French day report by Milly C 6B
- 1. In the morning I walk down to the dining room because year 6 had French Breakfast. We had different croissants everyone was dressed up in red, white and blue so it made the room very colorful. After we had lined up and gone to our classrooms we had to go to a French assembly in Churchill hall. When my class and I walked in everyone was talking to each other and there was a song playing called ‘fruits’. All the teachers had to choose the children with the best outfit from their class. For my class Danielle and Millie went up. Next Mrs. Couture played a really embarrassing video of my class saying the menu of today’s lunch it made me laugh. Everybody was laughing and Mr. Brown our teacher said he was proud . Then Mrs. Couture showed other videos of other classes. At the end of assembly we went up to the multi-purpose room so they could put us in our math sets and we had a French math’s lesson. Mr. Fleet tried to do a test in French but no one understood him so Lukas went up because he knows French fluently. After maths we went to break then DT and after that we went to do some French activities. The first one we did was this shopping game. You have a shopping list and then you have to get to the right food by flipping a card over and if you don’t need it then you put it back. The second activity I did was my favorite it was called brain box. You have to study the things on the card but you are not allowed to look on the back, then another person asked you a question and you have to answer it. The third one I did was a flipping game. You had to take a card and it had a word on it you have to guess what it is in French then you flip it over and see if you got it right. It was really fun.
- 2. After that we had DRAMA. We played this game were you have to lie down and close your eyes and you have to count in French but no one can say it at the same time. Next we had lunch. The menu was: MENU Main course Boeuf bourgeon, Chicken or Ratatouille Rice or potatoes. Desert Crepe with chocolate or with lemon and sugar or selection of cheeses After lunch we had games and then went home. I had an amazing day!!!!!!! From Milly C in 6B
