1. Organ Donation Campaign
Youth making a difference!

2. Who are we?
 We are youth wanting to spread awareness for
organ donation around Australia.
 We are a group of 19 students in year 9-10, also with
a mentor teacher Ms Harris.
 We are all committed, determined and passionate
about the “Give Life Live Life” campaign.
 A few members in this campaign have been touched
with someone close to them having a transplant, so
this campaign is something every close to our
hearts.

3. Purpose:
 Our purpose is to share our knowledge and
understanding of how important organ
donations can be in every day life.
 We hope that this campaign grows from Mount
Eliza, to The Peninsula and eventually even
further.

4. Facts:
 You must be 16 yrs+ to register
 Only 1700 people on the transplant list
 Registration is voluntary
 Donations can include: Organs- Kidneys, heart, lungs, liver
and pancreas, Tissue- heart valves, bone tissue, skin and eye
tissue
 One organ & tissue donor can save the lives of 10 or more
people
 Australia is a world leader for successful transplant outcomes
 In 2013, 391 organ donors gave 1,122 Australians a new chance
in life.
 In Australia the family of every potential donor will be asked
to confirm the donation decision of their loved one before
donation can proceed.

5. Our plans/project
 We have contacted donate life – registration forms are being
sent.
 We will be publicising this campaign through local press,
community radio & TV.
 Collect signatures in the Village
 Leaflet drop, locally
 Posters/campaign details in local shop windows
 Work in conjunction with Bendigo Bank, Lions Club, Rotary.

6. How can you help?
 Sponsorship/assistance would be greatly
appreciated for:
- T-shirts: carry our slogan
- Printing costs of posters, leaflets etc.
- Support & direction
