1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
As this was one of our first films, we experienced new technologies such as
Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Garage Band and Photoshop. We learnt the
conventions of Final Cut Pro, such as the editing, the rendering of our
film, also the exporting and importing of the music and our production
logoand fitting the music we had chosen with the film itself. We had to use
Photoshop to edit pictures we got off the internet for our production
logo, to edit it to make it our own original logo, and adding words to make
it look professional. We started off using Live Type but found that the fonts
were unprofessional and amateur and also they didn’t look relatable to our
genre, and we wanted our fonts to look as realistic as possible.We used
After Effects instead for our final titles as we found the fonts were more
fitting to our genre because of the simplicity of the lettering and also from
our research on other thrillers we found that the font type we used was
common to others, as many other thrillers also used simple fonts and
neutral colors, we used them as we liked how they juxtaposed the hectic
and mysterious storyline we had created.

2. This is a template of After Effects, which we
used for our final fonts. We had to learn how
arrange the fonts on the screen and decide
what colors and sizes looked best for our
particular genre, we also learnt the different
effects we could use and how we would have
to fit them in Final Cut Pro , such as the fonts
fading in.
