sin of fratricide, is also portrayed as a
representative of God s anger towards the Pagans caused by their lack of piety. Neidorf argues that
Grendel s presence after the extinction of the giants caused by the flood links Cain with
postdiluvian monsters, implying God s failed attempt to eliminate the evil that originated from
Cain. Neidorf presents that Grendel alongside other monsters is part of the battle between the evil
monsters and God himself. Scholar, Daniel Anlezark similarly argues God sent mute animals such
as Grendel,

Multicultural Excellence
1 Within the four components of Multicultural Excellence, I have experienced a greater expansion
of my awareness in the discrimination of women in the education system. During my high school
education, none of the history classes I took included in their curriculum a chapter on Title IX,
and why it was added. In doing my Title IX research project, I became aware that in our recent
history, before 1972, that there were quotas set in place, limiting the number of female students in
a University. I am glad that legislation has passed removing quotas, but I also became aware that
women are currently still a minority within the STEM majors. I believe this is due to our social
construct here in America.

on the individual and competing with each other. Collectivistic cultures place importance on the

then begin to understand the worldviews of other people. This also plays an important role on how
the family is structures. If I have a client in the future who has a collectivistic culture, I need to
remain aware, and respect this, and work to develop a therapeutic plan that holds to their values,
and alleviates their stress, without projecting my own individualistic thoughts onto the client. In
this way, I can provide support in the way that they need it.

Competitive Intelligence Essay
Ethics in the Competitive Intelligence Industry
Competitive Intelligence (CI) can be defined as coordinated research of an organization s
competition within a specific industry. CI assesses those who compete for market share and
attempts to guess the actions of competitors before those actions are introduced in the marketplace.
The vision of Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) is, Better decisions
through competitive intelligence (Vision amp; Mission, n.d. para. 1). SCIP s mission, in part is to,

Hastings ignored the warning, believing that chief executives should generally discount what
their friends say (para. 2). Apparently in this case, Mr. Hastings friend was a good gauge of the
typical consumer who liked his Netflix service the way it was originally set up. If Mr. Hastings
had hired a company such as SCIP to gauge how such a reaction would impact the industry as a
whole, he probably would have made a different decision that would not have resulted in a 30%
drop in the company s stock. In fact, he may have been informed that a move by a similar
company would drive a large portion of its customers to Netflix, but because he didn t do his
homework properly, Netflix became the loser.
Competitive intelligence analysis is a subjective business. Companies that are in the CI business
must compile their data and corresponding recommendations in an ethical manner because the CI
business can be competitive too. If CI companies were to act in an unethical manner, they would
clearly be driven out of the marketplace by companies acting honestly. Additionally, CI
companies should be compelled to act ethically as the companies they research could be forced
into bankruptcy or subject to criminal discipline if CI research were misconstrued to show their
subjects in a false, negative light. I believe SCIP runs an ethical business as evidenced by its code
of ethics. Two of its goals are, To continually strive to increase the recognition

The Importance Of The First Opium War In China
When India brought opium to China, India was put into a whole lot of trouble. Since opium is
very addictive, it was hard to stop using this product just the same as using marijuana or tobacco.
The Chinese Emperor was furious with the British for getting a majority of the Chinese people
hooked onto opium, so this resulted in the Opium Wars. These wars were fought against Britain and
China, and became a big problem for the Chinese. The trade of opium was just as big as the tea
trade the estimated amount of addicts was about 10 million. Foreign merchants were confronted
and forced to surrender because of these sales, but China could not keep the British out. Regardless
of any rules that were passed, people would still continue to buy and sell opium.... Show more

Since China s ships were very outdated, Britain had a new advance in technology with gunboats.
The Daoguang Emperor attempted to stop these sales, but suffered greatly from this. The Chinese
got demolished by the British and because of this, and this loss led to the signing of the Treaty of
Nanjing.
This peace treaty was signed years after the first war took place. It stated that China had to give
away the island of Hong Kong. Now, keep in mind, the Chinese are already drastically failing.
They are hooked on opium and destroyed. Foreign rulers began to use this to their advantage, and
claim ports of their own. The British continued to take more and more land away from China,
leaving them broken and ashamed of what they have become. A decade later, the US Navy

