This document provides instructions for creating a found poem by selecting words and phrases from magazines and newspapers. It explains that a found poem does not have to rhyme and is made by choosing powerful, moving, or interesting words. Students are directed to look for nouns, verbs, adjectives, and other words to include in their at least 10 line poem about a single topic. They must also identify and explain one piece of figurative language used in their poem.
