Social And Emotional Development Of The Gifted
Social and Emotional Development of the Gifted 1
Running head: SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE GIFTED

Social and Emotional Development of the Gifted
When dealing with gifted children, there are often many social and emotional problems that are
underlying. Gifted students are not like other students. These students are often referred to as the ones
that are smart with good grades and have superior test scores. Gifted students are envisioned as the
students that are extraordinary in many aspects! What is not always ... Show more content on

These characteristics can also cause the already identified students to not achieve to their fullest due to
stress and lack of motivation.
It is very hard to understand why students don t perform to their full potential when you know they are
capable. This is known as underachievement. Both early researchers and more recent authors have
defined underachievement in Social and Emotional Development of the Gifted 3 terms of a
discrepancy between a child s school performance and some ability index such as an IQ score. (Delisle
Galbraith, 2002). Gifted children who do not succeed in school are often successful in outside
activities such as sports, social events, after school jobs, talent or hobby interests. (Delisle Galbraith,
2002). So we wonder what causes the underachievement.
Bainbridge (2014), believes these problems result from gifted children being able to intellectually
understand abstract concepts but are then unable to deal with those concepts emotionally. Ones
physical development may also lead to an inability to complete a task that they are capable of
intellectually envisioning. Perfectionism can lead to fear of failure, in turn causing a gifted child to
avoid failure by refusing to even try something. (Bainbridge, 2014). This often leads to a lack of
motivation among students.
McCoach Siegle (2005), believe that motivated students appear to

Group Norms Case Study
Group Norms A Framework for an Efficient Performance Strategy. Subject: Organizational Behaviour
II Registration No.: 151202089 Purpose: the purpose of this study is understand how group norms
helps in developing the performance of the group members. Keyword: group norms and performance
strategy, team norms and performance strategy In today s business world the organizations tend to take
good planned steps and risks in order to increase their productivity and revenues. So to achieve that
they depend on their employees. However, for employees to satisfy the goals and deliverables, it is

to complete the goals of the organization. It is a specific type of behaviour what team member shows
when they interact with each other or another groups. Norms are influenced by members past
experiences and behaviours. Team norms can be stated as punctuality at work, to co ordinate with the
fellow team members, complete the goal within the given specified times etc. Members of the group
has to set up a guidelines or rules so that they would do the task given to them in an ethical way.
Group norms can be written by any person and every team members can contribute his/her ideas in
generating the group norms. Team members will want to consciously verify the types of rules,
recommendations and norms that they would want to follow. Group norms are mostly required to
control the behaviour of the members. Sometimes team members may unintentionally harm the group
project as they were not able to understand and implement the group norms into their work. This in
turn effects the goal of the organization. There is no limit for adding more rules in the group norms. If
the team leader or the members think that some positive changes has to be done regarding the group
norms than they can do it without any hesitation. For the team to work effectively in an organization
group norms are necessary. Group norms help in setting the team in a proper direction in achieving the
common goal of the organization. A team can perform in an efficient manner only when the team
members have faith in each other s work. When employees trust each other and create group norms,
than they would be able to work strategically and perform

Temperature Of Alka Seltzer
Alka Seltzer being affected by different temperatures in different cups
Research Question How does the temperature affect the speed in which an Alka Seltzer tablet fully
dissolves in three cups filled with water with different temperatures.
Background Information A chemical reaction is a process that involves change of the molecular or
ionic structure of a substance, as opposed to a change in physical form or a nuclear reaction. The key
concepts of a chemical reaction are:
The atoms and molecules that interact with each other are called reactants
The molecules and atoms produced in a chemical reaction are called products
No atoms are destroyed or created they only end up in other products
Reactants collide with each other so new bonds between atoms in the reactants are broken, and atoms
rearrange and form new bonds to make new products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A larger concentration of products is usually linked to a lower reaction rate.
Usually an increase in temperature in a chemical reaction means that there will be an increase in the
reaction rate of the reactants. Temperature is a measure of the kinetic energy of a system. If
temperature is the measure of the kinetic energy of a system, higher temperature implies a higher
average kinetic energy of molecules and more collisions per time. This would happen because when
the temperature is increased and the reactants will start moving faster and will collide more than
before with other reactants and will start forming products.
This image explains that the higher the temperature, the concentration, and the pressure the faster the
rate of the reaction is.

The Personality Analysis Of Wendy Williams
The Personality Analysis of Wendy Williams
Wendy Williams was born on July 18, 1944 in New Jersey. She spent most of her life there, but would
eventually rise to fame when she moved to New York to Pursue a career in broadcasting. She is now
best known as a radio and television personality. As of now, she is the host for the Wendy Williams
show, along with being a designer, a host, and a comedian, among other things. When watching her, it
is very clear that out of all the Big Five Personality traits, she is more of an extrovert than anything
else.
An extrovert, by definition, is an outgoing or expressive person. According to Kendra Cherry (2016),
it is often characterized by excitability, sociability, talkativeness, assertiveness and high amounts of
emotional expressiveness. In addition to those traits, Kennon M. Sheldon, Richard M. Ryan, Laird J.
Rawsthorne, and Barbara Ilardi also found that vigorousness is part of the traits associated with
extraversion (1997, p.4) That would make sense because if you watch Wendy Williams show, you will
see her express most,if not all of those traits.
Those who are extroverts score high in excitement seeking (or excitability) and adventurous behavior.
This means that they are very much into the idea of thrill seeking, and will grow bored without some
level of stimulation (class, 9/8/16). This idea could explain why Wendy is in the show business. When
you watch her show, every time the curtains rises, you see the excitement in her face.

