The survey of parents at Cockle Bay School regarding the gifted and talented provision found that 70.2% of parents responded. Most parents were unaware of key aspects of the gifted and talented program such as their child being on the registry, the identification process, and opportunities offered. While cluster grouping and differentiated learning are used, over half of parents did not understand these terms.
