CLOTHING YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
CLOTHED BY FAITH501(c)3
“See the lilies of the field grow...If that is how Godclothes the grass ofthe
fields...will he not much more clothe you…” Matthew 6:28-30
WHO WE ARE
Our Mission: Clothed By Faith seeks to show God’s love by providing
clothing to those struggling with poverty in Houston TX and the
surrounding area.
From modest beginnings in the garage of the founder’s home 18 months
ago, today CBF is 501c3 accredited and operates from a 1250 sq. ft.
warehouse and office. We have a
fantastic board that work on a
voluntary basis, 6 fulltime volunteers,
another 7 who work part time and then
an extended network of 60+ helpers
who are on call when the need arises.
Client testimonial
“Thank youfor your
kindness & help, for which I’m really so
appreciative…I feel so very blessed and
happy…thisisdue to you. THANKYOU!” —
Kathy B, Clothed By Faith Client.
Clothed By Faith has helped over 1,100
people inthe Houstoncommunity withinthe
last 18 months
WHAT WE DO
When we give clothing, our policy is to only give gently used clothing that
has been donated to us by the public. We wash and wrap the clothes and
place in a gift bag before giving to the recipient. Gently used is a quality
that our volunteers consider they would wear. We believe this shows our
respect for our clients, and ensures their dignity when receiving our
clothes.
Clothed By Faith is the largest Houstoncharity
providing clothing to those struggling with
poverty.
Wemeet and interact with our clients at;
 Breakfasts for the homeless
 “Pop-up” stores within under-privileged
communities,
 Individual requests through our website
 requests from school counsellors

the homeless and give clothing.

under-privileged communities to
shop for free. Each event is set-up
like a carnival and we will serve up

HOMELESS OUTREACH IN
DOWNTOWN HOUSTON
In association with the Homeless Outreach Team (a division of Harris
County Police Department), we will partner with Downtown charities to
help meet the clothing needs of the homeless. In addition to giving
clothing, we will be working with these organizations to help educate the
homeless on how and where they can get help.
“In the Houston area, the most recent statistics indicate
that more than 6,300 people are without a home on any
given night.” (http://www.homelesshouston.org/homelessness-101/)
We will be partnering with:
 Generation One - committed to the spiritual growth and physical
rebuilding of the impoverished areas of the Third Ward of Houston,
Texas focusing on educating the youth in the community.
 Lord of the Street Episcopal Church - offering spiritual, physical,
emotional and social ministry to Houston’s homeless and
disadvantaged.
 Fishes and Loaves – provide free lunch for homeless.
