Projects executed - SI
ING Vysya Bank..., Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Frontier has implemented an All in one Data Storage Solution with Disk Storage IBM DS8000, Tape
storage IBM TS3200 and Backup services IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
The solution: Allows Bank to store and backup their Banking transactions from
• 12 Critical Servers hosting various Operating System (IBM AIX, REDHAT Linux, SUN Solaris &
Microsoft Windows),
• Applications and Database (Oracle, DB2 and SQL) in there SAN environment.
The benefits: Increase productivity with centralized file storage and management by reducing
administrative workload and ensuring business continuity and also the installation and
configuration of Solaris 10 on two numbers of Sun Fire T 2000, Sun Fire T 1000 and Sun Fire V
215 servers.
Part of the customer deliverables included hardening the Solaris Operating System on all the
servers and providing a secure configuration of the systems.
In summary, the hardening process included applying latest patches, minimizing network and boot
services, performing Solaris Operating System kernel tuning, system logging and documenting
scripts needed to maintain the secure environment.

Projects executed - SI
IBS..., Tokyo, Japan.
This particular projects was an off shore project based out at IBS - Tokyo, Japan.
The whole project execution and the documentation was completed within 8 days
• Installation and configuration of Sun Fire X 4200 servers - six in number with Solaris 10,
Sun Storagetek 6140 an SL 24 tape library.
• Responsible for the installation and configuration of Veritas NetBackup on Solaris to
perform backup of clients running Solaris Operating System.
• The servers, storage and tape library were configured to run in production environment to
host Oracle RAC database.

 Customer’s solutions, offers the BI industry’s most advanced and complete platform for
performance management, planning, reporting, query and analysis, and Enterprise Information
Management (EIM).
Challenge
 Being a solutions company with a rapidly growing business, the company had witnessed a
critical need to better manage its growing technology infrastructure.
 To ensure that its systems faced no troubles, the firm required full time maintenance and
monitoring of its critical networking systems.
 To better control its end-user services, the company wanted its helpdesk operations to be
centrally handled from its headquarters in Bangalore.
 Another need for the organization was to seek improved IT Facilities Management for Database
Administration, Server Management, Mail Management, and Back up and Storage that would

The scope of the services includes management of desktops, servers and network and security
devices besides, links (leased lines and ISDN lines) connecting their global offices
 The Frontier team of professionals monitors and manages all systems, databases and assets of
the company on 12hour support window
