1) Ajima Farms and General Enterprises Nigeria Limited has started a bio-2-watts project in 2015 to provide electricity to two off-grid villages in Nigeria using a 124m3 bio-digester with a 20KW generation capacity. 2) There is a large energy access gap in Nigeria, with 93 million people without grid access and fluctuating national generation between 1500-4500MW, while the local Kuje Area Council alone has 260 off-grid villages. 3) The project aims to address the problems of energy poverty and waste landfilling in rural communities by converting biodegradable and agricultural waste via anaerobic digestion into biogas to generate electricity
