An angle consists of two rays that share a common vertex point. The angle is denoted by the vertex point followed by the labels of the rays that form the angle. In a figure, angle PQS, angle SQP, angle SQR, and angle RQS are examples of angles formed by the intersection of rays. The measure of an angle is represented by mA, and angles with the same measure are called congruent. Next class will cover angle measurement postulates and angle types such as acute, right, obtuse, straight, and adjacent angles.
