Digitally mature companies outperform their peers by 26% in terms of profitability, driving utilities to adopt transformative programs such as digital utility transformation (DUT).
This presentation dives into one key aspect of DUT that is changing our industry: utility analytics—business intelligence, data organization, and analytics platforms supporting data-driven enterprises. Keeping the architecture consistent across the enterprise with fragmented budgets and diverse business requirements is difficult.
The presentation explores the experiences of a client as it established consensus on budgets, architectures, and technologies.

The Cloud economy has set a new benchmark for making easy, quick, and flexible solutions widely available. Theoretically, this offers businesses a fast, cost effective way to solve business challenges.
However, new challenges are being discovered. How will businesses orchestrate Cloud services across departments, technologies and disparate vendors? How will business processes and information be optimized instead of fragmented?
In this session, Capgemini shares first hand experiences and methodologies to mitigate risk and optimize Cloud adoption. After all, the Cloud should simplify doing business, not complicate it!

Four pillars of DevOps - John Shaw - Agile Cambridge 2014johnfcshaw
Slides presented at Agile Cambridge 2014 http://agilecambridge.net/ac2014/sessions/index.php?session=57
Session Description:
The emerging practice of DevOps is a natural extension to established Agile methods. The choice of tooling to support the practices is important and will influence heavily how rapid, repeatable and reliable live deployments might be.
Three of the four pillars are concerned with automation through tooling but, arguably, the fourth pillar is more important than the other three together. The fourth pillar is at the heart of the Agile Manifesto: people.
The "Gold Rush" for DevOps is dominated by vendors and the push to sell their wares. But it is people who use the tools, people who define, develop and assure the software, and people who manage the services after they have gone live. One of the cornerstones of DevOps is breaking down the walls between development teams and operations; too much tool specialisation will lead to further separation and even the introduction of yet another silo.
This talk will cover four pillars to DevOps: Environments, Deployment, Testing and People. The insights brought together in this talk were gained under commercial engagements with government clients, on development of financial systems responsible for management of funding in the adult education sector.
IoT in a context. Traditional IT and industrial IT are melting, DYI, 3D printing and more are taking us from a prognosis driven realito to a much mure "on actual demand" driven.

To take action before IT security attacks become critical, organizations need the analytics capabilities necessary to identify anomalous and suspicious behavior quickly. Our Anomalous Behavior Detection Solution addresses security issues that conventional methods can’t. It can help to detect and prevent theft of data or intellectual property (IP), for instance at the behest of nation states, organized crime, or by a disenchanted employee. It can quickly identify when a user is behaving in a way that is abnormal for them and take appropriate action to limit what they can do, or flag up the situation for managerial attention. It can also predict when anomalous behavior is likely to occur, flagging events of interest for further investigation for potential security breach.

An Introduction in 10 slides to Digital Customer ExperienceCapgemini
Businesses need to be agile, innovative, social, mobile, totally customer focused and geared to provide a profitable customer promise
CMO’s, COO’s, CIO’s and CFO’s globally are struggling with how to make digital a core part of how they do business and serve their customers profitably
Digital is driving rapid transformations in how organizations interact with other organizations and end customers. It is driving change in how CX is delivered across B2C, B2B and B2B2C
Capgemini DCX enables organizations to deliver a “profitable promise to its customers” based on intelligent insights and optimised processes. By combining deep understanding of the customer context, with a single view of the enterprise, we enable organizations to take real-time decisions and maximize profitability
Thousands of Employees, Millions of Devices, Billions of Things – Welcome to ...Capgemini
The Internet of Things is a network of connected devices fast becoming pervasive. These devices are bringing fundamental changes in the way business is done today; along with organization's internal processes and its digital strategy. These changes have already spurred a new wave of innovation and efficiency.
As the technology evolves, businesses should develop the ability to separate the true game changers from the hype and be prepared for a world where the number of things to be managed increases by an order of magnitude.
This presentation introduces the capabilities and imperatives that organizations need to advance.