Misreading Scripture With Western Eyes
While reading the novel Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes one might ve found the same
following points and given a summary about the misreading s and hidden points in the bible.
Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes gives the reader well enlightened concepts to the bible that
before might have been obscured, but now have been broken down into terms that people from the
western part of the world can comprehend such as ice bergs. The author uses many a resemblances to
the bible and how other supportive countries of our world see it inversely. The author uses these
metaphors to build an understanding for the reader so that they can make comparisons themselves.
The author uses the metaphor about the iceberg to assemble the book into three different sections. The
tip (being the part of the world that we all see and have come to recognize misconceptions. below the
surface (the part of which only certain liberally and religiously educated beings notice, and the
massive section of the iceberg that is completely unseen to people. In the beginning chapter the author
speaks frequently of moral values that society in the past saw and assumed was correct because they
were the first to know the meaning. Moving forward through out the chapter however the author
explains that since the bible was written throughout a different period and setting, we people of the
future have come to twist and misread these moral values.
The next piece of the novel discusses on how society

Quotes From Lord Of The Flies By William Golding
Day 1: My day started as any other day. We all got on the plane, on our way too a place, I forgot the
name. Then the next thing, the plane was in flames and we crashed on the island. I was climbing this
hill when I heard this sound, I took the choirboys with me and we found this boy with a shell and a
bunch of other boys crowded around him. We all introduced ourselves and three of us when off to find
food. I was with Ralph and Simon, this boy, Piggy, wanted to come but I told him no. We found a pig,
I was so close to killing it. I was choosing a place, said Jack. I was just waiting for a moment to decide
where to stick it. ( Golding 31.) I couldn t bring myself to kill that pig. The rest of the boys got mad, I

That little un that had a mark on his face where is he now? I tell you I don t see him. ( Golding 46 ). I
don t know who is gong to tell his parents. That s all I got for now, until next time. Jack Day 52: I am
so proud of myself. I finally killed that darn pig. When we got to the fire on the hilltop, guess who was
there, that Ralph. He got so mad then we let the fire go out. We just went to find a pig to eat. Simon
didn t eat a piece, I threw a piece at him. I started yelling at all boys because I gave them food and
they didn t eat. After I calmed down a bit, the hunting group started to reenact the killing of our pig. I
slept good, my stomach was full. I was satisfied. Jack Day 86: After what feels like years, but actually
months. Things have taken a turn for the worst, the boys want me to be the leader, but i m not sure if I
can do it. Ralph doesn t want me to be chief, he thinks that is a bad idea because I m too reckless and,
I want to get off this island as well as Ralph. He wants to be civilized and make shelters just in case
we don t get off this island. He wants me to help, do I help, no way am I going to do work. Simon can
help him, I really don t care. I just want to do things and not have Ralph tell me what to do. I can t
wait to get off this island and away from Ralph and his pets Simon and Piggy.

A Short Story Of A Chapter
Harry had driven him far from home. He sat in the car for what felt like an hour when in reality it was
only thirty minutes. But he didn t mind he liked to look out the window. Louis had never been in such
a fancy pub before, he honestly hadn t been anywhere else than Mcdonald s but he would never admit
that to Harry. He stayed close to the alphas side as he pulled him into the empty pub. Harry led him
into a back room with a private table. He spotted Liam and grinned. The alpha waved for him to come
over. Harry was never much of the kind to throw parties but he figured it was better to make friends
with the surrounding packs incase trouble came his way. He was always one to look out for himself
and his pack. The night went smoothly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He sighed and picked up the boy. Louis smelled of alcohol but he didn t mind they all did. Liam
thought nothing of it. He brought the sleeping omega in the car along with the others and drove home.
He carried the boy to his bed and tucked him in without a worry. Harry s hangover wasn t too bad. It
was noon and it was already gone. He had been the first one up and set up in the living room with his
typical cup of tea in one hand and his phone in the other. It was peaceful until Liam came trudging
down the steps carrying the darn omega in his arms. Stop carrying him around. He isn t a child Liam.
Harry grumbled. Found him sleeping in the bathroom. I think he is sick. Liam sighed. Harry took a sip
of his tea and looked up at the boy snuggled up in Liam s arms. Liam laid the boy down on the sofa
and placed his hand on his forehead. He is warm. You should take him to Ed. He was vomiting blood.
Harry paused and looked at the boy again. His shirt was wet most likely from sweat. He honestly
looked like shit. But still Harry didn t want to deal with the omega. It was the boy s fault. He had
drank last night and he had to suffer the consequences. Why should I? He is your responsibility. Zayn
and I need have appointments today. Do you really trust Grimshaw to take him there? Harry groaned
dramatically throwing his head back. Fine! Harry exclaimed. Harry fiddled with the buttons of his
blouse as he rocked

Difference Between Semiotic Analysis And Ethnography
This literature review examines the dynamics of two qualitative methods of research: semiotic
analysis and ethnography. The interdependence of these two methods, or as David Silverman (2011, p.
4) calls them models , of research will be further spoken about in this essay which shall also go in
depth on how the two methods have an important role in shaping media and culture research and how
they contribute to the existing cultural production. Qualitative research is one of the kinds of research
conducted to analyse content such as media texts and industries. The other is quantitative research,
which is more concerned with statistical and numerical data. The former type of research mentioned

