Non-formal education provides basic, time-bound education for adults and aged outside the formal system through open universities and flexible part-time courses.

 The education is derived from different Latin words :
 Educare – It means “to bring up” , “to nourish ” ,”to raise”, “to
train”, “to mold ” into desirable form.
 Educere- It means “to bring forth” ,”to draw out”, “to lead”, which
implies education as a process of drawing out that is within.
