From March 30 to August 3, over €63 million was donated in the Western Balkans to address the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. In Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and North Macedonia, local and national governments received the largest donations, while in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions were most supported. In Albania, nonprofit organizations received the largest share of donations. The document provides data on the amounts and recipients of philanthropic donations across various countries in the Western Balkans during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
