Hay School of the Air (Campus)

Our unique Primary school exists to offer educational services to families who are isolated from regular schools. Students, from Kindergarten through to Year 6, who live in a wide range
of environments within NSW, travelling throughout Australia, and overseas, can access our services. We see our school as being a combination of our resources and skills here in Hay, and

Open Training & Education Network (OTEN)

Support
The Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) is a business unit of TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute, providing specialist distance and online education and training services.
OTEN deliver TAFE NSW courses that give graduates nationally recognised qualifications through the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). OTEN offers over 250 qualifications and
courses via flexible methods of delivery and by distance education providing individuals the opportunity to study at a time and place that best suits their needs. OTEN offers TVET courses
for year 11 and 12 students by distance education enabling students to study a vocational course as part of their HSC even if they are unable get to a TAFE college.

TAFE NSW Riverina
Support

The Riverina Institute of TAFE is the largest provider of post secondary vocational education and training in the Riverina region. It comprises 20 campuses and delivers training services for
operators, Tradespersons, Technicians, Managers and Para professionals in a range of key employment areas. TAFE qualifications are nationally recognised. Course guides are available online
(www.ritnsw.edu.au) or at your local campus. Course information will detail possible careers, entry requirements and special conditions, fees etc.

Vocational Access offers courses in numeracy, language, literacy and preparation for work skills. Courses offered include Cert 1 in ESOL, Certificate 1 for Work and Study, Certificate II General
and Vocational Education, Tertiary Preparation Certificate – Year 12 equivalent course. HSC Studies - Must have Year 10 or Certificate II in General Vocational Education pass.

Social Inclusion Unit – Teacher/ Consultant Protocol - Our Social Inclusion services consists of specialists and consultants with strong backgrounds working with people who
experience barriers to education due to cultural, geographic or social isolation. Our service assists people from all backgrounds and circumstances to engage with others, to access the support
services they need and to chart a pathway to further education and to employment. The Social Inclusion service is made up of three clusters based in Albury, Griffith and Wagga Wagga. Each
cluster consists of an Aboriginal Program Coordinator, Disability Teacher Consultant and an Outreach Coordinator.
For those students with a disability it is vital to contact the relevant Teacher/Consultant prior to your client/s enrolling in a course/s. This allows for people to have an interview with their
Teacher/Consultant, and if necessary, organise any Reasonable Adjustment requirements.
Students enrolled at TAFE also have access to a TAFE Counsellor who can assist in career pathways, personal and financial issues

Alcohol and other drug counselling, information about alcohol and other drugs.
Outpatient and hospital support for people undergoing detoxification and rehabilitation for drug and alcohol abuse.
Assistance with applications for rehabilitation is also provided and a methadone program is in operation.
A free, confidential needle exchange provides syringes, swabs, condoms, lubricant and disposal for used syringes. Used needle disposal and a vending machine for FIT packs are available
24/7.
Crisis care, counselling, assistance, information, referral, advocacy, court support, group work and support for young male and female children, young people and adults who are victims
of sexual assault.
Support is also offered for non-offending members of their families, partners and friends.
Mental health support for 14-25 year olds who are at risk of developing mental illness through early intervention work.

Narrandera Community Health Service
Support
Alcohol and other drug counselling, information about alcohol and other drugs.
Outpatient and hospital support for people undergoing detoxification and rehabilitation for drug and alcohol abuse.
Assistance with applications for rehabilitation is also provided and a methadone program is in operation.
A free, confidential needle exchange provides syringes, swabs, condoms, lubricant and disposal for used syringes. Used needle disposal and a vending machine for FIT packs are available
24/7.
Crisis care, counselling, assistance, information, referral, advocacy, court support, group work and support for young male and female children, young people and adults who are victims
of sexual assault.
Support is also offered for non-offending members of their families, partners and friends.
Mental health support for 14-25 year olds who are at risk of developing mental illness through early intervention work.

YES Youth and Family Support Services

Support
Stay Safe Program: Provides up to 6 months of case management support to clients of the Department of Juvenile Justice aged 12 to 18 yrs. The young people may be exiting a period of
detention and/or are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The program is offered in Albury, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Deniliquin, Narrandera, Leeton, Bathurst, Wellington,
Dubbo, Parkes, Orange and Forbes (other areas as need reflect).

Employment Skilling Program: Provides 12 months case management, support and advocacy for young people aged 10-18 years to re-engage in education, training and employment and
cultural programs. This program is offered in Wagga Wagga, Griffith and Leeton.

Students, from Kindergarten through to Year 6, who live in a wide range of environments within NSW, travelling throughout Australia, and overseas, can access our services. The Riverina EASY (Engaging and Supporting Youth) Guide 2011 Open Training & Education Network (OTEN) Support The Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) is a business unit of TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute, providing specialist distance and online education and training services. OTEN deliver TAFE NSW courses that give graduates nationally recognised qualifications through the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). OTEN offers over 250 qualifications and courses via flexible methods of delivery and by distance education providing individuals the opportunity to study at a time and place that best suits their needs. OTEN offers TVET courses for year 11 and 12 students by distance education enabling students to study a vocational course as part of their HSC even if they are unable get to a TAFE college. Referral Self, parent and school but interview and assessment may be required. Area covered NSW regions. Aim OTEN offers around 200 qualifications and courses flexibly and by distance, giving individuals the opportunity to study at a time and place that best suits them. The Riverina EASY (Engaging and Supporting Youth) Guide 2011 TAFE NSW Riverina Support The Riverina Institute of TAFE is the largest provider of post secondary vocational education and training in the Riverina region. It comprises 20 campuses and delivers training services for operators, Tradespersons, Technicians, Managers and Para professionals in a range of key employment areas. TAFE qualifications are nationally recognised. Course guides are available online (www.ritnsw.edu.au) or at your local campus. Course information will detail possible careers, entry requirements and special conditions, fees etc. Vocational Access offers courses in numeracy, language, literacy and preparation for work skills. Courses offered include Cert 1 in ESOL, Certificate 1 for Work and Study, Certificate II General and Vocational Education, Tertiary Preparation Certificate – Year 12 equivalent course. Social Inclusion Unit – Teacher/ Consultant Protocol - Our Social Inclusion services consists of specialists and consultants with strong backgrounds working with people who experience barriers to education due to cultural, geographic or social isolation. Our service assists people from all backgrounds and circumstances to engage with others, to access the support services they need and to chart a pathway to further education and to employment. The Social Inclusion service is made up of three clusters based in Albury, Griffith and Wagga Wagga. Each cluster consists of an Aboriginal Program Coordinator, Disability Teacher Consultant and an Outreach Coordinator. For those students with a disability it is vital to contact the relevant Teacher/Consultant prior to your client/s enrolling in a course/s. This allows for people to have an interview with their Teacher/Consultant, and if necessary, organise any Reasonable Adjustment requirements.