Effective communication is not just about speaking and listening. It is also about watching and
feeling. Our body language and tone of voice actually communicate more strongly than the
words we use. So, listening effectively involves tuning in closely to the other person s body
language and tone of voice as well as their words. How positive relationships are built and
maintained(Ref 1.1): * Identifying and sorting out conflicts and disagreements Children, like
adults will have their disagreements. As children get older their arguments can become more
serious and are not simple squabbles. In order for children and young people to trust us, it is
important that we can identify difficulties and help them wherever possible to find ways through
them. It is essential that children and young people perceive our way of doing this as fair. When
you have a conflict with a child, there is an opportunity for learning about how to solve problems.
Conflicts help children to understand that other people have different thoughts and feelings to their
own. Listen to the child and try to understand their point of view, and help them to understand
yours. Then together, try to think of ways to solve the problem that you are both happy with. It
might take a while but it will be worth it, and will help to build your relationship. How positive

Restoring Trust in WorldCom 1. What are the three or four central objectives that Breeden hopes to
achieve with the proposals in Restoring Trust ? Why is reform needed? What are the benefits?
What are your concerns regarding the reform? The WorldCom Corporate Monitor, Richard Breeden,
believed that in order to correct the ills that faced the company, WorldCom needed to adopt a strong
Corporate Governance structure. The central objectives of his proposal Restoring Trust included
improving the composition of WorldCom Board, eradicating financial misconduct, correcting
executive compensation and enhancing shareholder influence and involvement. According the

To correct the financial pitfalls of the company, Breeden required members of the Audit Committee
to have strict financial expertise and demonstrate appropriate behavior. He proposed that the
committee hold eight meetings per year, two of which included the General Counsel. Previously,
the Audit Committee spent only three to six hours a year overseeing the financial activities of the
organization with annual revenue in the tens of billions. Breeden sought to bring the internal audit
department; the CFO and the finance team together in the same physical location where they were
previously geographically separate. These changes would be beneficial, as it would improve
internal communication and increase the involvement of the Audit Committee in the financial
operation and reporting of the company. The Audit Committee would be responsible for reviewing
the performance of the CFO as well as the external auditors. Breeden believed the more
transparency the Audit Committee had the more accountability it would be able to place on the
Financial Team, leading to better financial reporting practices. One of the more direct mandates
given to Breeden by the court was to prevent excessive executive compensation. Ebbers was able
to buy the loyalty of the board members by issuing retention grants as well the issuance of

Effective Leaders Are All Around Us
Encouraging the Hearts of others: A Guide to Becoming a More Effective Leader
Effective leaders are all around us. Effective leaders lead by example, walk the walk and talk the
talk, and are able to provide their team with the tools they need to be effective and successful.
They support their team in making decisions, but not make the decisions for them. Leaders can
also provide feedback and coaching when necessary. Most leaders rely on their team around them
to reach the goals they set out, both for the leader and for the team. Working with great leaders is
a dream come true for most people. Effective leaders make work better and more exciting. One of
the most important aspects of being a great leader is caring for those individuals that ... Show more

As Kouzes and Posner write, Codianni told us that encouraging the heart is the most important
leadership practice, because it s the most personal. Codianni believes leadership is all about
people, and if you re going to lead people you have to care about them (2003, p. 8). Caring about
others creates a powerful bond between the leader and the follower. As Gurenlian writes, This
concept comes from leadership literature, but was recognized as something relevant to
demonstrate support for one another (2014, p.10). This strong bond is what makes the leader
effective. By showing the follower that they are important and that they truly matter, the leader
can extract better results from those individuals that he or she is leading. After time, leaders
produce more leaders. Leaders are not just those who hold certain position, otherwise known as
position power, but as Crossan, Mazutis, Seijts, and Gandz write. However, our view of leadership
is not focused on power or position, but rather on the capacity of individuals to bring the best of
themselves to support and enable others, ensure the organizations they work with achieve at the
highest level, and in doing so, contribute to society (2013, p.391).
Clear Standards What truly makes those seven essentials to encouraging the heart truly great? First
is setting clear standards. Setting clear standards starts set the platform for action. Setting goals can
generate excitement and

