This document presents a student project on global warming that discusses its causes, effects, and methods of prevention. The causes discussed include emissions of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels, industrial activity, deforestation, and agriculture. Effects mentioned are rising temperatures, extreme weather, sea level rise, and spread of diseases. Prevention methods recommended are reducing energy usage, choosing reusable products, recycling, planting trees, and using public transportation. The conclusion emphasizes that individual lifestyle changes and forest/farm management are needed along with policy efforts to effectively address global warming.

3. INTRODUCTION
 “Environment does not belongs to
man , man belongs to Environment.”
 As we know, GlobalWorming is an
increase in the temperature of Earth’s
atmosphere.
 The Scientific community believes that
climate like GlobalWorming have
occurred through out Earth’s history
and will continue to occur in the
future.
 A gradual increase in the overall
temperature of the Earth’s
atmosphere generally attributed to
the greenhouse effects by increased
levels of CO2, CH4, N2O & Fluorinated
Gases.

4. DISCUSSION
CAUSES OF GLOBAL WARMING
 Emission of greenhouse
gases like CO2,CH4,N2O
etc. into the atmosphere.
 The major source is CO2
(80%).
 20% by CH4,N2O &
fluorinated gases.

5. GREENHOUSE GASES
 The radiations are
absorbed by greenhouse
gases that in return
emitted in the thermal
infrared range.
 The greenhouse gases are
carbon dioxide, methane,
nitrous oxide , water
vapors etc.

6. EMISSION OF CARBON DIOXIDE
 The major source of CO2 is
the power plants.
 Burning of fossil fuels for
the purpose of electricity
generation.
 About 20% of carbon
dioxide emitted in the
atmosphere comes from
burning of gasoline in the
engines of the vehicles.

7. EMISSION OF METHANE
 Methane is more than 20
times effectual as CO2 at
entrapping heat in the
atmosphere.
 Methane is obtained from
resources such as rice
paddies, bovine flatulence,
bacteria in bogs and fossil
fuel manufacture.

8. EMISSION OF NITROUS OXIDE
 The main sources of N2O
include nylon and nitric
acid production , cars with
catalytic converters , the
use of fertilizers in
agriculture and the burning
of organic matter

9. SOURCES OF GREENHOUSE GAS
EMISSION
 Industrial activity.
 Deforestation.
 Transportation.
 Power plants.
 Agricultural activity.
 Landfills etc.

10. CONSEQUENCES
The effects of global warming
are
 Increasing the average
temperature of earth.
 Alteration in the ecology,
including an increasing sea
level and modifying the
quantity and pattern of
rainfall.
 Boost the occurrence and
concentration of severe
climate events, such as
floods, famines, heat waves,
tornados and twister.

11.  Glacier melting, lesser
summer stream flows,
genus extinctions and rise
in the ranges of disease
vectors.
 Various new diseases have
emerged.
 The global warming is
extending the distribution
of mosquitoes due to the
increase in humidity levels
and their frequent growth
in warmer atmosphere.
 Effects the marine life.

12. OZONE LAYER DEPLETION
 When chlorine and bromine
atoms come into contact with
ozone in the stratosphere,
they destroy ozone
molecules. Ozone can be
destroyed more quickly than
it is naturally created.
 The ozone layer protects the
Earth from the ultraviolet
rays sent down by the sun. If
the ozone layer is depleted by
human action, the effects on
the planet could be
catastrophic.

13. HOW TO PREVENT GLOBAL WARMING
 Plant trees.
 Conserve energy.
 Buy energy efficient
products.
 Buy products that have
reusable or recyclable
packaging.
 Reduce use of car(public
transport instead).
 Use less hot water.

14. RESULT
3R’s of saving mother nature
Reuse, Reduce, Recycle
 Reduce waste by buying reusable
products as opposed to disposables.
 We can also buy products with less
packaging so that we throw less
away.
 Whenever we can, recycle paper,
plastic, glass and metal (aluminium)
.
 By recycling half of our recycling
waste, we can save up tons of CO2
every year from being released into
the atmosphere.

15. CONCLUSION
 Global warming could not be solve easily
if people are not very well practice in
lowering carbon dioxide and other
greenhouse gas emission, law and
regulation’s implementation and
effective forests and agricultural
management.The solutions for this issue
will be more effective when
 individuals change their lifestyles.
Individuals can contribute to reduce the
changes in the global climate through
changing their habits.We must try our
best to solve the problem and strive as
much as possible to reinstate our earth
for sake of future generation.
