EXPLAINED
RAHUL VERMA
Draw a profile using the interaction of contours along the profile line X-Y.
Choose a reference bed and draw a strike line by choosing two points on the same
bed cutting the same value of contours.
( These two points will refer to eyes).
Now choose another point on same bed cutting a higher value contour. (This point
will refer to nose).
Draw a line parallel to the reference strike line that passes through the nose.
Draw a parallel between the two strike lines to get the horizontal equivalent.
All other strike lines can be drawn using the same H.E.
Determine the Dip Amount and Dip Directions of the bed, fault and dyke using the
same method.
Plot the beds accordingly.
Determine through with the two methods:
By drawing strike lines on the map
By measuring on the cross section drawn.
