Essay On Nick Gatsby
In the article The Trouble with Nick: Reading Gatsby Closely, Scott Donaldson argues that Nick
Carraway is a snob (98). Donaldson cites Carraway s intolerance toward those who do not know
how to act, Carraway s conflicting feelings about Gatsby, and Carraway s obsession with social
propriety as manifestations of his snobbery. According to Donaldson, a final revelation of
Carraway s aloof attitude is his static personality, a personality that refuses to learn from the
experiences of others. However, Scott Donaldson s argument is incorrect; Nick Carraway is not a
snob. In F. Scott Fitzgeralds The Great Gatsby, Nick Carraway is an unpretentious man who
exemplifies tolerance and respect and learns from his experiences. Nick Carraway exhibits... Show

Donaldson argues that by insisting on having been invited to Gatsby s party and in attempting
to thank Gatsby for inviting him to a party, Carraway appears rather ridiculous and is overly
formal and pretentious (101). Donaldson explains that Carraway s obsession with social rules
reveals his snobbery. Once again, Donaldson is incorrect; Carraway s actions are signs of
respect, not of ridiculous pretentiousness. Carraway does not attend one of Gatsby s parties until
Gatsby formally invites him. Waiting to attend a party is a sign of respect, not aloofness. By
waiting for a formal invitation to attend Gatsby s party, Carraway reveals his respect for Gatsby s
privacy and home. Additionally, Carraway spends the majority of his first party attempting to find
Gatsby and thank him for his hospitality. Again, Carraway s actions are polite and demonstrate
respect for Gatsby. Instead of rudely ignoring his host as so many of his fellow guests do,
Carraway attempts to politely thank Gatsby for his hospitality, illustrating his respect for Gatsby.
Hence, Nick Carraway exhibits reasonable social decorum and exemplifies respect, not arrogance,
in his interactions with

Post Colonialism Essay
Introduction Post colonialism is a period of time following colonialism, and postcolonial literature
is typically characterized by its opposition to the colonial. Postcolonial literature often targets on
race relations and the outcome of racism along with generally implies white and/or colonial
societies. Simon During, in his essay discussing the nature and boundaries of post colonialism,
argues for a more inclusive definition, calling it the need, in nations, or groups which have been
victims of imperialism to achieve an identity uncontaminated by universalist or Eurocentric
concepts or images. Works of literature that are defined as postcolonial often record racismor a
history of genocide including slavery, apartheid, and the mass extinction of people, such as the
Aborigines in Australia. Post colonialism includes a vast array of writers and subjects. In fact, the
very different geographical, historical, social, religious, and economic concerns of the different ex
colonies dictate a wide variety in the nature and subject of most postcolonial writings. In this regard
some women colonial writers sketch a relationship among post colonialism... Show more content on

Sexism is just the stress put together by ideological complexities of male dominance above their
female counterparts. Within direct correlation with the traditional literary canon, the site with the

scrutinized if they have a tendency to represent men in the negative light. Hence it is logical that
works written by women of color reference the female struggle versus sexism. After all, the
writers themselves have lived and witnessed these experiences. To begin a discussion of the

RIDDIR Legislation
In an engineering workplace it is important for the employee to report accidents as this is part of
the RIDDIR legislation and this needs to be followed by the engineering industry. By following the
legislation you can prevent any accident or incidents occurring to any employee or employer within
any workplace.
Ill health and accidents are quite common at work because this happened in 2011/12, 1.1 million
people who were working were suffering from illnesses, and some people believed that the illnesses
were caused from or made worse from their current work or their past work.
We record and report at work because it is a legal requirement under The Reporting of Injuries,
Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR).
RIDDOR sets a legal obligation on: the employers, the self employed people, and the people who
are in control of the premises. These responsible people will need to report and record incidents,
diseases, injuries and any dangerous occurrences that will involve employees, the self employed
workers and all members of the public.
The evidence provided through the recording and reporting will allow authorities such as HSE or

Why America Is A Great Nation
Why do I believe America is a great nation? America s greatness comes from our freedom, our
people, and our First Amendment Rights of religion, speech, press and assembly. Freedom is an
inalienable right that many people of the U.S. take for granted. Our civil rights are part of our
freedom. People that invade upon our rights are punished. The severity of this punishment
depends upon how harshly our rights are violated. And, although freedom doesn t come with
guarantees of a perfect life, we are all free to choose our own destinies. America is the greatest
most powerful country in the world, not just because of our army but because of the values of our
people. (President Barrack Obama,2014, p.1). President Obama says that we the American

Among the 16 types I categorized under the personality ENTP: Extraverted, iNtuitive, Thinking,
Perceiving. ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue both
for its own sake, and to show off their debating skills. This is something that could be changed in a
leadership environment. ENTPs tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy
playing devil s advocate. This sometimes confuses, even angers, those who don t understand or
accept the concept of argument as a sport. ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this
(perhaps because of it?), they can become petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences.
(Major setbacks they regard as challenges, and tackle with determination.) ENTPs have little
patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in
demonstrating this. In general, however, they are genial, even charming, when not being harassed
by life. ENTPs may sometimes give the impression of being largely oblivious to the rest of
humanity except as an audience: good, bad, or potential. In general, this is unfair but it can be
difficult to get an ENTP s attention when they re not immediately aware of you, especially for an

What Is Tutankhamun s Role In Ancient Egypt
The discovery of Tutankhamun s Tomb by Howard Carter in 1922 revealed an astonishing quantity

Visualization on how Self Handicapping Can Lead to Procrastination and Low Self Esteem
Self esteem is the central component of every individual s daily life experiences. Self esteem
can be defined as a person s evaluation of the self, e.g. I am not satisfied with me or I like me. We
perform self evaluations on ourselves everyday; it is a non conscious process where as only the
individual knows the end result. Important domains affect us, and unimportant domains do not
(things tailored specifically to the individual). When an individual experiences an emotional gut
feeling , the individual feels either good or bad about themselves. As human beings, we have a
fundamental need for motives of self inclusion (Franzoi 59). Self esteem ... Show more content on