Literary Analysis of The Swimmer The Swimmer by John Cheever was published in 1964. The
short story show the reader the emptiness many experienced during the mid century white flight.
The Swimmer gives a view into the life of Ned Merrill, an affluent suburban man s life. Cheever
uses symbolism, imagery, and tone to convey the theme of narcissism and suburban emptiness
during the 1960 s. In The Swimmer, Cheever uses symbolism as a tool to portray the theme of
the short story. One symbol the author uses throughout the story is pools. The description of
each pool shows the reader how Ned Merrill changes as a character. At the beginning of the story,
the pools represent Merrill s youthfulness and energy. The first pools Ned encounters represent his
life at a high point. These pools are described as a type of paradise (The Swimmer Symbols).

In To Build a Fire by Jack London, a foolish man decides to hike in severely cold weather, despite
warnings from others. In the beginning he does well and keeps plenty warm. Unfortunately he
falls shin deep into cold water and has to try and build a fire so he doesn t freeze. While trying to

After several unsuccessful attempts at making a fire, more and more of his body starts to go
numb from the cold. He thinks of several irrational solutions to his predicament, all of which fail
and he eventually freezes to death. The story shows the complete indifference nature has to human
life. The hiker in To Build a Fire thinks of himself as experienced and refuses to heed the
warnings about the extreme cold he is heading into. When he is first starting out, things seem to be
going well until he falls into some water. Usually, there are some warning signs that the ground
walked upon has water underneath, but nature gave no clues and the hiker fell into its trap. At a

