18. Federal Tax Credit
 Energy Policy Act of 2005
- Commercial and/or industrial facilities that complete
energy efficiency projects before December 31, 2011 are
eligible for federal tax deductions up to $1.80/sqft
- If the total energy consumption is substantiated to be
reduced by 50% or more, the full tax credit of $1.80 per
square foot may be possible to claim
- If the total energy consumption is reduced by a less than
50%, a tax credit of 60¢ per square foot may be possible
to claim 18

19. Federal Tax Credit
 Finance Options
- The Federal Tax Credit may pay for up to 60% or more
of our Demand-side energy efficiency solutions. The
remaining 40% is more than offset by the monthly savings
realized through the energy efficiency program(s).
- In essence, Federal tax dollars combined with hard
dollars saved from overpaying local utilities will actually
pay for our Demand-side energy efficiency solutions.
