Owner operated, California Style Breakfast Restaurant with a warm and friendly
community atmosphere. Featuring fresh grilled breakfast and lunch prepared in
an open kitchen.
On March 20th
1985, Sunset Grill opened its doors for the first time on Queen
Street East in the Beaches area of Toronto, Ontario. The California inspired
concept was named after the Don Henley hit song, Sunset Grill. The goal was
to become the best breakfast restaurant in town and to keep it a 1 shift specialty
operation.
Following the simple formula that “Fresh is Tastiest™
”, Sunset Grill quickly
became very popular with long lineups of loyal customers. Today, Sunset Grill is
Ontario’s favourite breakfast restaurant with 50 locations and growing.
Over the next 12 month span, Sunset Grill is opening at least 20 new franchised
units and is focusing on the rest of Ontario and Canada. The chain will concentrate
on high traffic and highly visible street locations in addition to freestanding pad
sites and end caps with patio (where possible). Street units require 1000 to 1500
square feet with basement areas while pad units require approximately 2200
square feet.

Steps to Buying a Sunset Grill Franchise
1.		 Return the completed Questionnaire and Personal Finance Statement to our
Head Office either by:
			 •	 mail
			 •	 fax
			 •	 email info@sunsetgrill.ca
2.		 We will follow up and comment upon our review of your application.
3.		 Upon initial approval, a personal interview will be arranged with Sunset Grill
Head Office.
4.		 Our franchise agreement and disclosure statements are presented to the
Franchisee so they may do their due diligence for the required minimum
period of 14 days. This is in accordance with franchise disclosure laws.
5.		 You will be required to visit a Small Business Loan Manager at a commercial
bank to evaluate your financing needs.
6.		 The franchise fee ($55,000 + HST) is paid upon signing and acceptance of the
franchise agreement.
7.		 Several prime locations are presented to the franchisee. If a franchisee a
specific location, it is reviewed by the franchisor and possibly granted to the
franchisee. Our Sunset Grill approved realtor must handle all correspondence
with a potential landlord. Your location is finalized once the franchisee and
franchisor agree.
8.		 An exclusive territory is granted once the location is secured and the final
lease for the premises is signed and executed.

  • 7. 6 Steps to Buying a Sunset Grill Franchise 1. Return the completed Questionnaire and Personal Finance Statement to our Head Office either by: • mail • fax • email info@sunsetgrill.ca 2. We will follow up and comment upon our review of your application. 3. Upon initial approval, a personal interview will be arranged with Sunset Grill Head Office. 4. Our franchise agreement and disclosure statements are presented to the Franchisee so they may do their due diligence for the required minimum period of 14 days. This is in accordance with franchise disclosure laws. 5. You will be required to visit a Small Business Loan Manager at a commercial bank to evaluate your financing needs. 6. The franchise fee ($55,000 + HST) is paid upon signing and acceptance of the franchise agreement. 7. Several prime locations are presented to the franchisee. If a franchisee a specific location, it is reviewed by the franchisor and possibly granted to the franchisee. Our Sunset Grill approved realtor must handle all correspondence with a potential landlord. Your location is finalized once the franchisee and franchisor agree. 8.