Capgemini Connected Car Demo Using IBM Internet of Things Foundation on BluemixCapgemini
Does the buzz about IBM Internet of Things (IoT) and Bluemix makes you curious to see some real-world demos and implementations?
IBM and Capgemini are going to show you the future of vehicle technology, focusing on different ways in which vehicles can be connected using IoT and IBM Bluemix. We’ll demo an app named “Follow your Friend” that lets you connect with and exchange GPS positions with other vehicles.
We’ll also demo “Geofence” for location-based marketing: it knows about the drivers’ needs as they drive and informs retailers about potential customers, so they can push offers to their customer’s vehicle devices (or mobile devices) as they drive by.

World Insurance Report 2015 from Capgemini and EfmaCapgemini
The World Insurance Report 2015 from Capgemini and Efma analyzes the major disruptions Insurers of the Future are likely to face, including: changing demographics, evolving customer demands, technology advancements, and increasing competition and the impact they may have on current business models. Built from Capgemini’s Insurer Capability Maturity Framework, and insights from 165 senior executive interviews, the report maps both current and desired Insurer maturity levels across seven key capabilities and provides a transformation roadmap for insurers to overcome those disruptors.
Featuring data from over 15,500 customers globally, Capgemini’s exclusive Customer Experience Index (CEI) highlights the alarming drop in positive experience levels, driven by Gen Y customers’ high digital expectations, and their detrimental impact on firm revenues. Addressing both life and non-life segments, the World Insurance Report 2015 covers 30 insurance markets across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Securing the Internet of Things Opportunity: Putting Cybersecurity at the Hea...Capgemini
The potential trillion dollar Internet of Things (IoT) business opportunity rests precariously on one critical factor – security. 71% of executives in our survey agreed that security concerns will influence customers’ purchase decision for IoT products. However, despite increasing cyber attacks and ample warning from security experts, most organizations do not provide adequate security and privacy safeguards for their IoT products. In fact, only 33% of IoT executives in our survey believe that the IoT products in their industry are highly resilient to cyber security attacks. Further, despite rising consumer concerns regarding data privacy, 47% of organizations do not provide any privacy related information regarding their IoT products.
So, why are organizations lagging behind in securing their IoT products and systems? Key reasons for this include an expanded attack surface, inefficiencies in the IoT product development process, and the lack of specialized security skill-sets. For instance, our survey showed that only 48% of companies focus on securing their IoT products from the beginning of the product development phase. Building a secure IoT system begins with the recognition that security needs to be as much of a priority as the features and functionality of an IoT product. The report highlights the key measures that organizations must take in order to put security at the core of their IoT value proposition.

1. the way we do it
Social Media Transformation Center
Uw burgers worden mondiger
op social media. Hoe gaat u hier
mee om?
Burgers gebruiken social media voor
het aangeven van klachten, hulpvra-
gen, hulp aanbieden en informatie aan-
vragen.
ongenoegen over.
Capgemini wil overheidsorganisaties
helpen om op een efficiënte en zorg-
vuldige manier interactie via social
media mogelijk te maken.
Naar interactieve
communicatie
Op naar interactie via social
media!
Het gebruik van social media leent zich
bij uitstek voor:
1. Verbetering van communicatie en
interactie met burgers.
2. Inzicht verkrijgen in online opinies
en het peilen van burgervoorkeu-
ren (analyse).
3. Het mogelijk maken van cam-
pagnes op eenvoudige wijze via
meerdere kanalen. Hieronder ver-
staan wij specifieke campagnes
zoals het monitoren van online-
gemeenschappen, maar bijvoor-
beeld ook het ondersteunen van
marketingcampagnes.
Wist u dat?
• 70 % van de Nederlandse
bevolking actief is op social
media? (bron: CBS, 2013).
• Dit percentage stijgend is.
• Social media zich hierdoor
bij uitstek lenen voor verbe-
terde interactie tussen over-
heid en burger.
2. Social Kickstart
1. Analyse van uw huidige communicatiestrategie en social
mediagebruik in combinatie met uw gewenste social
media-communicatiestrategie.
2. De gewenste communicatiepatronen van de ‘to-be’ situatie
invullen.
3. Een kick-offsessie met de communicatieafdeling, hierin
worden standaard procedures getoond, best practices toe-
gelicht en tooling gedemonstreerd.
media.
Social Media Interactie Centrum
De Capgemini Social Media Interactie Centrum-aanpak:
• Ontzorgen van online interactie.
• Vooraf gedefinieerde communicatiepatronen.
Capgemini professionals.
