I would say that during my elementary years, I had a pretty good childhood. One of my
highlights of this time was spending a lot of my time with my childhood best friend. My mind

could definitely say my life would be very different now.
To start, I had a best friend named Caitlin Teague who lived in this house. We met before we were
even in kindergarten. Her mom brought her to my house and asked me if I wanted to play with
Caitlin. After that day of playing together, we become best childhood friends and hung out all the
time. I remember doing things like riding our bikes, playing My Little Pony, and outside activities
with her and her siblings. For this reason, I would say she was one of my first real friends.
Before third grade started, in the summer, Caiti mentioned that she may be moving to California
because of her dad s work. I didn t really think much of it because I was young and didn t expect
her to actually move. I pushed it in the back of my mind. Eventually, I found out that she would
actually be moving to California a few months later. Things were official and I was devastated.
In particular, I remember I was over Caiti s house one day and she was crying to her mom about
how she did not want to move and leave me. It was time for me to go home and I remember I
