Africa is blessed with abundant natural resources but it remains the world’s less developed region where more than 400 million people live in extreme poverty, debilitating health challenges, wars, etc. The continent is grossly underdeveloped and its resources depleted due to abuse, mismanagement, abandonment and vitiation of Africa’s communalistic ethics by practises such as consumerism, greed and individualism, etc. Inability to develop home-grown technology and expertise in the exploration, exploitation and utilization of resources has contributed to serious challenge of resource governance due to over dependence and reliance on technology transfer and foreign extractive industries which has helped plunder and decimate our resources.
Despite being blessed and surrounded by water, more than 300 million people in Sub Sahara Africa are without access to reliable drinking water sources with 14 countries experiencing water stress. Between 1898 and 2015, 85 water-related conflicts have been recorded with the recent being that of Cameroon and Nigeria over use of the Lake Chad, Nduka (2006). The seas though an important resource in Africa having been central to global commerce and European penetration of Africa and harbours hydro-carbon resources has become huge migration passage for trafficked persons, piracy and illicit trade in drugs, narcotics, weapons. Due to near-government absence, the seas have become sites for dumping of toxic wastes, illegal commercial fishing and depletion of the marine stock.

Hello,
i have two assighment that should to answer perfectly
1- please rephrase all these answers by the same meaning
1. Definitely, the human and physical geography of the Middle and South America region would have been different if the European colonists would have visited with a different frame of mind. Regarding the human geography, there would be more indigenous people in this region. Due to the conquest minded Europeans, many of the indigenous populations were wiped out including those in Costa Rica and Peru. Further, the human geography would be different because there would be equality among the indigenous and foreign people. The entry of Europeans led to the creation of class as the Europeans took up the larger part of the wealth living the indigenous people to live in poverty. Lastly, the physical geography would be different in terms of less environmental degradation brought about by Europeans.
2. The diverse landforms in Middle and South America have been shaped by tectonic processes. For instance, the Central Andes comprises of an expansive collection of mountain ranges and plateaus making up for up to seventy percent of the world’s tropical glaziers. The region also boasts of the pampas, found in Argentina and Uruguay, which is an expansive grasslands comprised of fertile soils, which once supported the agricultural economy of the region. Further, the regions also has the largest tropical forests on the universe called the Amazon forest. The regions also has the large Atacama desert; and the Brazilian and Guiana Highlands.
3. The first impressive location is Costa Rica. This is because the country has made great strides in developing human capital in terms of developing schools, healthcare, infrastructure and other social services. Further, the country has also been on the forefront of environmental conservation by encouraging ecotourism and creating wetland parks. On the issue of equality, the impressive location was Ecuador. The electorate wanted to lessen inequalities in Ecuador, so they elected Rafael Correa, a president who imposed high taxes for the rich and encouraged a substantial government expenditure directed at lessening social problems.
4. The oil resources in Venezuela could have benefited the entire nation were it not for colonization. Up to the 1990s, sixty-three percent of the wealth of the nation was held by people of the European decent leaving the indigenous people in poverty, with low income and inadequate education, transportation and healthcare infrastructures. This has been reflected in the modern Venezuela, as only a few people are wealthy while the rest live in shantytowns in abject poverty with lack of resources such as clean drinking water, education, transport and sanitation. Another notable colonization effects was Bolivia whose European colonizers made fortunes at the expense of the indigenous Mestizos who lived in poverty and worked on large haciendas. You did a nice job researching your topic and have some very interesting information. However, your paper still has more than 30% of the total text in direct quotations. The general rule of thumb is that no more than 10% of the total text should be in quotes. The rest of the material should be paraphrased from your original source. Reserve the use of quotations for material that is very difficult to paraphrase. Please remove the quotations and paraphrase the material. Once you have finished editing the paper, please re-submit it and I will grade. This was the response I received from my teacher after I submitted my paper on Canada...

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

43. Languages:
Christopher Columbus – discovered ‘New World’ 1492
Spain explored, conquered and settled parts of
Central and South America over next 200 years
Portugal claimed Brazil
Both Spanish and Portuguese conquered natives and
tried to use them as slaves before importing Africans
to work in mines and in plantations
Central and South American countries fought for
independence from Portugal and Spain like
Americans did against Great Britain.
44. Spain loses Mexico – early 1800s
Spain loses last colony in ‘New World’ (Puerto Rico)
– 1898
Latin America refers to those countries whose
inhabitants speak mostly languages based on Latin:
Spanish and Portuguese.
US is not because English is Germanic.
French, English, Dutch and hundreds of native
languages are also spoken in Central and South
America and the Caribbean.
45. Literacy Rate and Standard of Living
A literate person is one who can read and write.
Literacy is a major factor in whether a person is able
to get a job and be successful in the workplace.
The countries of Latin America have improved the
literacy rate of their people. On average, 89 percent
of the people are literate. That leaves an illiteracy
rate of 11 percent.
The standard of living (the economic level achieved
by a person, family, or country) is often lower in
countries where the illiteracy rate is high.
46. Some cultures believed it more important for boys to
have an education than girls. This is shown in the fact
that 12 percent of girls are illiterate while only 9 percent
of boys are illiterate. The goal of most governments is
100 percent.
Many communities cannot afford to pay for teachers
and schools. Without the basic skills, workers are stuck
in low paying jobs.
The standard of living remains low for these families
because their education level remains low. If you can’t
read, you can’t learn. If you can learn you can improve
your skills and get a better job that pays a better salary.
Low literacy rate = low standard of living
