The Library has recently completed a project to review which of our digital library resources we can provide for UWE students based with a partner and the partner staff that teach them and support their learning. In 10 minutes I shall aim to give you an overview of why we’ve taken the action we have; what we’ve actually done and importantly what the outcomes have been and implications for the future.

Non-degree learning is often referred to negatively as "non-credit", "non-degree", or "soft", but institutions of higher education have a legitimate role in non-degree education. MOOCs are shifting from traditional university-level courses to being more modular, targeted sequences aimed at a variety of education levels with the goals of engagement and income generation rather than just visibility.
How to Prepare and Conduct Online Video-based Discussions
Videos can be useful tools for online case-based learning environments by helping participants develop skills and foster collaboration. However, facilitators must actively engage participants and focus discussions on specific issues and experiences to promote grounded interactions among learners. Facilitators should ask targeted questions about the videos and draw comparisons to participants' own experiences in order to maximize collaborative learning.

Based on currently observable, documented, and quantifiable trends in higher and distance education, this paper will make predictions about the transformations in higher education that are on the horizon, with specific reference to the inexorable expansion of Open Educational Resources (OER), Open CourseWare(OCW), and continuous improvement processes.
The main prediction of this presentation is that, notwithstanding the current confusion over the use of OER and OCW and the present struggles to find resources to sustain the considerable efforts that have been undertaken in the OER movement, OER and OCW are here to stay and will grow rapidly, soon to be a part of every major higher educational institution in the world. The strongest and most obvious trends in higher education all intersect with OER and OCW creating in their addition an “imperative” for these movements.

The emergence of teaching materials and processes as open educational resources (OER) in higher education in the 21st century is part of the much larger social movement towards ‘opening up’ what was previously ‘closed’ to all except a limited number of people who paid for access to or use of information and services. Initially OER was understood as sharing specific ‘products’, but it now thought of as including the underlying pedagogical ‘practices’.
That academics and student tutors want to share their intellectual capital openly with the rest of the world is at the heart of the OER movement. Archer’s (2003) notion of the ‘active agent’, offers some insight into why academics (or students) in HEIs may decide to (or not) use and share OER, and how they might respond in an institutional environment which inhibits or encourages the practice of
sharing.

Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
