This document discusses the development of a short film project about a psychopath. It outlines the narrative of the film, which involves a serial killer stalking and killing college students filming a movie in the woods. It also discusses techniques that will be used in the film's trailer to build tension and uncertainty, such as quick cuts, blackouts, and panting sounds on a black screen. Finally, it lists some props that will be used in the film, including a video camera, long coat, glasses, fake blood, and a severed head.

2. Why Psychopath
• I chose the name psychopath as its very direct and cuts to the chase,
therefore the audience is given some Information.
• Looking at horror movies and the titles, straight way the name gives of the
event such as Paranormal Event and Scream, this is the technique I am
attempting to follow.
• However when developing the trailer I could essentially cut out some
words to create some form of puzzle or something like hang man, the
technique could also be used the in the uses and gratification theory,
therefore it involves the consumer doing there own research into the
product.

3. Narrative
• A serial killer/ Psychopath has returned to his house after breaking out of a state
psychiatric ward. And has killed someone leaving only there head in the woods.
• As walking around silently in the morning, he identifies Amelia who is his next
target and stalks her but Little does Amelia Know!
• Essentially Sonya Katie and Amelia are filming for the media project, the movie is
called forest, Amelia asks the lads (Dorian, Huey & Seth) if there able to film with
them. Amelia tells the boys they will be filming in the woods to create a there
movie environment
• The boys seem rather happy, Amelia is the camera girl and strolls around with the
camera, as she claims she's good with editing.
• As Amelia does her hair, she simply identities the Psycho then starts screaming
• But is ensured by her friends, so she doesn’t take any note of it.
• They then go into the woods to start filming
• Were it all happens….

4. Trailer
• Looking at other previous trailer I have been able to identify the pace of editing.
• Editing in trailers are at a very high pace, this is because they want the viewer to
have inadequate information in terms of what's going on, in reference to the
gratification concept. Trailers have to be short and snappy to create a form of
tension and this is one of the many tasks I have to do in order to maximise marks.
• During when I was watching these trailers where were many cuts and black outs,
this technique is again used to create a form of uncertainty.
• Sound is essentially the most important media codes as it helps establish what's
going on for instance there's a black screen but you can hear panting essentially
we the audience feel there's something going wrong.
• And in order to potentially capitalize on marks all these methods must be used.

5. Props
• Video Camera (To Create Point Of View Shots)
• Long Coat – this would be the coat that the psychopath would wear to
create some form of authority and intimidation
• Glass - These are the Glasses that Huey would be wearing
• Fake Blood – ideally used in many horror movie to symbolise a killing
• Head – as someone has just been killed and to be placed in the