Procrastination is a form of self handicapping that can be applied to almost any aspect in one s
life. The most common thread of procrastination is fear; fear of failure, fear of unpleasant or
painful experiences, and the fear of missing out. When you fear failure you are prone to avoid
involve yourself to begin with. Out of the fear of failing and looking bad, they would often
spend vast amounts of time on a project without making any real progress because at a
subconscious level they don t want to finish a finished project will make them vulnerable for
criticism and consequently failure (Klassen et al. 918) If an procrastinator believes that a task is
going to be an undesirable experience then they will feel constrained not to do it. All these fears
can lead a person to self handicap. A lot of times, a person who might both self handicap and
procrastinate, will use drugs and/alcohol to utilize their actions; an example is drinking the night
before an exam. This individual, who chooses to go out before the exam, is giving themselves an
excuse to why they will not do well on this exam. This is an easy way for this person to maintain
their self esteem level. Baumeister allows me to introduce this concept (409)

Examples Of Sexism In Television Shows
Nowadays, many of the television programs that many of us watch are usually sexist within their
dialogue. However, many of us are unaware of this because our attention is being entertained by the
show itself; so, we do not take the time to analyze and notice what we are truly watching. Many of
us are being sidetracked by the different situations/entertainment found in the show. For instance,
some examples used to cover up sexism in a television show are: comedy/humor, drama, sexuality,
and violence; however, television shows are not the only ones that use this, movies and
advertisements do too. The different examples, pull one s attention into the situation, rather than the
dialogue occurring between characters and how they speak to one another. However, there are
ways to unravel the sex linked differences between characters in television programs; we can
analyze the different forms in which different sex, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and
educational level individuals speak to one another. The intent of analyzing a television show is to
demonstrate the sex linked differences between a familyand their genderroles and humor and drama
are used to hide sexism. Furthermore, the sitcom The Middle will be used in order to prove and
evaluate the sexism that still occurs in many television programs.
The television program: The Middle, is a sitcom based on a family (the Hecks) of five, whom are:
mother (Frankie, 52), father (Mike, 54), son (Axl, 23), daughter (Sue, 21),

Black Male Initiatives On College Campuses Essay
There are several Black male initiatives on college campuses around the United States that focus on
supporting the high school to college matriculation and retention of African American males.
Furthermore, these initiatives are designed to support Black males as they navigate through their
perspectives institutions (Palmer Gasman, 2008). Support can come in many ways. For the purpose
of this section, I will highlight some of the programs that focus on the success of African American
males; Penn GSE Grad Prep Academy, Sam Houston State University, The Ohio State, and UCLA.
The Penn GSE Grad Prep Academy is a part of the Center for the Study of Raceand Equity. The
director of this program is Shaun Harper. According to the schools website (http:/
/www.gse.upenn.edu/equity/content/mission and services), the program is designed to introduce
students who have had few (if any) prior interactions with same race male teachers, professors, and
educational leaders to career possibilities in the field of education. The ultimate program goal is to
prepare African American males for admission to leading research universities, including the
University of Pennsylvania. All accepted program participants receive an all expense paid four day
visit to Philadelphia. During their time on the Penn campus, the participants attend workshops on
searching for graduate programs, writing effective application statements, and crafting research
agendas. Moreover, they interact with Penn GSE

The following is the input that was shared: I would encourage students to get involved on campus.
I enjoyed my time at the school, and had good experiences when doing projects with classmates.
While my time was different than many others (online), I hope it was representative of what others
have experienced. I would say having the opportunity to meet and get mentored was important. My
time knowing my mentor, he trusted in me and helped keep me on track to make sure I was
handling my business off the football field. I would encourage future students to come for the small
class size, the attention given by professors. Come motivated and get a mentor. Mentorship is very
import to all youth, but especially black youth. I believe it takes motivation to be successful, but
many of these kids lack the motivation. That isn t always their fault. Mentors can help them see and
understand where they can find the motivation within themselves. College is definitely what you
make it, get involved if something should change. Plan ahead, know your program that you are

Plato and the Republic Essay
The Sun of Knowledge:
Platonic Epistemology as Discussed in The Republic
The history of philosophy can be viewed as the result of the work of an obscure Athenian whose
voluminous works, penetrating questions, novel ideas, and didactic teachings have shaped the flow
of nearly all philosophic thought. It has been said that the influence of the ancient Greek philosopher
named Plato has laid the foundation for Western culture. Plato was born to an aristocratic family in
Athens in 428/427 B.C. As a young man, Plato studied poetry, but later under the tutelage of the
famed Socrates, turned to philosophy, who introduced him to the ethical importance of the pursuit
of wisdom. Plato was also influenced by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is the purpose of this essay to give an analysis of Plato s theory of the cause of knowledge in the
idea of the good through his illustration of the sun and determine how his theory relates to his
question of justice.
The Forms
Plato in the Republic assumes the reader has an understanding of his doctrine of the forms, thus an
introduction to his doctrine is imperative before a discussion of his illustration of the sun can begin.
Plato was an idealist, meaning that ideas comprise what is ultimately real in this world. This is
antithetical to his student Aristotle who held that material was ultimately real. The Renaissance
painter Raphael illustrates these two contrasting positions in his famous painting The School of
Athens. Raphael depicts Plato with his arm stretched out, pointing to the sky (implying that ideas
are real), and Aristotle with his hand spread, pointing down to the earth (implying that material is
real).
For Plato, ideas, or forms, are intelligible, distinct, eternal patterns of which the objects on earth
are mere reflections. Each object on earth has a corresponding form. For example, there is a
single form of a chair, and all other chairs (whether three legged or four, metal or wood) are flawed
copies of the ultimate, changeless form of the chair. Plato is concerned with the nature of existence.

