This document provides style guidelines for developing a unified modeling language (UML) model and wireframes for a mobility systems project called MobiGuider. It discusses using UML diagrams like use case diagrams, class diagrams, and state diagrams to model application structure and behavior. State diagrams are used to represent system behavior, with states mapping to screens, substates to forms and lists, and transitions to buttons. The modeled is designed to directly translate to wireframes, with states as screens and transitions as buttons. The document provides examples and discusses prototyping the modeled and wireframes.

“Designing for the behavior of a sustainable future”
We live in the Planet of Plastic Sea, and we don't usually think this to be our fault, but what if that coffee cup we disposed for recycle is actually part of a Plastic Island at this very moment?
We are consumers and we are designers. That counts as some of the greatest powers someone can have these days. This talk comes to enlighten us on our responsibility as gate keepers, with demonstrations of simple acts we can take as consumers and designers to lead the behavior of a sustainable future.
Natalia has been working with design and technology for more than 8 years now, and she is passionate about it. She believes it can change the world for the best. She loves helping teams understand real life problems from real people, and the many iterations that follow until a suitable solution is found. She enjoys it even more when dealing with society's critical problems.

In general, the app bar is a highly used component in many applications. An app bar can be effectively helpful to house the search field, simply the page title or buttons to navigate around pages. It is a commonly used component, and Flutter app development services offer the dedicated widget for the functionality known as AppBar.
Building accessible web components without tearsRuss Weakley
Slides from #Respond16, Sydney Melbourne 2016
So, you've built an amazing new web application. It uses all the latest frameworks and libraries. It's beautiful to behold.
But is it accessible? Many web applications these days are built on top of pre-existing frameworks or code bases and there is little thought to how well these components will work for different assistive devices.
This talk will look at a range of common application components and how they can be made accessible - quickly and easily - for all users. We'll look at how to notify users when changing the DOM after page load. We will also look in-depth at accessible form validation, modal windows, drop-down menus, in-page tabs and other commonly used we components. You will leave this talk ready and eager to enhance your application, and in the process, make it available to entirely new audiences.

"The Future of Banking"
Banking and the way people handle their finances are evolving rapidly but banks aren't necessarily following. Fintechs and Big Tech companies like Google, Facebook and Apple are offering more and more services that were exclusively done by banks even less than 10 years ago. New laws like GDPR and Mifid2 are making life even harder for banks, and PSD2 forces banks to open up their data to 3rd parties.

navigation
window types
The mobiguider navigation pattern organize the content
so your users can navigate easily, intuitively and focus
on the content.
Every window, spilt- or edge-panel can be the starting
point to open an other window, spilt- or edge-panel.
Every window, spilt- or edge-panel can add content to
the current content
[a][b] window
A window represents a functional part of the app. Each
window can call or create other windows. Windows are
logical containers of content and related functionalities.
A window can contain 0, 1 or more split and/or edge-
panels.
[c] edge-panel
An edge-panel is part of a window and extends the
functionality of that window. Typical use is for lookups,
search-result-details, parent-child relations, etc. An
edge-panel is by default modal.
recommendation: try to restrict overlapping edge-
panels (edge-panels opening edge-panels)
[d] split-panel
Use split-panel when related content needs to be
shown but not fully depending and the content can live
by itself.
recommendation: try to avoid having more than 3 split-
panels in a window
[e] flip-view
The flip-view control lets people flip through a collection
of items, one at a time. It offers people a way to look at
each individual item while navigating through the
collection.

landing page
the landing page is the starting point of
mobiguider.
the landing page shows the available modules to the user.
Every module is organized as a pivot.
[a] modules
A module is a major part of the mobiguider suite. SSM
(service support manager), POI (Point Of Interest) are
modules. Every module groups functionalities into tiles.
[b] tiles
Tiles appear on the landing page and replace the application
shortcuts that would have appeared in a menu. People tap a
tile to launch a module functionality, search, create, … Every
tile opens a page.
[c] tile feedback
a tile can contain user feedback, so the landing page can act
as a dashboard
[d] tile color
The color of a tile has in general no semantic meaning
(except red). Use color to group similar functions or
functionalities that have a logical connection.
important: the color of the tile must correspond with the color
of the page header [e]
[f] red
use red only for high level warnings, for business critical
warnings, things that have to be done by the user before
anything else
[g] screen size
A pivot on the landing page has no vertical scrollbar, so the
max height of the tiles may not exceed 430px. This results in
a min screen size of 675px wide by 480px height.

pivot
Each pivot is a kind of a tab, and the tabs are listed
across the top.
Pivot pages are focused and efficient. Their primary
focus is task-based action such as filtering, sorting, and
showing related items. They’re used to promote and
show relevant content. Try to limit the number of pivot
pages to six or fewer.
a pivot is the combination of
[a] pivot title
[b] pivot content
[c] pivot commands
[d] navigation
Clicking on either the pivot title, the pivot content or the
scrollbar [c] will focus the pivot. The active pivot will
move to the left side and show it’s pivot buttons if
buttons are present.

You can switch from pivot to pivot by using the ALT-key

Errors are indicated by the exclamation mark.

The first step is to identify all the app commands and
organize them by functionality.
[a] command sets
Group commands into command sets. The app bar displays
command sets as a unit, with a [b] divider between the sets.
[c] menus
Consider whether your command sets would work better in a
command menu. Menus let you present more options in less
space and include interactive controls. A menu is a fly out
and follows the rules for fly outs.
placement rules
There are a few ways to position commands within the app
bar, and variations may occur depending upon certain
circumstances. Below are command placement rules that
should be followed whenever possible.
predictability
To the extent possible, use consistent interaction and
command placement across all views of your app.
ergonomics
Consider how the placement of specific commands can
improve the speed or ease with which a command can be
acted upon.

looking complicated. Choose icons that are easy to

Organize commands
The first step is to identify all the app commands and organize them by functionality. Ask these questions:
What commands should appear throughout the page? The commands that answer this question are page commands [a]
What commands should show only on certain pivots? The commands that answer this question are pivot commands [b]
Create command sets
Group commands into command sets. The app bar displays command sets as a unit, with a divider [c] between the sets. What commands are functionally related? What commands toggle different view types? What commands should appear when a selection is made?
Create menus
Consider whether your command sets would work better in a command menu. Is the app bar too crowded or are there too many commands to fit? Is there a set that would benefit from longer labels or interactive controls? Menus let you present more options in less space and include interactive controls. In this example, the Sort menu pops up a simple list that makes choosing options easy. The Filter menu pops up a set of controls that lets users filter items by more complex criteria.
