2. What are our three topics?
• The three chosen topics are gaming, mobile phones and
alcohol. We will look into to these to find the effects that
they have on users and if they are a good or bad thing.
3. Gaming strengths
Strengths
• We could talk about how gaming has become an obsessions and how it is
effecting people from an early age
• How the younger generation play violent games and if this makes them
more likely to be more deviant ?
• As teenagers we are part of the gaming generation, much as our free time is
spent on games console and we can see if this effects our life due to a lack
of other work.
4. Gaming weaknesses
• Weaknesses
• Hard to find an expert for gaming as it is only a hobby
• Getting the equipment to visually show the consoles would
prove to be an issue.
5. Alcohol Strengths
• There is a huge amount of underage drinkers in society so to
get footage of them would be no issue
• We can easily get expert interviews as there are professionals
in the topic area.
6. Alcohol Weaknesses
• Cannot be brought into college
• Legal issues as we cannot buy it for images
• We have to be careful as for some it may be a personal topic,
therefore going through how bad it is may cause offense
7. Mobile Phones Strengths
• The majority of the population at college own or have
knowledge on mobile phones, therefore there are many
people that we can potentially interview
• Expert interviews can be done easily due to the knowledge of
media teachers
• AS teenagers our group has personal experience on the
situation of phones, therefore we can look to find facts that
back up our already wide range of knowledge on the subject
8. Mobile Phone Weaknesses
• However we may potentially be bias as the subject is important to us, the
overall opinions may be one sided
• Some people may find that they don’t want to share their views in an
interview
9. Chosen topic
• Overall we have chosen to do our documentary on mobile
phones
• This is because all group members have a mobile phone and
wide knowledge on the subject
• Will be easy to get views as our peers will be willing to share
their personal views.
