14. Tiklos (also called “pintakasi”) is the Waray
equivalent to the “bayanihan”. Groups of people
work for somebody without hoping for anything in
return. They work odd jobs like clearing forests,
digging the earth for wells, moving a nipa hut to a
new location or even building a house! In all these

Before we proceed to our Discussion proper let me introduce to you our objective for this afternoon class.
The teacher will introduce the different Folk Dance with Asian Influence and discuss on specific dance which is Tiklos.
Here are Philippine Folk Dance With Asian influence.
Since that we only have 1 hour for our discussion class lets focus first with the first dance TIKLOS. And we will be discussing other dances next meeting.
Of course grateful benefactors would offer drinks and food; but it is not always expected.
I have here a short video tutorial of the basic skills or steps of Tiklos.
May I request everyone to please watch the video attentively because we will be having an activity later.
After watching the video….
The teacher will teach and demonstrate the basic dance steps of Tiklos to the students.
(Students will observe attentively to the teacher first. Then after the teacher’s demonstration students will now follow the teacher and execute the basic dance step of Tiklos.)
The teacher will have the students execute the basic Tiklos dance steps to determine if the students know and are already familiar with the steps.
(The students will now execute Tiklos' basic steps on their own.)
Evaluation or Activity Time………………The teacher will divide the students into four groups and allow them to apply and execute the different basic dance steps of Tiklos to any modern dance song they choose, with students being graded based on the following criteria.
You will be group into four so I will ask everyone to settle down and lets our groupings
