Global warming is the increase of the earth's average temperature due to release of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane produced by human pollution. This causes the breakdown of icebergs and increases chances of floods and tsunamis. Greenhouse gases are emitted through activities like burning fossil fuels for energy and transportation and trap heat in the atmosphere, changing the climate. Both human activities like fossil fuel use and natural processes like methane release contribute to global warming and its effects like rising sea levels, more extreme weather, and species extinction. Preventing global warming requires individual actions like using less energy and driving less as well as global solutions like transitioning to renewable energy.