An Analysis of Solipsism in Kant s Critique of Pure Reason
My goal is to examine solipsism and discover how Immanuel Kant s Transcendental Idealism
could be subject to a charge of being solipsistic. Following this, I will briefly review the destructive
impact this charge would have on certain of Kant s positions. After the case for solipsism is made,
I intend to describe a possible line of rebuttal from Kant s perspective that could be made to the
charge.
The issue of solipsism is intriguing in that it seems to be universally rejected as a basis of
metaphysics. Yet, the modern tradition has had difficulty supporting this rejection. Antony Flew
defines solipsism as, The theory that I am the sole existent. To be a solipsist I... Show more content

Thereafter, the modern tradition was challenged to prove the existence of an external world and the
existence of other minds. Once we concede...that the immediate objects of sense experience are
mind dependent (ideas, impressions, sense data, etc.), it is indeed questionable whether we can
argue validly to the existence or nature of a mind independent external world. (Flew: 330)
Within the Critique of Pure Reason, Kant affirms that our capacity to perceive objects in the
external world is dependent upon the subject s imposition of certain conditions of the possibility of
experience. Time, space and the categories are among these. Thus, human beings are capable of
viewing only the appearance and not things as they are in themselves.
Now a thing in itself cannot be known through mere relations; and we may therefore conclude that
since outer sense gives us nothing but mere relations, this sense can contain in its representation
only the relation of an object to the subject, and not the inner properties of the object in itself. This
also holds true of inner sense, not only because the representations of the outer senses constitute the
proper material with which we occupy our mind, but because the time in which we set these
representations, which is itself antecedent to the consciousness of them in experience, and which
underlies them as the formal condition of the mode in which we posit them in the

The Lake Tahoe basin is divided by the scenic and beautiful border of California and Nevada. The
gorgeous lake is, ...admired for its great depth and clarity and beautiful alpine surroundings
(tahoe.usgs.gov). The mountain ranges around the perimeter of the basin were formed 24 million
years ago by the rise and fall of the earth s crust due to the movement of faults. The Carson Range
to the east was created by tilt block faulting and resulted in a very steep mountain range
(tahoeadventuresports.com). Another fault created the Sierra Nevada range to the west, but is
more of a gentle change in elevation. As the fault blocks were thrown up, the high peaks of the
mountain ranges were created and as other fault blocks were thrown down, a valley was created.
Some of the peaks of the ranges can reach over 10,000 feet above sea level, making an
exaggerated difference between the lake and the ranges. Movement of other faults in the area
caused the valley to sink thousands of feet below the mountains on the east and west. Volcanic
activity from Mt. Pluto on the north shore resulted in lava flowing and blocking the outlet of the
newly developing valley. About 3 million years ago the ice age created glaciers in the Sierra
Nevada. As they moved and scoured the land, lakes were created behind them as piles of granite
rock were left to block the outflow of water from melted snow and rainfall. Lake Tahoe, Fallen
Leaf Lake, Cascade Lakes, and Donner Lake were formed by this process. Lake Tahoe as we
know it today is the third deepest lake in North America and tenth deepest lake in the world, with
the deepest part measuring 1645 feet. Not only are Tahoe s geologic origins intriguing, but so is the

One option contract delivers into one futures contract, and correspondingly, each option contract
has a notional value equivalent to its underlying future and currency denomination. Examples: EUR

The Blood Sucking Behavior Of Hirudo
The Blood Sucking Behavior of Hirudo Miguel Soto Professor Folkerts Pepperdine University
23 April 2014 Abstract Hirudo are well known for their blood sucking, fluid feeding behavior.
The purpose of this experiment was to get a better understanding of Hirudo s blood feeding
behavior; more specifically, the study was designed to answer the question: how do different
volumes of blood affect Hirudo s thirst? By soaking a sponge with different volumes of cow
blood and measuring the time it took for the Hirudo to attach to the blood soaked sponge, the
experiment yielded results that help explain whether or not there was a connection between the
amount of blood available to Hirudo for feeding and the time it takes Hirudo to attach to the
blood source. The experiment was conducted using six Hirudo, with a total of ten different
volumes of blood per sponge (ranging from 1mL to 10mL) and two trials done for each volume
of blood. Data collected from the experiment was analyzed with the SPSS program and found
that differences in attachment time for the various levels of blood in the sponge were significant
at the .05 level. These results explain that Hirudo do in fact take significantly less time to attach to
a blood source containing a higher volume of blood. This information can be helpful for medical
practitioners who use Hirudo as an alternative form of medicine. In nature, these results can also
help explain Hirudo s feeding behavior and how Hirudo utilizes these behaviors for

For years, brain drain issues have been hot potatoes throughout the world. Brain drain is also
academically known as the human capital flight, refers to the large scale migration of highly
educated, skilled and talented people of developing countries to highly developed countries of the
world (Wikipedia, 2016). The brain drain originated in 1960, when most of human resources like
scientists, engineers, and technologists emigrated from United Kingdom to America (Wikipedia,
2016). This phenomenon has become a global issue, and it is happening all over the world in
particular for developing countries. China, which is the largest population country with a
remarkable economic growth, is also suffering from severe brain drain issues. In recent years,
China is one of countries facing the highest loss of top talented people. An official from mainland
China s Office of Central Talent Work Coordination Group noted that estimated 87 percent of
talented individuals choose to stay overseas, particularly in the fields of science and engineering
(Zhang, 2013). China is also considered as the biggest worldwide contributor of emigrants
(Wikipedia, 2016). In the United States, Chinese immigrants make up the largest group of arrivals
a year and Chinese immigrants are growing in number. The Census Bureau says China replaced
Mexico as the top country of origin for immigrants to the U.S. in 2013 (Lee, 2015).

Taking a Look at Polylactic Acid Polymers
Introduction
Investigations into developing a more sustainable and eco friendly aspect of every day life are
becoming a major priority. Without such investigations or developments in not only the food
packaging sectors, but in many other major industries, this planet along with its inhabitants will
surely succumb to the human lust of consumerism and ultimately the waste that such hunger
produces. The implantation of ecofriendly green packaging options would see a sharp decline in
the amount of waste that is produced each year and give the ability to recycle and to produce
new items from previously used packaging. In this report the team discuss the concept of
biodegradable plastics and their future implementation as green food packaging alternatives to
the current form of non eco friendly plastics that are in existing use. Biodegradability refers to a
composites ability to be degraded by bacteria or other living organisms, plastics such as these can
also be susceptible to water and ultraviolet rays as sources of decomposition with this aspect being
discussed within the chapters of this report. As apart of this report, team members assess the
discovery, life cycle as well as the current or future applications of three different types of bio
plastic. Contained within is discussion on Poly Lactic Acid, Novamont s thermoplastic starch based

Standardized Testing Craze In The Usa Research Paper
The mark of success in America for most people is pursuing higher education once a high school
diploma or General Education Development (GED) is obtained. However, the pursuit of higher
education is not easy to come by since it all comes down to the decisions made by College
Admissions committees at various colleges and universities. Being admitted into a college or
universitydepends on a number factors, namely Grade Point Average (GPA), Rank, and SAT
or ACT
exam scores. Should college entrance exams be weighed so heavily in the college admissions
process? The standardized testing craze in the United States is to blame for the emphasis on college