  • 2. Should the 22nd Amendment Be Repealed In the political world today there are so many different opinions about several different topics. The topics that I will address to you will be, should the 22nd Amendment be repealed and also should the foreign born be allowed to run for president. In both topics you may have your pros and cons, but I am strongly against the both of them because I feel that the Constitution should not be taken advantage of. Government should not be allowed to manipulate the Constitution to suit his or her needs. While making adjustments to the Constitution to allow different things to take place for convenience doesn t leave any form respect of the Constitution. There should be a line drawn to keep this from happening for years to come on these issues... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Republicans are pushing for Schwarzenegger to be the one who put this statement to an end reach reads: Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution. It reads, No person except a natural born citizen ... shall be eligible to the office of president (CNN News, 2004). Schwarzenegger s supporters are pushing for a constitutional amendment that would allow the Austrian born governor to run for president while others are against this change, (USA Today, 2005). These issues and other issues are just a test to see if the American people will allow such changes to take place without having input on it. In addition, it could become a test of American attitudes toward immigrants in the post 9/11 era, and also put some more thought into the topic of interest. I am totally against it because I am employed by the Immigration service and changes to the Constitution would allow room for disasters to our country. Although, there are some immigrants that are here to make a difference, there are still others who will not remain loyal to our country and follow our guidelines of making our country a safe and better place to live. http://www.termlimits.org/Current_Info/22nd Amendment text.html ... • 3. Analysis Of The Yellow Wall Paper Charlotte Perkins Gilman s The Yellow Wall paper serves as a perfect example of how women are treated in the 19th century. The distracting details both surrounding and filling the new house that the main character and her husband move into haunt her. Throughout the story, the main character, as she observes the house while in isolation, notices the true meaning in life, specifically for women. Gilman s piece unveils the unfortunate requirements that women must meet in order to become accepted into society. The imagery and description of the house mentioned in The Yellow Wall paper holds a much more symbolized sense reassuring the main character about women s roles in life, according to humanity. Along with the other furniture in the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anything that comes out of the main character s mouth regarding the desire to rearrange the house for valid purposes sounds silly to him, as he continues to treat her less than a wife, let alone a woman. To him, all that mattered was his wife to stay healthy for [his] sake and for [their] child s sake, as well as for [her] own exactly in that order (Gilman, 850). The main character must focus on being the perfect wife, the perfect mother, and serve the family whenever they depended on her. Her own health and worries were her last priority. John, just like society, expects high standards for women to meet in order to belong and if they couldn t meet those expectations, then they were not respected. Not only does the main character observe the meaning behind the wallpaper, but so does her sister in law. However, it does not seem to satisfy her nor change her perspective on life either. John s sister seems to be content living the domestic life, and hopes for no better profession , and obeys society s values. Jennie portrays the women from the 19th century who follow what every man would want in a lady (Gilman, 847). There was no need for a woman to be out working when that job belonged to the husband. The wife was needed at home for the children, as well as clean any mess or cook all the meals for the family, as they depended on her to do so. One attribute from the house that almost drove the main character over the edge was the nursery, especially ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Leaching Of Human Exposure (BPA) Human exposure can occur through multiple routes, however oral exposure is the major route of exposure to BPA, thus, oral exposure occurs because of the leaching of BPA from polycarbonate containers and from the plastic lining of cans (Chris et al., 2009). Furthermore, BPA is also detected in indoor air primarily associated with dust, which indicates exposure can occur through inhalation (Taylor, 2008). Exposure to BPA in humans received dramatic attention when it was detected in serum, follicular and amniotic fluids, fetal serum, milk of nursing mothers, and in the urine (Gould et al., 1998). • 5. Essay Analysis of The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost In the Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken there is a pervasive and in many ways intrinsic sense of journey throughout. In such, the poem explores an aspect associated with human decision, or indecision, relative to the oxymoron, that choices with the least the difference should bear the most indifference, but realistically, carry the most difficulty. This is conveyed through the use of several pivotal techniques. Where the first such instance is the use of an extended metaphor, where the poem as a whole becomes a literary embodiment of something more, the journey of life. The second technique used is the writing style of first person. Where in using this, the reader can depict a clear train of thought from the walker and understand... Wherein this is the extent of the metaphor, where in this poem it is a changeable anomaly subject to the readers