A Virtual Makeup Applicator embedded into an E-
commerce website to try makeup products before
purchasing.

Objectives
➢ Build a Virtual Makeup Trier to help users apply makeup, lenses and
other accessories virtually
➢ To avoid the dangers of reapplying products that may cause harm
➢ To make a safe replacement of trying on colored eye contacts
➢ Promote online purchase of makeup products

Motivation
➢ The Beauty Industry is growing immensely.
➢ Many makeup companies have not been able to come up with a
solution to let their customers try on correctly all their product shades
before being completely satisfied, right from the comfort of their
homes.
➢ A strong need is seen for such solutions that can adapt to users’
actual needs.
➢ The drastic improvements and research in Augmented Reality has
proven to be a motivation in this case.

➢ Color may not be exact due to difference of digital screen and actual
product color

Motivation ➢ The Beauty Industry is growing immensely. ➢ Many makeup companies have not been able to come up with a solution to let their customers try on correctly all their product shades before being completely satisfied, right from the comfort of their homes. ➢ A strong need is seen for such solutions that can adapt to users’ actual needs. ➢ The drastic improvements and research in Augmented Reality has proven to be a motivation in this case. 18 December 2017 4

Conclusion ➢ Best solution for applying makeup virtually and promoting online purchase of products. ➢ Real time facial feature tracking for videos and photos. ➢ Web Augmented Reality based system that enables personalized product previews thereby increasing time-spent on website, user engagement, and ultimately, user retention. 18 December 2017 24
