Brittany Norton mapped out her family's food needs and found that with proper planning, she has enough space to grow all the vegetables, fruits, grains, eggs, and milk that her family of four, soon to be five, will need. She created charts showing the vegetable, fruit, calorie, and protein servings and pounds her family will use, along with how many 100 square foot beds will be needed to produce each crop. With information on microclimates, sun exposure, and soil types, Brittany can design sustainable gardens to meet her family's nutritional needs.