In addition, since thorough plaque removal from all surfaces of the teeth is required for optimal oral
hygiene and oral health, and since the onset of periodontal disease occurs at the gingival margins and
interproximally, plaque evaluations included assessments of whole mouth plaque reductions, as well
as reductions from the harder to reach gingival margin and approximal surfaces. Gingivitis reductions
were evaluated using MGI, GBI, and the number of bleeding sites, and for all three measures the O R
power brush offered statistically significant benefits compared to the advanced sonic brush. Dental
plaque is the single most important factor in the onset and presence of gingivitis. Therefore, the
development of effective brush heads is important clinically and economically, as dental visits and

The Sequence Of Development For Each Child Should Follow A...
The sequence of development for each child should follow a similar pattern. The 5 key areas of
development are: social, physical, intellectual, communication and language, and emotional. The rate
that general development should take place differs from child to child, but there are 9 age ranges
which certain stages of development should fall into, for a child that is developing healthily and
normally.
I will now detail each age range, and development sequence.
0 to 3 months:
Social Development
A child will cry to communicate
They respond to facial gestures from others, such as smiles, and can respond positively to attention
from others, unless upset or angry.
They only consider others as there to satisfy their own needs.
Physical Development
Sleeps often and grows quickly
Should begin trying to lift own head
Starts to kick legs and gradually move
Begins waving arms
Starts to hold appropriate objects if placed in their hands
Hand eye coordination develops and grasp reflex diminishes
Enjoys simple finger play
Become more alert when awake
Learns to roll
Can see at a distance of 25cm well, can begin to start watching further away objects
Needs opportunity to play to develop further
Intellectual Development
Recognises simple patterns, concentrates on known voices
Aware of different scents and smells
Puts objects in mouth to explore
Observes moving objects, responds to bright colour.

Apple Inc. Essay
Apple Inc.
I am going to start off by going into a little bit of history about apple and how it has grown over the
past 10 years or so, I am also going to talk about some new products from Apple such as Apple TV
and the iphone, as well as the name change, and the new direction they have chosen to take with their
marketing and what it has helped them accomplish over the past couple of years.
Apple Inc. has come a long way from what it used to be. The computer market has always been a PC
based system being mainly pushed by the Microsoft software platform. Apple Computers has been
struggling to make it in the computer market for a long time, going up against their competitor
Microsoft who had a monopoly on the market. Microsoft had such ... Show more content on

This was just the start for Apple s new ideas and goals to penetrate the consumer market.
All throughout the early 21st century the iPod has been the sought after mp3 product. Everybody had
to have one, and if you did, you were pretty cool. In 2004 Apple joined up with U2 to help promote
their new 20 gig ipod release. This was a great example of apple s new marketing plan, going for the
entertainment and media side of the market.
Another side of Apple that really made the music industry happy was then they started to sell songs on
itunes for $1 a song. Music Pirating was a huge issue throughout the early 21st century and Apple was
on the for front of helping fix that. In 2007 Apple introduced the iPhone and Apple TV, two
revolutionary products that is changing Television as well as the cell phone market as we know it.
Apple TV is setting a new standard for the viewing of media, it gives the consumer the capability to
wirelessly connect their computer to their television to stream virtually any video, song or website on
the internet through their TV. This is the new are of wave of media technology allowing people to
watch whatever they want whenever they want without any regular scheduled programming. This is
also a major bonus for television marketers since they are able to tell exactly how many views each
show or video is being watched.
Onto the iPhone. When the iphone hit the market it was a must have item. Everybody wanted one!

Achilles Vs Hector In The Iliad
Achilles vs Hector In the Iliad , both Hector (Trojan warrior) and Achilles (Greek warrior) display
heroic characteristics. Both have strengths and weaknesses, which are apparent throughout the
conflicts in the epic poem. They have obvious differences and limited similarities, which logically
lends itself to the idea of who is more admirable. On one hand there is Achilles, a great warrior, son of
Thetis and King Peleus, and notorious for his anger. This is shown when Achilles addresses King
Agamemnon, You drunkard, with eyes like a bitch and heart like a fawn! You never arm yourself with
your men for battle... (Homer 8). Achilles is beyond livid about king Agamemnon s threatening to take
Briseis (Achilles woman), and shows this through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is shown when he tries to make a truce with Achilles, If Zeus gives me endurance, and with it I
take your life. I will do no vile outrage to your body; I will take your amour, Achilles, and your body I
will give back to your people. You do the same (Homer 318). Hector is thinking of the people on both
sides of the war. For Hector, war is a necessary evil; he longs for peace, yet realizes that it is not likely
to return to Troy. His involvement in the Trojan War is motivated by his duty to protect the people of
the country and the city in with they reside. Hector is what some consider a true patriot . He shows his
deep seated love through his refusal to take wine from his mother. His reason is simple; wine would
cripple him and make him forget that he must fight for his country. In contrast to the anger of Achilles,
Hector is calm and quiet. As the first day of battle draws to an end, Hector returns to the city to be
bombarded with questions about husbands and fathers, which he answers calmly, before joining his
parents, children and wife in the palace. Between Achilles and Hector, the most admirable person
would be Hector. He is a calm, caring and selfless person. Hector is no invincible by any means, as his
battle with Achilles shows. He longs for peace and fears the towering rage of Achilles. He
concentrates on what is beneficial for the community as a whole, opposed to Achilles, whose lust for
vengeance and treasure trumps his loyalty for his

