1) The document presents a real-time static hand gesture recognition system for the Devanagari number system using two feature extraction techniques: Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Edge Oriented Histogram (EOH).

This document presents a method for recognizing gestures using ultrasound sensors and infrared array sensors. Two ultrasound sensor pairs are used to capture hand motion in vertical and horizontal directions. An infrared Grid-Eye sensor is used to trigger the ultrasound sensors when a hand gesture is detected. The sensors capture data on the distance and movement of the hand. This data is preprocessed and extracted into features representing the average and count of upward and downward motions. An artificial neural network with two hidden layers is trained on these features to classify gestures for two letters, achieving an accuracy of 83%. The proposed method aims to provide a contactless gesture recognition system without some of the disadvantages of vision-based techniques.

This project presents system based on inertial sensors and gesture recognition algorithm for SMS or calling for old age people. Users hold the device to make hand gestures with their preferred handheld style. Hand motions generate inertial signals, which are wirelessly transmitted to a computer for recognition. Here DTW recognition algorithm is used for recognition of hand gestures. Zigbee is used at the transmission section of inertial device to transmit sensor values and at the receiver section of PC to receive values. Recognized gesture is send to the microcontroller for further processing which gives AT commands to GSM to selects the SMS or calling option to the person. GSM model is used for the SMS or calling. An accelerometer-based gestures recognition systems that uses only a single 3-axis accelerometer. 3-axis accelerometer recognizes gestures, where gestures here are hand movements. DTW algorithm is used in this project for recognition. The proposed DTW-based recognition algorithm includes the procedures of inertial signal acquisition, motion detection, template selection, and recognition. Here „a‟, „b‟, „c‟, „d‟, „e‟, „f‟, „g‟, „h‟, „o‟, „v‟ letters are recognized in this system . This system can be used for the emergency calling or emergency SMS by the old age people or blind people from the home.
GESTURE BASED WIRELESS SHADOW ROBOT !
This document describes a project to develop a gesture-controlled shadow robot. The robot will use a Kinect sensor to track human gestures and mimic the movements. The goals are to develop code to read sensor data, design a robot frame, implement control actuators and drives, use Kinect data for upper body movement tracking, and create basic forward walking. The system will use the Kinect SDK, calculate joint angles from skeleton data, and generate servo signals with an Arduino. Future work may include dynamic walking, finger tracking, and developing an intelligent humanoid.

This paper describes a digital pen based on IMU sensor for gesture and handwritten digit gesture
trajectory recognition applications. This project allows human and Pc interaction. Handwriting
Recognition is mainly used for applications in the field of security and authentication. By using embedded
pen the user can make hand gesture or write a digit and also an alphabetical character. The embedded pen
contains an inertial sensor, microcontroller and a module having Zigbee wireless transmitter for creating
handwriting and trajectories using gestures. The propound trajectory recognition algorithm constitute the
sensing signal attainment, pre-processing techniques, feature origination, feature extraction, classification
technique. The user hand motion is measured using the sensor and the sensing information is wirelessly
imparted to PC for recognition. In this process initially excerpt the time domain and frequency domain
features from pre-processed signal, later it performs linear discriminant analysis in order to represent
features with reduced dimension. The dimensionally reduced features are processed with two classifiers –
State Vector Machine (SVM) and k-Nearest Neighbour (kNN). Through this algorithm with SVM classifier
provides recognition rate is 98.5% and with kNN classifier recognition rate is 95.5% .
IRJET - A Smart Assistant for Aiding Dumb People
This document presents a proposed smart assistant system to help mute or vocally impaired people communicate with others using hand gestures. The system uses MEMS sensors in a glove to detect hand gestures, which are matched to pre-stored commands using an Arduino microcontroller. The relevant text is displayed on an LCD screen and audio is played back of the message in the local language as determined by a GPS module. An emergency notification can also be sent via GSM to a guardian if an emergency gesture is detected. The system is intended to help the mute community communicate more easily with others and ensure their safety in emergencies.

RECOGNIZATION which includes Hand Segmentation, Hand
Tracking and Edge Traversal Algorithm. We have designed a
system which is limited to the hardware parts such as computer
and webcam. The system consists of four modules: Hand
Tracking and Segmentation, Feature Extraction, Neural
Training, and Testing. The objective of this system to explore the
utility of a neural network-based approach to the recognition of
the hand gestures that create a system that will easily identify the
gesture and use them for device control and convey information
instead of normal inputs devices such as mouse and keyboard.

