The Reading Without Walls project at Casa de Oro school aimed to broaden students' reading interests beyond their typical preferences. Over 100 new books representing diverse people and topics were added to the library. After participating in the project, all 64 students reported being willing to read different types of books. Book reviews showed 29% read about diverse people, 32% explored new topics, and 39% read different genres. While the project engaged 41% of students, it aims to involve more, particularly English learners, to foster lifelong reading habits and cultural understanding.