Japanese Economy During The World War
Introduction Since the Second World War, the Japanese economy had experienced remarkable growth,
transforming from a developing to an advanced developed economy in a single generation. However,
on the edge of a three decade long Economic Miracle, in the late 1980s, Japan faced its regrettable
bubble economy in which asset prices rapidly soared, money supply and credit underwent sizable
increase, and economic activity overheated for a prolonged period (Okina p.396). At the bubble s peak
in 1989, the Japanese stock market obtained a value of around $4 trillion, reaching the benchmark
Nikkei 225 stock average of ¥38,915 (four times the level they had been in 1983) (Siebert p.9). This
was approximately 44 percent of the world s equity market capitalization (Stone p.149). At around
similar time frame, Japan also saw a spectacular surge in land prices with the land values five times
that of the United States (Stone p.149). Hence, during this time, the economy relished an investment
and consumption boom to the extent that Japan rapidly became known as the world s largest creditor
country. However, such record growth fell drastically with the burst of the bubble: the stock market
plummeted by over 60 percent from its peak in 1989 to 1992 while speculative land prices fell over 50
percent and essential land prices declined by about 15 to 20 percent (Okina p.397). Overall, the
bursting of the bubble resulted in a detrimental decline in asset prices, the accumulation of enormous

Throughout the chapter Moral Disagreement in his work Cosmopolitanism, Kwame
Anthony Appiah analyzes the issues of morality. Appiah essentially presents his argument in a manner
which questions the concept of what is ethically right and wrong. Furthermore, he believes that
societies and individuals will inevitably experience moral disagreements. From the author s
perspective, If we are to encourage...moral conversations between people across societies, we must
expect such disagreements. 1 As demonstrated in the reading, Appiah suggests that on a global scale,
unique societies fail to share the same evaluative language when discussing moral issues. However,
even when different communities share similar terms, the subjective nature of vocabulary allows for
contrasting interpretations. Finally, Appiah illustrates that various cultural groups place different
weights on the same values.
The vocabulary used in numerous parts of the world is quite diverse and multifaceted.
Kwame Anthony Appiah effectively distinguishes the terms thin and thick as words applied to
describe moral disagreement within the text. The author admits that individuals from differing
societies share thin words, yet the lack of depth from this vocabulary results in an insignificant
description of morality. Appiah elaborates on this concept, explaining that [s]ome terms

Anabolic Steroids And Its Effects On The Body
A 16 year old high school junior was told by his coach that he needed to be stronger and faster if he
wanted to play more in his senior year. The young man was discouraged because he has been trying
for years to gain weight and muscle, but it just was not enough. He remembered a friend telling him
about what anabolic steroids had done for him and decided to try it, he would later regret that
decision. Anabolic steroids are drugs that reciprocate certain natural hormones in the body such as the
male hormone testosterone, which can improve endurance and performance and stimulate muscle
growth. Even though anabolic steroids may provide the body image and results some adolescents
want, they can be harmful to the adolescent body and mind, it s not fair to those who gained weight
and muscle naturally because they may have a smaller chance of recognition, and there are safer
alternatives that can assist in gaining weight and muscle. According to Dr. Ali Mohamadi, a medical
doctor from the FDA, states that, Various studies have been conducted and generally reflect the
findings of a Youth Risk and Behavior Surveillance System study, which estimated that among U.S.
high school students, 4.9% of males and 2.4% of females have used anabolic steroids at least once in
their lives. That s 375,000 young men and 175,000 young women. Anabolic steroids can pose a major
threat to the adolescent body and mind, especially if they are abused over a long period of time. The

across the street and saw two boys, both with masks and one with a yellow hoodie, sitting in a booth
in the corner of the room, eating a few slices of cheesecake. As she ordered at the counter, she could
feel eyes burning holes into her head, but when she turned around and scanned the room, she saw no
one looking or even glancing at her. She turned back around to give the cashier money and felt the
burning stare again. She shook slightly and with her hands trembling, passed over the money needed.

Difference Between Living And Nonliving Things
Students will be able to describe the differences between living and nonliving things.
1 LS1 1. Use evidence to explain that (a) different animals use their body parts and senses in different
ways to see, hear, grasp objects, protect themselves, move from place to place, and seek, find, and take
in food, water, and air, and (b) plants have roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits that are used to take
in water, air, and other nutrients, and produce food for the plant.
This will be the first section of the unit. It is important for students to be able to describe the
differences between living and nonliving things because these are important aspects of our
environment in the world. Students will be able to distinguish what makes something living and what
makes something nonliving. Students will be able to define the term organism and how this is another
term that shares the same meaning as living thing. Students will also be able to describe the basic
needs of living things and pose questions to themselves, in order to determine if an object is living or
nonliving. Students will recognize the difference between living and nonliving things and accurately
identify living and nonliving while exploring their surrounding environment. Students will form
predictions and observations while recording and collecting data and evidence throughout this portion
of the unit, as students will learn these are the everyday tasks of real scientists. Students will learn that

The Pros And Cons Of Colonization In Mexico
The roots of a slower development in Mexico compared to the neighbouring United States can be
found in the two different types of colonization that the countries received. North America s English
colonies were based on agriculture and industry in order to create a sustainable community since there
was no sign of valuable natural resources to exploit. The settlers of Jamestown, the first successful
English colony, brought sugar cane and couldn t get it to grow so the colonies turn out to be similar to
communities inhabited by emigrated British which occupy land by expelling the natives living in the
region. The Spanish colonizers in Mexico were luckier in terms of resources found, the area was rich