The U Curve Model Of Adaptation
The analysis examines the process of adapting cultural values among Africans migrants in China.
The results of the analysis points out the process of adaptation followed by the influencing factors
of adaptation and finally the challenges faced in the process of adaptation. By using the U curve
model of adaptation, which explained the four stages of adaptation (honeymoon, crisis, recovery,
and adjustment), the study is based on the assumption that Africans migrants follow the same
process and/or stages of adaptation. The U curve model by Sverrelsyaard (1955) applied to many
different migrant groups; the main idea is that migrants go through fairly predictable phases in
adapting to a new cultural situation. The model consists of four... Show more content on

As America charts its course into the twenty first century, we as a people are faced with a new
array of challenges unique to this great nation. Should we put a man on Mars, or build colonies

cures for cancer, AIDS, and cerebral palsy? Should we preemptively murder the entire cast of
Jersey Shore before their final season, or let our ordained punishment for abusing the term bro run

Alright, now that I ve thoroughly confused any listeners that may have managed to stick with me
up to the Batman metaphor, allow me to put forth a modest proposal of my own that will finally

after watching a report on the drug wars in Mexico, and the thought occurred to me that surely

a containment phase, with the objectives being a peaceful halting and dismantling of Iran s nuclear
program and the pacification of that region for years to come. The launch phase will begin with
the acquisition and manufacturing of a plethora of specialized incendiary bombs. These bombs
will consist of a small explosive charge to break open the casing and ignite the contents: weed.
Lots of weed. On a predetermined date, most likely during the month of Ramadan, as the

Description Of Aquila Constellation
AQUILA Constellation written by Chance Gearhart for AST 102, Fall 2017
Introduction:
Aquila is a constellation, not an asterism. A constellation is a group of stars forming a recognizable
pattern that is traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological figure.
Aquila is located in the northern sky close to the celestial equator. In Latin, Aquila means the eagle.
The purpose of this assignment is for students to learn how to recognize the Aquila constellation in
the night sky and learn about the stars and mythology behind it.
Description of Aquila:
The Aquila constellation is usually described as the eagle. The stars in this constellation form an
arrow in the sky. It looks similar to a bird with two large triangles spreading out on both sides and
a small tail from the back. Aquila is home to Altair, which is the brightest star in its constellation but
also the twelfth brightest star in the night sky. There is a picture of Aquila in the night sky in the
attachment to this paper.
How to locate Aquila:
The Aquila constellation is best seen in the northern summer due to its location along the Milky
Way. To locate Aquila it is best to first locate Altair in the Summer Triangle asterism. The Summer
Triangle is made out of three stars: Vega, Altair, and Deneb. Altair should be relatively easy to find
because it is a first magnitude star. It will be the second brightest star in the Summer Triangle. After
finding Altair, you should look for the

Automation And The Assembly Line Essay
Automation has taken many forms in the past century with new technologies being introduced and
great innovations being made. Automation was first established in 1913 with the assembly line:
The introduction of the assembly line at Ford Motor Company in 1913 is often cited as one of the
first forms of automation (Dias, 2014). While this type of automation is very different from what
we experience today, it is a great example of just how time saving it can be to add automation to a
production process. The introduction of the assembly lineresulted in Ford cutting the time it takes
to produce a car from 12 hours down to only 1.5 hours. Automation has come a long way since
then and takes a very different form today. Automation now refers to machinery that has sensing
and control devices that enable it to operate automatically (Stevenson, 2015, p. 245). It takes many
forms and often surrounds us in our everyday lives in things that we have come to take for granted,
such as ATMs, automatic faucets, and Redbox dvd rental machines. Just as it did with the Ford
Motor Companyover a century ago, the use of automation has helped companies make great strides
in increasing efficiency and reducing the time that is needed to produce goods. There are many
advantages to using automation over human labor. Automation removes the mistakes in production
caused by human error, and therefore eliminates the waste and costs associated with these mistakes.

Feminism Vs Feminism
Femininity is a concept that relies not only upon social constructions, but upon the individualized
choices made by women themselves. Because femininity is influenced by socially defined factors,
feminists seek to break through these boundaries and to counter that the original ideas of femininity
do not accurately define a woman. On the other hand, such women still exist who believe in the
latter: a traditional household where women have the behavioral aspects of being pure and gentle,
while respectively acknowledging her responsibilities as a mother and a wife. Throughout the years,
women have remained in touch with their femininity, dating back to the Woman s Rights
Movement in the 1700s. Femininity is essentially a set of attributes, behaviors, and roles, generally
assigned with girls and women. Feminismis the advocacy of women s rights on the basis of the
equality of the sexes. Women today tend to lead towards wanting empowerment and feeling
liberated by inducing in activities that promote body positivity and freedom of expression. They
may feel that the only way to be validated and represented is to resort to feminism, however, many
others will stick to their representation as a traditional feminine woman because they believe there
is no harm in valuing their femininity. In a typical society, especially in the United States, most
women follow traditional genderroles. These roles set expectations for women that naturally prevail
in society but others attempt to stray

An Essential Part Of Ghana African Culture
Waist pendants were an essential part of the Benin African culture. Benin was located in modern
day Nigeria, and they had a very advanced culture with various resources. The Benin Kingdom
mainly existed between the years 1440 1897 before the invasion from British soldiers, and is the
capitol of the former Edo Kingdom. The city of Benin still exists today. The head of the Benin
kingdom was called an oba, which translates to King, and was highly revered.1 Many brass and
ivory carvings of the oba were made. Along with the oba, another highly revered figure in Benin
culture was Iy oba, or the queen mother. She was the oba s mother and was almost as revered as
the king oba himself. Benin also enjoyed great wealth from its trading of coral beads. The Benin
traded greatly with the Portuguese, who in turn would protect the Benin. The relationship with the
Portuguese is reflected in many pieces of art, including the pendant I choose to analyze. In the
pendant the oba is wearing pendants around his waist, some of which portray Portuguese soldiers.
Now that we know a little bit of background about the Benin kingdom, we can now talk more
specifically about the pendant picture above. These pendants were often made to commemorate an
important event or person. It was a way for the obas, or kings, of Benin to wear a piece of their
cultures history and to remember important figures in their life. The pendant I have chosen tells the
event of the oba Ovonramwen and his priests when they