interpretation of taking the road less travelled and whether it be a positive (sigh of satisfaction) or negative (sigh of regret). This is all one can hope when using a metaphor relating to the readers life, that they substitute their own feelings and create their own meaning, their own attitude towards to such decisions and subsequently, such journeys. Furthermore, we have the use of first person, where the almost universal effect is to have an in depth look into the character and their immediate response to a problem or dilemma. This poem no different, where in the first stanza we are ushered in with the use of anaphora in lines 2, 3 and 4 with the repetition of the word and . This specific use of anaphora is used to create the mindset and intelligible deduction of the traveller to the events and dilemma prescribed to him. Insofar as his immediate reaction be being presented with a choice. It shows his reaction of regret in that he is sorry he could not travel both and explains what he wish he could do be two travellers but also how he initiates his decision making process looked down one as far as I could . Yes it is a short story about a country housewife that lives a boring life and grows beautiful flowers. She is then mislead to believe that a perfect stranger has interest in her flowers and is moved to reveal to him her secrets in growing them and even give him not only some of her prized shoots from the flowers but also some work so that he is given what he originally wanted. She then decides that wine will help her feel some sort of contentment but in that moment she moves from a powerful fertile woman into a bitter old woman through the power of simple neglect. Elisa s fulfillment came through her flowers, once they were abandoned on the side of the road Elisa felt herself to be trivial and unappreciated and finally came to terms with the way the world viewed her. After the man who admires her Chrysanthemums leaves her Elisa begins to ready herself for a night on the town with her husband Henry. When Prospero first Prospero learnt from his mistake in treating Caliban kindly and realized that the only way to treat such an immoral creature was to be strict and threaten or else Caliban will take advantage of his kindness. He understands that the only fair way to treat Caliban is to be strict with him because this is the only form of treatment that Caliban can respond to well. In Act 2 Scene 3 when Caliban plots to kill his master Prospero with his newly found drunken master Stephano we can see that Shakespeare is portraying Caliban as a creature with very base instincts. From Caliban s actions, it is difficult to see understand why Prospero does not cast away Caliban. He says in Act 5: ...this thing of darkness I Acknowledge mine, referring to Caliban. On one level, it seems that Caliban is an evil character but on another level, Shakespeare tries to depict Caliban as a part of Prospero s character. This is shown when Prospero accepts responsibility for Caliban. Prospero understands that Caliban is the baser side of himself, even the baser side of humanity s baser instincts. Comparing Organic Farming and Conventional Farming There are many evidences exist that due to conversion of conventional to organic farming, producers have received better yield, on the contrary, many reviewed findings show that in conversion period, farmers have gained lower yield. Many researchers evidences have also revealed that, in the long term, organic farmingsystem may work to enhance agricultural productivity (Hoque, 2012). For instance, in many developing countries, significant amount of yield rises in crops and fruits in terms of organic farming projects. These achievements are varied with soil fertility management procedures such as proper composting, green manure, cover crops, legumes culture, crop rotation, organic fertilizerapplication and other soil conservation practices (Zundel and Kilcher, 2007). The average yield of organic farming over all crops was 75% of conventional crop yield. The main reason for low yield in organic farming was insufficient availability of nutrient. Input energy consumption in organic farming was 21% lower than conventional farming. Lower energy inputs in organic farming were mainly due to the low use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides (Tuomisto et al., 2012). A change that can help many students in many ways that later on the future there is going to be a big change and improvement on their lives. In the story of Marita s Bargain explains how Everyone says that KPP is hard, but once you get the hang of it, it s not really that hard. In the story Marita s is a young girl who got the chance to be in a program name KPP where school was really challenging for her not only because she is a young girl but becuase she and her family do not have the benefits of being wealthy, so just with a chance even though she has to wake up really early and be up all day in school after all you will eventually be use to it and it s going to be really easy at the end of the day. After all In return, KIPP promises that it will take kids like her who are stuck in poverty and give them a chance to get out. • 20. Essay about The Global Warming Debate Global warming is not a conqueror to kneel before but a challenge to rise to. A challenge we must rise to. Joe Lieberman INTRODUCTION Global warming is a controversial environmental topic in today s society. Global warming is when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane, chlorofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, and nitrous oxide) act as a blanket that insulates the earth and prevents heat from escaping into space, which in turn causes the global temperature to rise. This greenhouse effect is a naturally occurring phenomenon; without it, the earth would be too cold for any life to inhabit. However, due to fossil fuel burning and other human activities, there is an excess amount of greenhouse ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The majority of scientists link this temperature rise to the increase in carbon dioxide; however, other scientists argue that the temperature rise is a part of a natural fluctuation. In 1997, delegates to an international summit on global warming in Kyoto, Japan approved an agreement called the Kyoto Protocol, which requires 38 industrialized nations to limit greenhouse gas emissions. These nations must accept legally binding limits, which will reduce greenhouse emissions to levels that are an average of five percent below the emission levels of 1990. The reduced levels are to be achieved between 2008 and 2012 (http://encarta.msn.com). PRO ARGUMENT Greenhouse gases reduce the escape of the earth s infrared radiation into space. This greenhouse effect causes the earth to maintain warm temperatures. Due to human activities, the earth s temperature has steadily increased, thus causing global warming. This rise in temperature leads to climate change, an increase of infectious diseases, droughts, changes in precipitation, the rising and warming of oceans, and glacial melting. One effect of climate change is the spread of infectious diseases, such as vector borne ones. Vector borne diseases are illness transmitted to humans directly from insects or animals (http:/ /www.nas.com/nwrc/epireprt/epivec.htm). Religion is the one beacon of hope that joins all humans together on Earth as they believe in an afterlife. If technology has come to a point where religion is obsolete and every philosophical question can be answered, then there is no basis for living. There is no point in trying to be a moral person. There is no mystery about what will happen after this life on Earth. There is nothing to turn to even in the very worst of moments because hope has been taken away. Due to Kepler s laws of orbital motion and the objects being as close they were to Earth s gravitational pull, the two satellites collided at about five miles per second (Parker, greeniacs.com). The result of the collision proves Kessler s concerns, as a cloud of thousands of pieces of broken equipment and satellite parts was created, which is now in Earth s orbit. The true danger of space debris relies in the speed of each piece. Since each piece travels at around four to five miles per second, smaller pieces could be catastrophic towards future missions (Dunbar, nasa.gov). One such case of debris causing damage comes through the missions STS 50 to STS 114. Over the span of these 54 missions, debris and meteoroids hit the windows of the shuttles about 1600 times, resulting in 92 replacements (Madrigal, wired.com). The European Recovery Program Of The United States Essay Left as one of the only remaining major powers, not significantly devastated by World War II, the United States of America lit the beacon of humanitarian aid. At its own discretion, after the Soviet Union s refusal of America s extent of influence and relief in the European continent, the U.S. was free to do as it pleased regarding attempts of foreign assistance. Secretary of State in the U.S. at the time, George Marshall, proposed the Marshall Plan , originally called the European Recovery Program , in June of 1947, during his speech at Harvard University. Marshall s argument was to provide 13 billion U.S. dollars, about 5% of the American gross domestic product during that period, to European nations to bail them out of their continental crisis post World War II. The plan was in operation for four years, rebuilding war terrorized countries with several goals put in place by the United States. America would take on the responsibility to rebuild their economies, rebuild their currency, and foster a free and open trade between European and U.S. economies. Aid provided by major powers usually involves some level of self interest, benefiting the donors as well as the needs of those in less fortunate situations. I must refute. An unexamined life is the only life worth living. I live my life gazing into the future, unburdened by the past. In fact, I have never looked into a mirror, never taken a bath, never looked out of a window at night. When my friends have the hiccups, I take them on a joyride. Switching lanes always cures the hiccups. Another advantage is you never have to adjust non existent mirrors. In the glovebox of my car lies my reflection free permit. Ever since fourth grade when I picked up the name toilet pants, I ve picked up a dislike for the place. After all, there s only one bathroom without any mirrors the Great Outdoors. Not writing a reflection is the better decision because it allows me to avoid being bogged down by the past. Retrospection must not taint my memories. A reflection isn t something you can keep to yourself, a sequestered treasure nestled in the subconscious. Society and success demand that we expose ourselves. This exposure can be about the time my dog died or the time my ice cream fell from the cone or the time my favorite racecar was stolen. I ve never tried reflecting, of course. Big Data A New Source Big Data a new source in Statistics BIS 625 Research in Information Systems Back ground: Social Scientists exhibit overconfidence in the reliability of the statistical data which was achieved by single or a small sampling. However, the reliability of data is mostly confined to a smaller volumes. Statistics, when dealing with larger volumes of data exhibit inaccurate results. There are many factors which affect the end results. This might be due to the improper sampling, improper handling of large volumes of data or inefficiency in analyzing the large volumes. Growing technologies are able to handle the data management and analyzing problems. Big Data, is a modern technology which can handle such large data, analyze it and can get better results. Long before the term big data emerged, Europe already had a pioneer in the field Alan Turing, the British mathematician who broke Nazi Germany s Enigma