The challenges that the country should face in the next years to accelerate and improve this
democratization process are to ensure collective and individual rights for Indigenous people, a large

rampant corruption in districts due to excessive powers of the authorities and drug cartels and reduce

Martin Luther, A Christian Theologian And Augustinian Monk
Gustavo Huangal
October 8, 2014
Bible 2nd Assessment
Martin Luther Martin Luther, a Christian theologian and Augustinian monk has taught and inspired the
Protestant Reformation. His translation of the Bible has helped to develop the correct version of the
German language. Martin Luther was a great man. Martin Luther was born on the 10th of November,
1483 in Eisleben, Germany. Hans and Margaretha Luder were his parents. In 1501, he had been
enrolled in the University of Erfurt at the age of seventeen. But all of that changed during a harsh
thunderstorm where a lightning bolt struck near him on his way back to school. With terror he yelled
these words, Help St. Anne! I ll become a monk! Since then, he dropped out of law school and started
attending monastery there. He would devote himself only to things like fasts, long hour prayers, and
constant confessions. He tried a lot to change this, but the more he tried to do this for God, it always
seemed that he became more aware of his sinfulness. Martin Luther eventually ended up being good
with God personally when his teacher, Johann von Staupitz, ordered that Luther needed more work to
distract him from all his thoughts. So then Luther was ordained to the priesthood. So in the year of
1508, Martin Luther started to teach theology at the University of Wittenberg. The difficult time of
study for academic degrees and preparation for the hard lectures drove Martin Luther to study the
Scriptures very deep. Luther engaged

The United States General Election Essay
While the 2016 United States general election has been in itself special with regards to the deep
division among the electorate and lack of favorability of the two frontrunners for the presidency, it still
has the unique American system of being dominated by two major political parties; Republicans and
Democrats. Over time these political parties have experienced massive changes but in modern
America they have crafted very unique identities. With regards to social issues such as abortion rights
and treatment of minority groups and economic issues such as fiscal spending, income taxes and
welfare, Republicans in general have been characterized as mainly conservative, tax averse and
against government entitlements while Democrats have been generally characterized as mainly liberal
on these same issues. Altogether political affiliations to either the right or the left can be categorized
based on their preference for stability. Liberals are generally seen as being more adaptable to a
changing environment for example in the case for LGBTQ rights where the changing environment has
generally led them to be more acceptable while conservatives are more likely to be less open, sticking
to what they consider traditional values. These attributes have for a long time been seen to be largely
determined by the political atmosphere in an individuals environment but growing research has shown
that these characteristics have a significant association with human genetics. In this paper I

The Creation Story Of Islam And The Three Creation Stories
Everyone has their perspective on how the universe came to be; their beliefs are all based on creation
stories that have passed down through generations. The three creation stories that will be analysed are
the modern Islamic creation story, the indigenous Maori creation myth and the emerging story of Thor.
The creation of the world in Islam s perspective begins with Allah God creating the heavens and the
earth all within six days. He then created the sun, the moon and the planets with each their own term
of existence. Allah created the entire universe with water as well as animals. After doing so, he created
the first man Adam from clay. God then told his angels including Shayṭān (the devil, who was the only
angel made of fire) to bow down to Adam. All of the angels obeyed except for Shayṭān who refused to
do so, claiming that he was more powerful because he was fire and Adam was made of clay, which
caused Allah to become conflicted with the devil thus banishing him from heaven. Shayṭān then
decided to create hell to challenge God s people (humans) and influence them to go against God and
go to hell instead of heaven. The second human created was Eve aka Hawwa that came from Adam s
right rib, she was a mate for him that had the same nature and soul. Before Adam and Eve lived on
earth, Jinns (Allah s creation of spirits, similar to genies) used to live on planet earth. Adam and Eve
were banished to earth after eating a forbidden fruit that the devil influenced them to eat.

Alcohol Abuse Among College Students
It was once stated on the essay Too Many Colleges Are Still in Denial About Alcohol Abuse that
colleges have a serious problem with alcohol abuse among students, and it s not getting any
better...college presidents viewed alcohol abuse as their top campus life problem (Wechsler 336).
I believe that alcohol consumption is one of the biggest problems we as a society are facing now a
day. We see this as a common activity among college students and sometimes we even encourage it by
letting people believe is a natural thing for teenagers to do. The bigger problem is actually binge
drinking defined as the heavy, episodic use of alcohol (Wechsler 337).
Although many see this as something fun and entertaining, alcohol consumption has many effects on
the life of the drinker and those around him/her.
According to an essay published by College Parents dot com, about four out of five college students
drink alcohol (College Parents). If we think about this, four out of five students drink. But the question
is how many people are actually affected by the drinker s behavior?
Families and friends of those who drink are usually the most affected ones. 87 per cent of non binge
drinkers said they experienced several problems because of other s binge drinking. (Wechsler 338).