Transformational Leadership Theory Motivates Individuals
Transformational Leadership Theory Motivates Individuals
The definition of transformational leadership is the style of leadership in which the leader
identifies the needed change, creates a vision to guide the change through inspiration, and executes
the change with the commitment of the members of the group(business dictionary.com). Northouse
(as cited in Hall, Johnson, Wysocki, Kepner, 2002) stated in simplistic terms, transformational
leadership is a process that changes, motivates, and transforms individuals. In essence this form of
leadership transforms the employee s values and behaviors, thereby increasing production. In the

efficiency and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Inspirational motivation is the degree to which a leader articulates a vision that is appealing and
inspiring to followers (Riggio, 2009). The leadership of JLB enterprises could reexamine and
revise its mission statement and introduce a more positive set of future goals at a company wide
meeting. Additionally, JLB Enterprises could create and introduce a production based incentive
program. Some possible elements of this program might include wage bonuses and additional paid
days off.
Individualized influence is the degree to which the leader acts as a role model for their followers
(Riggio, 2009). In an effort to raise performance expectations JLB Enterprise s executive
management could institute both a manager of the month and an employee of the month program.
If the manager of the month program included one on one mentorship time with a senior manager
then it is more likely that the junior manager would emulate their mentors values and behaviors.
Likewise the junior manager could mentor each of his employees so that values and behaviors
might be more consistent throughout the company.
Conclusion
In conclusion, by utilizing all four elements of the transformational leadership theory employee
morale and production would likely increase at JLB Enterprises. Using one or two elements of the
theory will not be as effective as applying all four elements. Furthermore, transformational

Analysis Of The Book Century Of Enslavement Essay
U. S. MONETARY POLICY Where do we come from? How did we get here? These are
questions each one of us eventually asks ourselves and, in so doing, searches for the answers. It

Analysis Of Blood Meridian Or The Evening Redness Of The West
Blood Meridian or the Evening Redness in the West, is a novel written by an author by the name
of Cormac McCarthy. Cormac McCarthy wrote this to show a teenage runaway perspective of
living on your own during the late 1800 s. Throughout this novel, McCarthy shows the reader the
feeling of being in hell and describing a kid s journey through hell. This eye opening novel takes
place in Texas, Mexicoand the American Southwest, Circa. This historical fiction novel is
surprisingly accurate when describing the events that occurred during the situations in the
Southwestern U.S. and Mexico around the 1850 s. McCarthy s Blood Meridian contains a lot of
violent and bloody events that build up to the subjugation of the Apaches, as well as other Native
tribes, and the southwestern expansion of the United Statesof America. All these events are proven
to be an accurate description of the way Indigenous people were treated and how they lived
throughout this time. The story Blood Meridian or the Evening Redness of the West, explains a
couple of the major frontier themes of a man s kinship for violence, religion, and power in the

Alien Abductions Essay
The Psychology Behind Alien Abductions
Alien abductions are no longer things of science fiction novel and movies. In the late 1940s, UFO
and alien sightings became a nation wide phenomenon. With the reported sightings and abductions,
came mass media, but also heavy criticism. If nothing else, these descriptions illustrate that the
AAE is a dynamic, elaborate, and involved experience, rich in contextual detail, with considerable
perceptual, psychological, cognitive, and physical concomitants (p. 255). Over the course of
seventy years, scientists have delved into the mindset of these victims and uncovered the
underlying causes of the reported experiences. Extensive research has been conducted to determine
the psychological aspects of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Donald Spence believes that this may be the case in his article Abduction Tales as Metaphors . The
alien narrative is a substitute for the cultural crisis Robert Thoreau describes as a less empowered,
more alienated, and less predictable citizens (Spence 177). Most abductions have the similar traits
of powerlessness and uncertainty, while powerful beings degrade their bodies and leave them
traumatized (177). When contrasting modern day abductions and mid twentieth century ones,
Spence found that the narratives are also reflective of our times. Early aliens were generally
characterized as a jovial creatures, while modern day extraterrestrials are described as malevolent
creatures. The stark contrast is a subliminal metaphor for the cultural atmosphere of the time. The
early Kennedy and Eisenhower years marker great progress within the American society and
stability. As the political and cultural climates have changed, the tales of little gray men turn into an
ominous fight for freedom.
Deciphering the actual cause of reports alien abductions may never be solved, but many
psychologists have theories. While Spence believes the alien abduction phenomenon is a metaphor
for our society, psychologist Roy Baumeister believes reports are made by masochists. A person
who is sexually gratified by pain, degradation, etc., that is self imposed or imposed by others. Dr.

1940 Tacoma Narrows Bridge
The Tacoma Narrows Bridge was designed for a wind speed of 100 miles per hour and a static
wind pressure of 30 pounds force per square foot but unfortunately the bridge failed at a wind
speed of less than half and a static wind pressure of one sixth (Delatte, 2009). This phenomenon
raises a big question mark on how this is possible. At first, resonance was suspected to be the
main cause of the bridge failure (The New York Times, 1940). After some proper research and
thorough investigations by engineers, they came up with several theories on how did the bridge
collapse. The primary cause of the collapse lies in the general proportions of the bridge and the
type of stiffening girders and floor. The ratio of the width of the bridge to the length of the main
span was so much smaller and the vertical stiffness was so much less than those of previously
constructed bridges that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ammann, Theodore von Karman, and Glenn B. Woodruff to investigate the case of the 1940
Tacoma Bridge collapse (Scott, 2001). Theodore von Karman, a famous aeronautical engineer,
claimed that the motion that was seen on the day when the bridge was brought into pieces was
due to vortices. When an air flow passes a bluff body, it created the periodic shedding of air
vortices, which created the von Karman Vortex Street (Delatte, 2009). As a consequence, the bridge
would move towards the low pressure zone, in a wavering development called vortex induced
vibration. On the off chance that the recurrence of vortex shedding matches the regular recurrence
of the scaffold, then the structure reverberates and motions may get to be distinctly self
maintaining. This wake reinforced the oscillations that were present and caused the centre span to

