This was a Service Learning Project done at Real Life Christian Academy in Clermont Fl. The service learning was done with children that had disabilities.
For my service learning project I completed for EEX 4070 I helped out Mrs. Tager’s ESE classroom. The children and I would dance and exercise to a variety of music and video clips I brought in. The children learned how fun exercising can be and that it is healthy for you. They also learned how to listen to their heartbeat and feel how fast or slow it was beating according to how hard they were working their heart muscle. This presentation is about my experience their and how it has changed me for the better

Возможности оценки психологического капитала в организацииOksana Rudaeva

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Give Real Help
1. Give Real Help Allison Carroll callison2009@knights.ucf.edu April 23, 2010 EEX 4070
2. Early Perceptions At the beginning I was a little nervous about working so closely with student’s who have learning disabilities. Even though I am very comfortable working with students and I have been in contact with students who have disabilities, I have never tried to help them excel in school. So I thought this could be a difficult task.
3. I kept and open mind and heart and prepared myself for whatever was thrown my way. It did get easier as the class went along. I had to remind myself every week of all the things we have talked about over the course of the class.
6. Personal Demographics I am a full time student in the College of Education at UCF. I substitute teach during the day for elementary schools. I also work at Outback Steakhouse as a server. I love my family and friends. I try to spend as much time with them as possible. I love being active and playing sports of all kinds.
7. Engagement Activities I worked with two students inparticular in first grade, but also helped with the slow reading group as well. I started in February coming to the school every Tuesday for about an hour or an hour and a half.
8. I worked with my students mainly on reading. I would help them in different areas as needed, but they were really struggling in reading so that it where I wanted to help. I did reading assessments on them also to see if they had progressed.
9. How Get Real Help Started.. My sister is in the Third grade at Real Life Christian Academy. So I have connections there through my parents. Also, Sara Wickham a fellow classmate has worked there for three years and encouraged us to work with the students there. They were more than happy to work with our Service Learning Group in getting into the classroom to gain experience with more challenging students.
10. The goal of our project was to go into the classrooms and provide one-on-one time to students who needed it. Although the children we worked with were not severely disabled by any means, as we have learned in the EEX 4070 course students with LD, or ADD are going to be apart of our future classrooms and experience with them is needed as well.
11. Participant Demographics Each member of our group worked with different teachers and different grade levels.. First Grade Ms. Shirley (Heather & Sara)
15. Reflection of your Experience The students seemed reluctant at first to want to work with me individually. But when they got more comfortable with me, things got better. With encouragement the students really seemed to want to work on their weak areas. Working with students who have a learning disabilities is the same as working with a student who doesn’t. I just think they needed a little more TLC to succeed.
16. Working with these students taught me a lot. I now know different teaching strategies to keep children's’ minds engaged. That was a hard task to over come because the students seemed so distracted all the time. I really do feel that things were accomplished over these two months with my students and I. Not only did we form a bond and successfully conquer reading skills, but I also learned that working with students who have a LD can be very rewarding.
