Positive News You Can use
2012
From the Editor
Hello everyone and a happy new year to all of you! We at the Loving Healing Press are just out of another busy quarter,
stepping into the year 2012 with the publication of the latest issue of our quarterly journal Recovering the Self, Vol. 4 No. 1,
themed “abuse-recovery”. The issue along with the previous one, focused on “parenting”, has been received very-well with
appreciation from its writers and others, a cordial to warm our hearts in the otherwise icy weather. The themes for the coming
issues have been announced on our website. For our website, we are inviting in brief your responses to the question of what
your new year resolutions are and how do you mean to make this year a time you can look back on with pride and satisfaction.
And if you have a healing/inspirational blog post to submit, we would love to see it. Email all feedback/submissions
toeditor@recoveringself.com.
Stay warm and keep up the spirit of healing above everything!

Golden Guide: Emotional Wellness--5 Tips for Living Healing and Happy
By Maureen Minnehan Jones
1. Be who you truly are. When you live as the person you truly are, you remove all masks
and lets spontaneity in. Connecting with others in honest, vulnerable ways leads to deeper
intimacy in relationships and greater pleasure in life.
2. Learn to turn anger into happiness. Whenever you feel anger, turn it into happiness
by feeling it, then releasing it out of the body every time it comes up. Step back and ask,
“What do I need to feel happy now?” Then fulfill that need on the spot.
3. Tap into your DNA Power every day. Refuse to feel like a powerless victim. Tap into
your DNA (Dynamic Natural Authentic) Power and ask, “How do I solve this problem?”
Believe that every problem has a solution, even if professional help is needed.
4. Stay in balance to stay well. Your heart sends oxygenated blood throughout your body Maureen Minnehan Jones
(giving) and brings back blood to be cleaned and re-oxygenated (receiving)—a vital cycle
that keeps your body in balance. Similarly, the cycle of self-love keeps your emotions in
balance. Give out love and allow yourself to receive it back.
5. Above all, love yourself! Love is the universal energy that sustains life; self-love is the
energy that sustains your body. Your heart thrives on and wants your love! Make sure your
heart receives lots of sustaining love from you.
About the Author: Maureen Minnehan Jones is the author of Wisdom to Wellness: Healing Your Emotional Sufferings so
the Physical Healing Can Follow. This book offers specific insights and strategies for dealing with specific illnesses from a