Virginia Woolf Solid Objects Analysis
Obsession of the Obsessed in Virginia Woolf s Solid Objects Obsession is defined as the
domination of one s thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea or desire. The desire for
nonconformity is a praiseworthy attribute but when taken too far, it can be disadvantageous to
one s goals and ambitions. While it is essential for one to seek transient passions, it is also crucial
to mollify this pursuit, with concern with actual use. The threats of overindulgence are notably
apparent in the case of John, the protagonist of Virginia Woolf s Solid Objects , whose passion for
knickknacks turns into a subtle obsession. Woolf expresses her strong criticism of John by
intensifying his wasted potentiality and his fixation with fleeting dreams while she commends
Charles for his dependability and practicality. The title Solid Objects is a... Show more content on

Charles who is a pragmatist cannot understand why John abandons his prospect. Nevertheless,
Charles remains to bolster John, in spite of realizing that John s inconceivable reappearance upon a
stage. He comprehends the stones for what they really are, nothing more than curios without
underlying meaning. He understands that John s ardent fixation is unusual and unsound, but still
retains belief for John s restoration. Charles s faith crushes amid their last communication when
he understands that the pretty stones have exhausted John s prudence (Woolf 5). In Virginia
Woolf s Solid Objects , John attempts to break away from the facts of existence of life by
looking for aspiration in the accumulation of obscure items. Woolf s accusation of John s actions
is expressed in the devastation of his political prospect and his social life. In spite of Charles s
greatest intentions to act as John s g, John goes on chasing unreal targets in the hope of attaining

Spanking a Child and Child Abuse
Spanking a child is not against the law in most places. However, parents who use it in their homes
are being accused of child abuse. The Chicago Tribune published an article that urged readers to
report child abuse when they become aware of it. In the article Child abuse in plain View the
author describes spankingas a type of abuse that happens behind closed doors ( Child abuse in
plain View ). Like most critics of corporal punishment, the author is trying to link spanking to
abuse. The author`s concern about abuse is a valid one. Abuse should be reported immediately.
However, any attempt to define spanking as abuse is wrong. Spanking a child is not abuse. It is an
effective way of discipline that helps guide the child into becoming a... Show more content on

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that parents do not spank their
children at all. They think that time out and removal of privileges is better than corporal
punishment ( Child Abuse in Plain View ). The AAP should know that balance is the key when
it comes to discipline. Incorrectly using any form of discipline can have negative effects.
Placing a child in time out too much may cause the child to become withdrawn. Constantly
yelling at a child could cause a child to feel angry or depressed. Spanking a child for every
mishap could cause a child to be fearful of making a mistake. The bottom line is that every child is
different. What works for one child may not work for the other. Some children respond well to time
out. For some, a spanking may the best way to correct unwanted behavior. Parents should decide
what is best for the child, at that moment.
Parents should also decide whether the child s behavior is a direct challenge of authority, when
deciding which discipline method to use (Dobson 29). A child who decides to be an artist for
the day and draws on the wall is not being defiant. On the other hand, a child who continues to
draw on the wall after being warned not to, several times is being defiant. A child who does not
clean up his room should not be disciplined the same as a child who curses his parents. Corporal
punishment may be the best solution for deliberate disrespect. It will immediately cause a child to

Surviving The Holocaust
Have you ever wondered how the people survived the Holocaust? Would you know how to protect
yourself if you were in that position? Would you know how to live with people dieing in front of
you?
It all started in January 1933, it ended after thirteen years on May 8 ,1946, after Hitler
committed suicide. In 1935 1939, 121 new laws and ordinances were made, this made the Jews
lives very frustrating and difficult. In 1935 the Nuremberg laws were passed, Jews were no longer
citizens of Germany. These people that were striped of their citizenships were defined Jews, partial
Jews, and Aryan. Children were especially targeted by the Nazi s during the Holocaust because the

In 1946, a pest control company was tried for selling huge quantities of Zyklon B to the
concentration camps. Carbon monoxide was originally used until they got their hands on
Zyklon B. They would stuff the people in and screw the doors shut and then release the carbon
monoxide. After they found Zyklon B then they would drop the pellets into the vent and then
the pellets would release toxic gas. In the gas chambers, the gas would rise from the lower air
and then it would rise to the top. When the gas would start to reach the top, people would climb
on top of people so that that way they could get the non toxic air at the top. Jewish prisoners were
burned in ovens because the Nazis didn t want eyewitnesses. A total of one third of the Jewish
people who were alive at that time were killed in the Holocaust.
After reading all the research about the Holocaust, I thought to myself I can t imagine being in a
concentration camp and having my family there too. I am so happy to be living in America today
because no matter what color skin you are or religion you are we can all get along together. I
really hope this never happens again. Just make sure that every morning you wake up and

Capitalist Society.
Capitalism is a very complex system that is discuss by many authors, scholars and economists.
Robert Heilbroner is a famous American economist who creatively discusses the system of
capitalism in Twenty First Century Capitalism. He reveals the abstruse capitalism system and its
role in society. Heilbroner begins by comparing traditional society with modern capitalist society
and differentiate capital with wealth, which facilitate the reader to understand the basic definition
of capitalism. He then illustrates the most crucial aspect of capitalism, that is, the two realms of
capitalism. According to Heilbroner, the two realms of capitalism are state and economy or
government and business. The relation between these realms is interesting in... Show more content

It is important to understand the meaning and duties of the two realms of capitalism before
learning their relationship. Meaning and difference between state and the economy is very clear.
State of a society is the system that has power to control and enforce laws and regulations on
different institutions of society, whereas, economy of the society deals with labor, capital, natural
resources and the production, distribution of goods and services. Heilbroner reference Adam
Smith to describes duties of the two realms. Adam Smith illustrates the picture of economy in
Society of Perfect Liberty as: Every man, as long as he does not violate the laws of justice, is left
perfectly free to pursue his own interest his own way, and to bring both his industry and capital into
competition with those of any other man or order of men. The sovereign [we can read the state ] is
completely discharged from a duty, in the attempting to perform which he must always be exposed
to innumerable delusions, and for the proper performance of which no human wisdom or
knowledge could ever be sufficient the duty of superintending the industry of private people, and of
directing it towards the employments most suitable to the interest of the society (Heilbroner 53).
According to Smith, the government should deal with their courts, police forces, and jails; and the
necessity to maintain what we would call the national infrastructure, explicitly including education