a) Differentials: Gout, Rheumatoid Arthitis, Plantar Fasciitis
b) Plan: Prescribed Colchicine (Colcrys) 0.6 mg tablet for 10 days, to reduce joint inflammation
related to gout flares.
c) Education: A preventive gout flare diet includes one that is low purine, low protein, alcohol
restricted diet. Gout is influenced by dietary factors that lead to an increase in purines, such as red
meat and shellfish, alcohol, and caffeinated beverages. Avoidance of these dietary factors may reduce
gouty flares. An alcohol restricted diet is imperative because alcohol consumption closely correlates
with hyperuricemia leading to a gout attack. B.B. should be made aware that excessive joint
movement might increase inflammation, whereas rest of affected joints may support resolution of
pain. Cold compresses may also be beneficial to treatment of gout attacks. Patient should be
recommended to exercise regularly and drink plenty of water, leading to lower the concentration of
uric acid.
d) Referral: None at this time. Patient directed to follow up if symptoms have not resolved in 10 days.
Gout is an arthritic disease caused by buildup of uric acid in the body. Normally, the liver processes
purines. When purines are destroyed by the liver, uric acid, a waste product is produced. Normally, the
body disposes uric acid through the kidneys where it is removed from the blood. When too much uric
acid is produced by the liver or the kidneys do not eliminate properly from the

The Importance Of The Necessary And Proper Clause
The Necessary and Proper Clause is part of Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. Americans love
the Constitution but little do they actually know about its powers. Powers, established in statements,
which come along with bills from the House of Representatives, are tried by the Necessary and Proper
Clause and determined Constitutional or unconstitutional.
The Necessary and Proper Clause and its role in modern federal law, along with the questions that
come from applying the clause.
The Constitutional is centered around power and where that power comes from. The enumerated
powers established in Article 1, Section 8 have also given Congress the power to carry out laws in
order to follow previously established powers. Governments stretch and bend problems in such a way
that they will fit under the enumerated powers of the Constitution. All the enumerated powers have a
list of adjunct statute not stated in the strict interpretation of the power. The Necessary and Proper
Clause authorizes Congress to pass laws and the adoption of theses laws prompt questions. Examples
of questions would be: How strong must the means end connection between the primary policy and
the secondary rule be? or What are the side effects of this law and how does it impact society? Laws
passed under the clause are placed under judicial review which determines if it applies under the
Constitution.
The main points made in the book The Origins of the Necessary and Proper Clause by Gary Lawson,

Rock N Roll Music Comparison
To compare Chuck Berry s Rock N Roll Music with Elvis Presley s Hound Dog would be similar to
comparing a granny smith to a golden delicious. Both are apples, and look fairly similar but have a
noticeable difference in texture and taste after the first bite. With almost a decade between both songs,
the exterior shows two songs which are noted as strong contributors to the genre of rock n roll,
following very similar conventions and a focus on the same audience. Yet with a keen ear some
significant changes between the instruments and utilization thereof can be heard. Both songs are
arguably very similar, with a few minor changes that can make a significant difference. One of the
most notable differences is heard almost instantly in the instruments used. Although both songs utilize
the usual suspects, guitar, bass and drums alongside a strong vocal. Yet, a smooth sounding piano can
be heard in the background of Rock n Roll Music providing a consistent and fast riff in the
background. This is substituted in Hound Dog with hand clapping providing a quick and catchy beat.
What this accomplishes is a much more informal feel to Hound Dog, as if something you would hear

Whilst Rock n Roll Music follows a more traditional route, Hound Dog has an interesting sound
behind the guitar, one of which could be compared almost to that of a steel guitar, as was popular

Elvis Presley combines this with his unique vocals, almost as if being able to produce the high and the
low pitches, the bass and the tenor simultaneously. It is this combination of a Hawaiian feel behind a
uniquely powerful vocal which not only separates Rock n Roll Music and Hound Dog, but also the
sound that launched Elvis Presley into rock n roll stardom in a way few can

The king never pretended to be the most intelligent man in the room. He knew in doing so, he would

Relationships In Shakespeare sTitus Andronicus And Henry...
Shakespeare lights a candle of conflict in the beginning of his plays and appeals to individual opinions
throughout his plot, only to cause the fire of confusion to engulf the reader s mind at the end. He uses
the themes of violence, bravery and lust in his plays, the Titus Andronicus and Henry IV Part 1, to
show the masculinity of the characters. Moreover, he portrays societal expectations and the father s
prejudices as the main culprits for the ill understanding between the father and the son. How can a
father s personal prejudice overpower his love for his child? Is it the father s greed for respect and
societal grandeur that causes a clash between him and his son? In Titus Andronicus and Henry IV Part
1, Shakespeare sculpts unique and convoluted Father Son relationships, which are a result of the
fathers expectations and their perception of masculinity. Titus Andronicus introduces the reader to a
multifaceted relationship of a father and a son. In the very first scene of the play, just after Titus says,
What, villain, boy / Barr st me my way in Rome? (1.1.295 96), he kills Mutius, his own son. Titus is
not concerned about his daughter eloping with Bassianus, rather he believes that the ten year long war
has won him the ownership of Rome. His pride cannot let anyone, even his son, stand between him
and his prized possession. Shakespeare uses violence to depict the masculine character of Titus. Titus
ego shines more brightly in these lines than his love for his son.

