Narrative
Think in a boardgame…
 Which components does it use? Tokens, dices, cards, board,
pencil and paper, hourglass
 What is its purpose (mechanics)? add points, reach
achievements, overcome levels, dialogue, recollect items,
achieve missions,
 What is its final purpose (dynamics) collaborate, compete,
coordinate, socialize, debate, argue, reflect
Plan a gamification strategy…
 Goal: what do you pretend to achieve?
 Story/context: narration (storytelling) to introduce the
game.
 Mechanics: select the appropriate mechanics for your
case
 Components: choose the components and their
meaning/role in the activity
 Explanation: What is the purpose of the activities? What
students have to do to pass it? Think about a board game