Anglican Churches
Newly ordained Anglican priests are given a bible to show that all their authority is rooted in
scripture, while priests that are ordained in the Roman Catholic church are given a chalice and a
patten to symbolize their receiving power to consecrate the Last Supper. The Anglican polity
preserves the ordained orders of bishops, presbyters priests, and deacons that go back to apostolic
times. Although there is no official doctrine of having a priest, some Anglicans consider it
essential; some feel it is needed for the proper ordering or fullness of a truly catholic church
(Encyclopedia of Religion).
All Anglican churches are constitutionally governed. Each church has their own canons for
executive and legislative authorities (Encyclopedia of Religion). From the outside, we can see the
ways the Anglican approach to scripture is similar to the Catholic approach and also various
Protestant views, but it follows neither approach neatly. The Bible holds a place of supreme
authority and formation of beliefs in the Anglican community. JesusChrist is one of the sure
revelations of God and holy scripture is one sure record that revelation itself is both inspired and
revealed by God. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Located on every continent, Anglicans speak many languages and come from different races and
cultures. Although the churches are self governed, they are also uniquely unified through their
history, their theology, their worship and their relationship to the ancient See of Canterbury.
Anglicans uphold the Catholic and Apostolic faith. Following the teachings of Jesus Christ, the
Churches are committed to the proclamation of the good news of the Gospel to the whole creation.
In practice, this is based on the revelation contained in Holy Scripture and the Catholic creeds and
is interpreted in light of Christian tradition, scholarship, reason, and

