• Surface Area
THE SURFACE AREA IS MORE THAN 2 TIMES
THE TRADITIONAL EARTHING. Also this
electrode is round in shape so electricity
discharges equally from total surface area.
Surface area is less and reduces as the yrs. goes on.
Electricity discharges from the edges of the plate. So
the plate gets damage at the edges.
• Short circuit, Signal grounding
capacity
The short circuit high current and low signal,
leakage current grounding capacity is
directly proportional to the surface area.

The short circuit
current discharges faster in ground.
The short circuit capacity is less because of less
surface area. When short circuit current flows, loose
contact action happens and earthing gets damaged
after this incident.
• Connection
We can connect the earthing flat to
connection terminal provided at the top of
the electrode which is above of ground level,
so we can easily inspect or connect new.
Proper connection terminal is not provided in this
earthing so we have to make one more joint ti
copper tape which is connected to plate or GI pipe in
ground.
• Chances of Corrosion
Corrosion speed of electrode is very less. So
life is very high up to 40 years.
Because of salt and water corrosion of GI and
oxidation of copper flat starts immediately and the
flat is discontinued and the Earthing is practically a
failure and of no use.
• Compatible in soil
It is compatible in any type of soil and rocky
area.
This does not match in all types of soil like rocky and
dry area, so we don't get good ohmic value.
• Life of earthing
At list it gives better up to 30 to 40 years. The Life of traditional earthing or precisely
galvanised flats and Pipes is maximum 3 to 4 yrs after

the required is much more than CI earthing.

cost + Electricity cost for storage & pumping is much
more.
• Feedback form earthing
This is surrounded by highly conductive the
electrode is very high and the current
density across the electrode is very low
which results in very high fault current which
is sufficient to trip the fault relay
immediately.
Distribution of short circuit current is less in terms of
changes dissipation at the pit which results low fault
current in comparison to requirement for tripping
circuit of fault protection relay, so the tripping circuit
doesn't trip and accident can happen.