Gen. Stat. § 1A 1, Rule 12.
The above statue is affirmed in Sutton v. Duke, 277 N.C. 9, 102 (N.C. 1970), Where the court
established the sufficiency of notice pleading. This type of pleading provides a statement of a claim is
adequate if it gives sufficient notice of the claim asserted to enable the adverse party to answer and
prepare for trial, to allow for the application of the doctrine of res judicata, and to show the type of
case brought
Further defining what is required for a complaint to be sufficient, Sutton establishes that, detailed fact
pleading is no longer required. A pleading complies with the rule if it gives sufficient notice of the
events or transactions which produced the claim to enable the adverse party to understand the nature
of it and the basis for it. Id. at 104. The court provided the rational for only requiring such notice by
indicating how the opportunity for discovery and the other pretrial procedures established by the Rules
to disclose more precisely the basis of both claim and defense and to define more narrowly the
disputed facts and issues. Id. at 102.
In addition, Buchanan v. Hunter Douglas, Inc., 87 N.C. App. 84, 88 (1987) affirms , The requirements
of N.C.R. Civ. P. 8(a) are met when a pleading gives sufficient notice of the events, or transactions
which produced the claim to enable the adverse party to understand the nature of it and the basis for it,

The Role of the Double Plot in King Lear and Hamlet Essay
King Lear and Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, are two plays that reveal similar thematic elements,
yet possess fundamentally different plot structures. Driven by the suffering and rage of two
complementary characters, both plays suggest injustice through good , but ultimately flawed
characters. This shared overarching theme is, however, conveyed differently within each of the works,
as one employs two mainly disparate plot threads, while the other relies more heavily on the
interaction between the two central plots. Yet the ultimate purpose of this dualism remains the same
within both King Lear and Hamlet, in that Shakespeare s use of the double plot illuminates the tragic
elements within both plays, emphasizing core injustices through ... Show more content on

This dichotomy between external blames and internal repentance is used by Shakespeare to
demonstrate the tragic nature of King Lear from more than one plane, showing how two different
personalities respond to two similar fates. In Hamlet however, this clear symmetry is replaced with a
more muddled intertwinement. Rather than maintaining two relatively separate plot threads in the
journeys of Lear and Gloucester, Shakespeare opts to interweave the motivations and fates of Laertes
and Hamlet, using their conflict as the central dynamic, while their parallels take a reduced role. In
this sense, while King Lear is driven solely by the dualism of the story, Hamlet relies on the clash of
the two plots to suggest injustice. This injustice, through conflict, is shown most prominently in
Hamlet s and Laertes duel at the end of the play. Hamlet, describing Laertes as a a very noble youth.
(5.1.231), reveals a respect towards his foe that suggests that it is circumstance, not choice, that forces
his hand. Similarly, Laertes singular goal, To this point I stand, that both the worlds I give to
negligence, let come what comes, only I ll be revenged most thoroughly for my father. (4.5.151 154)
shows that his wrath is fueled solely by duty, such that his pursuit of revenge imparts upon him a
single minded myopia that drives him inexorably towards the final conflict. Ironically, upon meeting
Claudius after hearing of his father s death, Laertes asks How came he

Originally, the Sistine Chapel s vaulted ceiling was painted blue and covered with golden stars. The
walls were adorned with frescoes by different artists, such as Pietro Perugino, who painted Christ
delivering the keys to St. Peter there in 1482.
The ceiling program, which was probably formulated with the help of a theologian from the Vatican,
is centered around several scenes from the Old Testament beginning with the Creation of the World
and ending at the story of Noah and the Flood.
The public first saw Michelangelo s frescoes on the vaulted ceiling of the Sistine Chapel on November

Differences Between Communication And Culture
To study culture is to also study a people s means of communication it is to investigate a group s way
of life, to consider the thought processes behind the choices they make, and to realize the reasons and
means by which they maintain their relationships. Communication and culture are inseparable due to
the reality that one cannot exist without the other. This concept of acknowledging the connectedness
of culture and communication is iterated in the Handbook of International and Intercultural
Communication when William B. Gudykunst and Bella Mody use this quote by anthropologist and
cross cultural researcher Edward T. Hall, Culture is communication and communication is culture
(Gudykunst Mody, 2004, p.26). The claim that communication and culture are invariably connected is
supported by the universally understood truth that communication styles vary around the world due to
differences in environmental contexts, the prevalence of regionally specific issues, and the value of
relationships within a cultural group (Gudykunst Mody, 2004). Examples of this phenomenon are the
differences between the methods that people of the United States use to communicate with each other
and the methods that people of other countries utilize to fulfill the same task. The discrepancies
relating to verbal and nonverbal communication between different cultures prove that communication
is cultural, and culture is built on communication. I have always lived in the United States, therefore

Code Of Justice By Stephen Glass Summary
Stephen Glass has a degree in law from Georgetown University Law Center but he may never practice
law in the United States ever. Glass has passed the bar exam in New York and California, both states
have denied him admission to the Bar. Glass removed his application to become licensed in New York
and the California Supreme Court decided he lacked the good moral character to be a lawyer. Lacking
morality in any profession is unacceptable because it proves one cannot make proper ethical decisions.
Glass was a great writer with a very vivid imagination, but he was not a fiction writer he was a news
media writer for a magazine that was nonfiction.
SEEK TRUTH AND REPORT The first and most important principle in the Society of Professional
Journalists Code of Ethics is to seek truth and report it. Glass violated this principle in every way that
one possibly could. Glass wrote 41 pieces while working with the New Republic, 27 of those pieces
were fabricated in some form or fashion. The piece that brought light to Glass s ... Show more content

Lane was behind Glass, initially backing him, but as the truth became evident he realized he needed to
save the image of the New Republic. Penenberg was unable to find any truth in Glass s piece yet when
he contacted Glass he had all the information they needed to check the facts against. Not only were
Penenberg and his colleagues taken aback by the obviously made up facts, so was Lane. Glass brought
embarrassment to the New Republic by publishing fiction over and over again, no facts. Glass was not
accountable or transparent he went through great lengths to prove the lie he written about. He created
false web pages, business cards and phone numbers. Glass went as far as enlisting his own brother to
help deceive Lane and the employees of Forbes. Lane was beyond enraged when he realized that
Glass had played him and he fired him on the