  • 2. Essay On Nick Gatsby In the article The Trouble with Nick: Reading Gatsby Closely, Scott Donaldson argues that Nick Carraway is a snob (98). Donaldson cites Carraway s intolerance toward those who do not know how to act, Carraway s conflicting feelings about Gatsby, and Carraway s obsession with social propriety as manifestations of his snobbery. According to Donaldson, a final revelation of Carraway s aloof attitude is his static personality, a personality that refuses to learn from the experiences of others. However, Scott Donaldson s argument is incorrect; Nick Carraway is not a snob. In F. Scott Fitzgeralds The Great Gatsby, Nick Carraway is an unpretentious man who exemplifies tolerance and respect and learns from his experiences. Nick Carraway exhibits... Donaldson argues that by insisting on having been invited to Gatsby s party and in attempting to thank Gatsby for inviting him to a party, Carraway appears rather ridiculous and is overly formal and pretentious (101). Donaldson explains that Carraway s obsession with social rules reveals his snobbery. Once again, Donaldson is incorrect; Carraway s actions are signs of respect, not of ridiculous pretentiousness. Carraway does not attend one of Gatsby s parties until Gatsby formally invites him. Waiting to attend a party is a sign of respect, not aloofness. By waiting for a formal invitation to attend Gatsby s party, Carraway reveals his respect for Gatsby s privacy and home. Additionally, Carraway spends the majority of his first party attempting to find Gatsby and thank him for his hospitality. Again, Carraway s actions are polite and demonstrate respect for Gatsby. Instead of rudely ignoring his host as so many of his fellow guests do, Carraway attempts to politely thank Gatsby for his hospitality, illustrating his respect for Gatsby. Hence, Nick Carraway exhibits reasonable social decorum and exemplifies respect, not arrogance, in his interactions with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Postcolonial literature often targets on race relations and the outcome of racism along with generally implies white and/or colonial societies. Simon During, in his essay discussing the nature and boundaries of post colonialism, argues for a more inclusive definition, calling it the need, in nations, or groups which have been victims of imperialism to achieve an identity uncontaminated by universalist or Eurocentric concepts or images. Works of literature that are defined as postcolonial often record racismor a history of genocide including slavery, apartheid, and the mass extinction of people, such as the Aborigines in Australia. America s greatness comes from our freedom, our people, and our First Amendment Rights of religion, speech, press and assembly. The severity of this punishment depends upon how harshly our rights are violated. And, although freedom doesn t come with guarantees of a perfect life, we are all free to choose our own destinies. ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. In general, however, they are genial, even charming, when not being harassed by life. • 11. Examples Of Sexism In Television Shows Nowadays, many of the television programs that many of us watch are usually sexist within their dialogue. However, many of us are unaware of this because our attention is being entertained by the show itself; so, we do not take the time to analyze and notice what we are truly watching. Many of us are being sidetracked by the different situations/entertainment found in the show. For instance, some examples used to cover up sexism in a television show are: comedy/humor, drama, sexuality, and violence; however, television shows are not the only ones that use this, movies and advertisements do too. The different examples, pull one s attention into the situation, rather than the dialogue occurring between characters and how they speak to one another. However, there are ways to unravel the sex linked differences between characters in television programs; we can analyze the different forms in which different sex, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and educational level individuals speak to one another. The intent of analyzing a television show is to demonstrate the sex linked differences between a familyand their genderroles and humor and drama are used to hide sexism. Furthermore, the sitcom The Middle will be used in order to prove and evaluate the sexism that still occurs in many television programs. Plato and the Republic Essay The Sun of Knowledge: Platonic Epistemology as Discussed in The Republic The history of philosophy can be viewed as the result of the work of an obscure Athenian whose voluminous works, penetrating questions, novel ideas, and didactic teachings have shaped the flow of nearly all philosophic thought. It has been said that the influence of the ancient Greek philosopher named Plato has laid the foundation for Western culture. Plato was born to an aristocratic family in Athens in 428/427 B.C. As a young man, Plato studied poetry, but later under the tutelage of the famed Socrates, turned to philosophy, who introduced him to the ethical importance of the pursuit of wisdom. It is the purpose of this essay to give an analysis of Plato s theory of the cause of knowledge in the idea of the good through his illustration of the sun and determine how his theory relates to his question of justice. The Forms Plato in the Republic assumes the reader has an understanding of his doctrine of the forms, thus an introduction to his doctrine is imperative before a discussion of his illustration of the sun can begin. Plato was an idealist, meaning that ideas comprise what is ultimately real in this world. This is antithetical to his student Aristotle who held that material was ultimately real. The Renaissance painter Raphael illustrates these two contrasting positions in his famous painting The School of Athens. Raphael depicts Plato with his arm stretched out, pointing to the sky (implying that ideas are real), and Aristotle with his hand spread, pointing down to the earth (implying that material is real). For Plato, ideas, or forms, are intelligible, distinct, eternal patterns of which the objects on earth are mere reflections. Each object on earth has a corresponding form. For example, there is a single form of a chair, and all other chairs (whether three legged or four, metal or wood) are flawed copies of the ultimate, changeless form of the chair. Plato is concerned with the nature of existence. What is the substance of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An Analysis of Solipsism in Kant s Critique of Pure Reason My goal is to examine solipsism and discover how Immanuel Kant s Transcendental Idealism could be subject to a charge of being solipsistic. Following this, I will briefly review the destructive impact this charge would have on certain of Kant s positions. After the case for solipsism is made, I intend to describe a possible line of rebuttal from Kant s perspective that could be made to the charge. Once we concede...that the immediate objects of sense experience are mind dependent (ideas, impressions, sense data, etc.), it is indeed questionable whether we can argue validly to the existence or nature of a mind independent external world. (Flew: 330) Within the Critique of Pure Reason, Kant affirms that our capacity to perceive objects in the external world is dependent upon the subject s imposition of certain conditions of the possibility of experience. Time, space and the categories are among these. Thus, human beings are capable of viewing only the appearance and not things as they are in themselves. Now a thing in itself cannot be known through mere relations; and we may therefore conclude that since outer sense gives us nothing but mere relations, this sense can contain in its representation only the relation of an object to the subject, and not the inner properties of the object in itself. This also holds true of inner sense, not only because the representations of the outer senses constitute the proper material with which we occupy our mind, but because the time in which we set these representations, which is itself antecedent to the consciousness of them in experience, and which underlies them as the formal condition of the mode in which we posit them in the ... The Lake Tahoe basin is divided by the scenic and beautiful border of California and Nevada. The gorgeous lake is, ...admired for its great depth and clarity and beautiful alpine surroundings (tahoe.usgs.gov). The mountain ranges around the perimeter of the basin were formed 24 million years ago by the rise and fall of the earth s crust due to the movement of faults. The Carson Range to the east was created by tilt block faulting and resulted in a very steep mountain range (tahoeadventuresports.com). Another fault created the Sierra Nevada range to the west, but is more of a gentle change in elevation. As the fault blocks were thrown up, the high peaks of the mountain ranges were created and as other fault blocks were thrown down, a valley was created. Some of the peaks of the ranges can reach over 10,000 feet above sea level, making an exaggerated difference between the lake and the ranges. Movement of other faults in the area caused the valley to sink thousands of feet below the mountains on the east and west. Volcanic activity from Mt. Pluto on the north shore resulted in lava flowing and blocking the outlet of the newly developing valley. About 3 million years ago the ice age created glaciers in the Sierra Nevada. As they moved and scoured the land, lakes were created behind them as piles of granite rock were left to block the outflow of water from melted snow and rainfall. Lake Tahoe, Fallen Leaf Lake, Cascade Lakes, and Donner Lake were formed by this process. By soaking a sponge with different volumes of cow blood and measuring the time it took for the Hirudo to attach to the blood soaked sponge, the experiment yielded results that help explain whether or not there was a connection between the amount of blood available to Hirudo for feeding and the time it takes Hirudo to attach to the blood source. The experiment was conducted using six Hirudo, with a total of ten different volumes of blood per sponge (ranging from 1mL to 10mL) and two trials done for each volume of blood. Data collected from the experiment was analyzed with the SPSS program and found that differences in attachment time for the various levels of blood in the sponge were significant at the .05 level. These results explain that Hirudo do in fact take significantly less time to attach to a blood source containing a higher volume of blood. This information can be helpful for medical practitioners who use Hirudo as an alternative form of medicine. In nature, these results can also help explain Hirudo s feeding behavior and how Hirudo utilizes these behaviors for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Aquila is located in the northern sky close to the celestial equator. In Latin, Aquila means the eagle. The purpose of this assignment is for students to learn how to recognize the Aquila constellation in the night sky and learn about the stars and mythology behind it. Description of Aquila: The Aquila constellation is usually described as the eagle. The stars in this constellation form an arrow in the sky. It looks similar to a bird with two large triangles spreading out on both sides and a small tail from the back. Aquila is home to Altair, which is the brightest star in its constellation but also the twelfth brightest star in the night sky. There is a picture of Aquila in the night sky in the attachment to this paper. Automation was first established in 1913 with the assembly line: The introduction of the assembly line at Ford Motor Company in 1913 is often cited as one of the first forms of automation (Dias, 2014). While this type of automation is very different from what we experience today, it is a great example of just how time saving it can be to add automation to a production process. The introduction of the assembly lineresulted in Ford cutting the time it takes to produce a car from 12 hours down to only 1.5 hours. Automation has come a long way since then and takes a very different form today. Automation now refers to machinery that has sensing and control devices that enable it to operate automatically (Stevenson, 2015, p. 245). It takes many forms and often surrounds us in our everyday lives in things that we have come to take for granted, such as ATMs, automatic faucets, and Redbox dvd rental machines. Just as it did with the Ford Motor Companyover a century ago, the use of automation has helped companies make great strides in increasing efficiency and reducing the time that is needed to produce goods. This phenomenon raises a big question mark on how this is possible. At first, resonance was suspected to be the main cause of the bridge failure (The New York Times, 1940). After some proper research and thorough investigations by engineers, they came up with several theories on how did the bridge collapse. The primary cause of the collapse lies in the general proportions of the bridge and the type of stiffening girders and floor. The ratio of the width of the bridge to the length of the main span was so much smaller and the vertical stiffness was so much less than those of previously constructed bridges that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ammann, Theodore von Karman, and Glenn B. Woodruff to investigate the case of the 1940 Tacoma Bridge collapse (Scott, 2001). Theodore von Karman, a famous aeronautical engineer, claimed that the motion that was seen on the day when the bridge was brought into pieces was due to vortices. When an air flow passes a bluff body, it created the periodic shedding of air vortices, which created the von Karman Vortex Street (Delatte, 2009). As a consequence, the bridge would move towards the low pressure zone, in a wavering development called vortex induced vibration. On the off chance that the recurrence of vortex shedding matches the regular recurrence of the scaffold, then the structure reverberates and motions may get to be distinctly self maintaining. This wake reinforced the oscillations that were present and caused the centre span to violently twist until the bridge collapsed (Von KГЎrmГЎn, 1963). For some, a spanking may the best way to correct unwanted behavior. Parents should decide what is best for the child, at that moment. State of a society is the system that has power to control and enforce laws and regulations on different institutions of society, whereas, economy of the society deals with labor, capital, natural resources and the production, distribution of goods and services. Heilbroner reference Adam Smith to describes duties of the two realms.
