This document provides instructions for setting up a new Google email account to replace the previous school district email service. It explains that the new Google accounts will work similarly to the old online email but provide access to Google's educational applications. 2. Why are we getting new email? The IU is dropping their email service...

3. and.... We are out of the spam line of fire since we are no longer using k12.pa.us email addresses.

4. What’s different? These are google accounts, AKA gmail.

5. Important: This replaces mail applications like Outlook Express, Entourage, and Apple Mail Stamp.

6. This works in much the same way the online IU email did.

7. A benefit: We now have access to all of google’s applications for educators.

8. Courses on Google’s Applications for educators will be offered starting in the fall.