code and is widely viewed as the father of modern computing and algorithms. Throughout this comparison, I wish to discover the characteristics shared by both the Wentworth Hall and Pantheon and the special meanings behind these two old buildings. The history of the Pantheon project was originally from the emperor Augustus and built by the architect Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. During the reign of the Roman emperor Titus, in approximately 80 A.D, the Pantheon temple was burned down in a fire. Eventually, the third Roman emperor Domitian of the Flavian dynasty rebuilt a new temple there, but this one was also destroyed in a fire in 110 A.D. Around 120 A.D Roman period, King Hadrian rebuilt the third Pantheon in a more modern style and this is the temple we have today. Apollodorus of Damascus, who was an architect designer during that period of time, assisted King Hadrian in rebuilding the best preserved Roman monument, the new Pantheon. The reconstruction of this project started soon after Hadrian became emperor and it was probably completed by 125 A.D. To honor Agrippa, Hadrian left a message over the door written in early Greek. Hadrian mentioned that he was the originally creator who had built the temple. The Pantheon building has had just a tremendously complex architectural history. It doesn t help that commonly used lights in parking garages produce an eerie off white color that disorients the customer. However, this can be changed by using clean reflective surfaces on the ceiling and walls and by using LED lighting. Here is how you benefit from this change: More Attractive to Your Customers Bright lighting elevates the mood of your customers and makes them feel safer. The feeling of safety that people experience in daylight is both real and psychological. This feeling is reproduced in parking garages brightly lit with LEDs. LED lights closely resemble daylight and therefore produce similar psychological feelings. The improved lighting also makes the area more attractive and upscale. Poor lighting is a common reason property owners are required to pay damages in these lawsuits. The above benefits are further enhanced by clean, white reflective wall and ceiling surfaces. This disperses light and increases the overall illumination. The right choice of paint or surface treatment will also repel dirt and soot buildup, which diminish the garage illumination over time. • 40. Amish Cultural Beliefs Amish Cultural and Religious Beliefs Impacting Health Care Trends Walking into an Amish community is like taking a trip through time. They are a religious group that has upheld the standards of a life far removed from the modern world. The Amish come from descendants from German speaking nations in and around Europe (Henderson, 2010). As such, church hymns and other important documents are written in a type of Germanic language, known sometimes as Pennsylvania Dutch. German and Pennsylvania Dutch are still common methods for formal communication within the Amish community, although most of its members speak English in informal situations. The community also upholds social roles that many would find outdated. Women are restricted to the household, and thus their roles are severely limited compared to women in modern communities. It is the men that have more freedom within the community. Also, many within the Amish community tend to take the view point that everything happens for a reason. This then impacts their overall view of individual health and tragedies. When an individual gets sick or dies, many within the community believe it was God s will, and so often not much is done to prevent God s will from manifesting (Henderson, 2010). Thus, it is clear that their cultural and religious beliefs impact their overall health. The Amish extreme views and beliefs often keep them separate from the rest of society, which can have an impact on their overall health and how they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Between The Monster Grendel And The Old Testament Allusions to the Books Genesis and Wisdom: The interconnection between the monster Grendel and the Old Testament Beowulf displays Christian influences in the description of Grendel especially through the allusion to the Old Testament. Initially, Grendel is presented as a monster that simply kills without any justification in why he decides to act in such fashion. However, as one alludes to the Old Testament specifically to the Book Genesis and the Book Wisdom, the reasoning behind Grendel s actions become clear. Grendel s tendency to kill out purely out of rage, provides a parallel to the biblical story of Cain and Abel, which explores the preposterousness of Grendel s human aspects. This results in their fates being intertwined in the way they carry their burden of being condemned by god, reinforced in Grendel s hints of human emotion when He went away wrenched, deprived of joy, to find his place of death, mankind s foe (Beowulf 1274 75). Ultimately, the biblical story of Cain and Abel in the Book Genesis explores Grendel s character and motive though the expression of human emotion as well as the evil nature rooted in the origins of Cain s sin of fratricide. Grendel, besides the heavy influence of Cain and his sin of fratricide, is also portrayed as a representative of God s anger towards the Pagans caused by their lack of piety. Neidorf argues that Grendel s presence after the extinction of the giants caused by the flood links Cain with postdiluvian monsters, implying God s failed attempt to eliminate the evil that originated from Cain. If CI companies were to act in an unethical manner, they would clearly be driven out of the marketplace by companies acting honestly. Additionally, CI companies should be compelled to act ethically as the companies they research could be forced into bankruptcy or subject to criminal discipline if CI research were misconstrued to show their subjects in a false, negative light.
