Question number 6
1.
2. Blogger
Throughout our project we used our blog as a
home base. It is where we did all our main
body of research for our genre so we could
make it more interesting. In additional we
used our blog as a kind of mind map; where
we researched into what location, characters
and themes were conventional for a
psychological thriller. Overall we found
blogger a very useful tool to hold multi
platforms of media.
3.
4. Adobe Premier Pro
Adobe premier was the key to completing
our psychological thriller. It was where cut
together and edited our footage, combined
it with sound and made a montage. I used
many different techniques on Adobe
Premier Pro. For example, playing different
effects such as fade in, corrected volume of
music and the basic style of editing
5. Adobe Premier Pro- lens
flare
On adobe premier we used the effect of lens
flare to make our film more interesting. This
effect adds more mystery and enigma to our
film, making it not just the ‘norm’. We paired
this effect with our main character swinging,
so as she comes closer to the camera the
lens flare gets brighter and as she moves
away it becomes lighter.
6. An example of Lens Flare
We were unable to get our own example of lens
flare from our film so here is an example from
Google.
7. Free Sound.org
We used this website to download free music to
really bring our film together. The key advantage to
this site is that none of the music has any copy right
around it, this making it simple and easy for us to
download as you. Music arguably one of the most
important components of a film and can change a
whole atmosphere and mood of the film. We spent
a long time on this website choosing different
sound for our film such as a rope swinging and
‘scary’ music
8. Live Type
On a software called live type we made our
production logo. Here we went through
different font sizes and effects till we found
the most appropriate one.
9. Our camera
Our camera is arguably the most important piece
to are film. At first we were unsure how to you
use it, as we had little experience with using film
cameras prior to this project. However, due to
camera complications and not being able to use
it properly we had to re shoot. With our first
shooting of our film we used a lot of zoom which
made it look un professional, so when we went
to reshoot we decided not to use the zoom at
all.
10. Music and sound effects
The music in our psychological horror arguably brings
our film together. The music heightens the
atmosphere making it more tense and also adding
enigma. We found this piece of music already on our
school computers iTunes, so we directly put it in from
there. We got all our sound effects from
Freesound.org. We found sound effects like a creaking
rope and knocking. This sound effect below ‘Horror
drone’ is the exact sound effect we used for our
production logo.