Gestures Based Sign Interpretation System using Hand Glove

A robot is a machine that can automatically do a task or a series of tasks based on its programming and environment. They are artificially built machines or devices that can perform activities with utmost accuracy and precision minimizing time constraints. The conventional mouse and keyboard can be replaced by human hand to interact with the computer. Addition of augmented reality to do so will make it more attractive. The same concept of using hand as interaction device and adding augmented reality can be used for retrieval of information from the internet. This will make our daily tasks relating computer easier and fun increasing productivity.

Microfluidic Flow Control using Magnetohydrodynamics
Fluid manipulation in microfluidic devices is one of the main areas of research interest for the fabrication of Lab-On-a-Chip devices. From the many methods that have been applied to this problem, one of the most promising is employing Magnetohydrodynamic principles which allow for elegant and versatile designs. A microchip is designed for fluid flow control that uses MHD for pumping the fluid through a microchannel. Simulation of the design is performed in COMSOL and the velocity profile of the fluid is obtained. The microchip is fabricated, and experiments are performed by measuring the flow rate of a conducting fluid as it is pumped by the Lorentz force. The experimental results are then compared with the simulation results to compare the performance of the device to theoretical computations.

EMI2lets is a middleware platform that aims to facilitate the development of context-aware mobile applications for ambient intelligence spaces. Day by day lots of efforts are been taken towards
developing an intelligent and natural interface between computer
system and users. And looking at the technologies now a day’s it
has become possible by means of variety of media information like
visualization, audio, paint etc. Gesture has become important part
of human communication to convey the information. Thus In this
paper we proposed a method for HAND GESTURE
RECOGNIZATION which includes Hand Segmentation, Hand
Tracking and Edge Traversal Algorithm. We have designed a
system which is limited to the hardware parts such as computer
and webcam. The system consists of four modules: Hand
Tracking and Segmentation, Feature Extraction, Neural
Training, and Testing. The objective of this system to explore the
utility of a neural network-based approach to the recognition of
the hand gestures that create a system that will easily identify the
gesture and use them for device control and convey information
instead of normal inputs devices such as mouse and keyboard.

Gestures Based Sign Interpretation System using Hand Glove

Microfluidic Flow Control using Magnetohydrodynamics
Fluid manipulation in microfluidic devices is one of the main areas of research interest for the fabrication of Lab-On-a-Chip devices. From the many methods that have been applied to this problem, one of the most promising is employing Magnetohydrodynamic principles which allow for elegant and versatile designs. A microchip is designed for fluid flow control that uses MHD for pumping the fluid through a microchannel. Simulation of the design is performed in COMSOL and the velocity profile of the fluid is obtained. The microchip is fabricated, and experiments are performed by measuring the flow rate of a conducting fluid as it is pumped by the Lorentz force. The experimental results are then compared with the simulation results to compare the performance of the device to theoretical computations.

reach in time. Our project will provide an optimum solution to this draw back. A piezo electric
sensor can be used as a crash or rollover detector of the vehicle during and after a crash. With
signals from a piezo electric sensor, a severe accident can be recognized. According to this
project when a vehicle meets with an accident immediately piezo electric sensor will detect the
signal or if a car rolls over. Then with the help of GSM module and GPS module, the location
will be sent to the emergency contact. Then after conforming the location necessary action will
be taken. If the person meets with a small accident or if there is no serious threat to anyone’s
life, then the alert message can be terminated by the driver by a switch provided in order to
avoid wasting the valuable time of the medical rescue team.

Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) helps to overcome various difficulties in future technology wireless communications. NOMA, when utilized with millimeter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, channel estimation becomes extremely difficult. For reaping the benefits of the NOMA and mm-Wave combination, effective channel estimation is required. In this paper, we propose an enhanced particle swarm optimization based long short-term memory estimator network (PSOLSTMEstNet), which is a neural network model that can be employed to forecast the bandwidth required in the mm-Wave MIMO network. The prime advantage of the LSTM is that it has the capability of dynamically adapting to the functioning pattern of fluctuating channel state. The LSTM stage with adaptive coding and modulation enhances the BER.PSO algorithm is employed to optimize input weights of LSTM network. The modified algorithm splits the power by channel condition of every single user. Participants will be first sorted into distinct groups depending upon respective channel conditions, using a hybrid beamforming approach. The network characteristics are fine-estimated using PSO-LSTMEstNet after a rough approximation of channels parameters derived from the received data.
