Plot idea treatent
- 1. TREATMENT
- 2. WHICH IDEA DID WE USE • We decided to use our first idea because there was much more meat on the bone to work with as well as being able to take inspiration from things like inception and Bladerunner 2049.The idea is also more captivating to myself and Hosam.
- 3. CINEMATOGRAPHY • The trailer will be shot about 50% with a tripod and 25% in the studio on the dolly (For the contrazoom shots mainly) and 25% handheld (mainly for the running scenes in the northern quarter of Manchester). It will most be shot at eyelevel or higher, there may be afew shots below this but I think these shots help us to stay level with our protagonist.
- 4. MISE-EN-SCENE • Most of our mise-en-scene will be darker colours with hints of pink and red to help push the dream scenes across. Our protagonist is supposed to look tired and worn out due to his insanity I solving his problem.
- 5. EDITING • The trailer will be mostly relatively slowly edited (a la Inception trailer) with fast montages throughout to help push a variety of shots in order to help keep our grades higher. Dream scenes will have a black and white filter with red and pinks that were shot on set (using chromakey) in order to help the audience recognise what is real and fake when the character doesn’t explicitly show it.
- 6. SOUND • I will be making a score to accompany the trailer that is edited to the trailer so they cut with each other and give the trailer a nice flow. I will be taking inspiration for the score from the Inception and Bladerunner 2049 trailers for this.This will help the mood of the trailer be set right the way through.