A Career In Speech-Language Pathology
As a child, I was faced with a lot of adversity. My grandmother raised my brothers and me. We lived
on government assistance with little money and no car for transportation for extracurricular activities.
The hardships we faced compelled me at a young age to stay in school, go to college, and make
something of myself because I did not want to live a life limiting my dreams and opportunities.
Throughout my academic career, there was not a specific moment that solidified my desire to pursue a
profession in Speech Language Pathology (SLP); instead, there were numerous. I initially became
interested in this profession after learning how a child s dysfluency was able to significantly improve.
The gradual process of a client making substantial improvements ... Show more content on

I put my best effort into everything that I do because I believe that a person s work reflects who they
are as an individual, thus, I strive to ensure that my work is a true representation of who I am. The
challenges and obstacles that I have endured and overcome have helped build my character of being a
resilient individual that is willing to do whatever it takes to pursue my dreams. I can honestly say
adversity transformed me into the strong minded person I am today. I do not take anything for granted
because I know what it feels like to not have much. I do everything with a purpose and the desire to
make a better life for myself so I work hard to achieve all of my goals. I want to be a speech
pathologist that delivers and promotes the highest professional standards in a variety of clinical
educational settings across a culturally and linguistically diverse client population. Ultimately, I know
that if given the chance to obtain a Master s of Science in Speech Language Pathology at the
University of West Georgia, I am confident in my ability to be a devoted student who is eager and
willing to learn how to work closely with faculty and staff to acquire the necessary skills and
knowledge to effectively assess a patient and be a remarkable speech

These characteristics can also cause the already identified students to not achieve to their fullest due to stress and lack of motivation. It is very hard to understand why students don t perform to their full potential when you know they are capable. This is known as underachievement. Both early researchers and more recent authors have defined underachievement in Social and Emotional Development of the Gifted 3 terms of a discrepancy between a child s school performance and some ability index such as an IQ score. (Delisle Galbraith, 2002). Gifted children who do not succeed in school are often successful in outside activities such as sports, social events, after school jobs, talent or hobby interests. (Delisle Galbraith, 2002). So we wonder what causes the underachievement. Bainbridge (2014), believes these problems result from gifted children being able to intellectually understand abstract concepts but are then unable to deal with those concepts emotionally. Ones physical development may also lead to an inability to complete a task that they are capable of intellectually envisioning. Perfectionism can lead to fear of failure, in turn causing a gifted child to avoid failure by refusing to even try something. (Bainbridge, 2014). This often leads to a lack of motivation among students. McCoach Siegle (2005), believe that motivated students appear to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Temperature Of Alka Seltzer Alka Seltzer being affected by different temperatures in different cups Research Question How does the temperature affect the speed in which an Alka Seltzer tablet fully dissolves in three cups filled with water with different temperatures. Background Information A chemical reaction is a process that involves change of the molecular or ionic structure of a substance, as opposed to a change in physical form or a nuclear reaction. The key concepts of a chemical reaction are: The atoms and molecules that interact with each other are called reactants The molecules and atoms produced in a chemical reaction are called products No atoms are destroyed or created they only end up in other products Reactants collide with each other so new bonds between atoms in the reactants are broken, and atoms rearrange and form new bonds to make new products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A larger concentration of products is usually linked to a lower reaction rate. Usually an increase in temperature in a chemical reaction means that there will be an increase in the reaction rate of the reactants. Temperature is a measure of the kinetic energy of a system. If temperature is the measure of the kinetic energy of a system, higher temperature implies a higher average kinetic energy of molecules and more collisions per time. This would happen because when the temperature is increased and the reactants will start moving faster and will collide more than before with other reactants and will start forming products. • 5. The Personality Analysis Of Wendy Williams The Personality Analysis of Wendy Williams Wendy Williams was born on July 18, 1944 in New Jersey. She spent most of her life there, but would eventually rise to fame when she moved to New York to Pursue a career in broadcasting. She is now best known as a radio and television personality. As of now, she is the host for the Wendy Williams show, along with being a designer, a host, and a comedian, among other things. When watching her, it is very clear that out of all the Big Five Personality traits, she is more of an extrovert than anything else. An extrovert, by definition, is an outgoing or expressive person. According to Kendra Cherry (2016), it is often characterized by excitability, sociability, talkativeness, assertiveness and high amounts of emotional expressiveness. In addition to those traits, Kennon M. Sheldon, Richard M. Ryan, Laird J. Rawsthorne, and Barbara Ilardi also found that vigorousness is part of the traits associated with extraversion (1997, p.4) That would make sense because if you watch Wendy Williams show, you will see her express most,if not all of those traits. Those who are extroverts score high in excitement seeking (or excitability) and adventurous behavior. This means that they are very much into the idea of thrill seeking, and will grow bored without some level of stimulation (class, 9/8/16). This idea could explain why Wendy is in the show business. When you watch her show, every time the curtains rises, you see the excitement in her face. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Misreading Scripture With Western Eyes While reading the novel Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes one might ve found the same following points and given a summary about the misreading s and hidden points in the bible. Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes gives the reader well enlightened concepts to the bible that before might have been obscured, but now have been broken down into terms that people from the western part of the world can comprehend such as ice bergs. The author uses many a resemblances to the bible and how other supportive countries of our world see it inversely. The author uses these metaphors to build an understanding for the reader so that they can make comparisons themselves. Both have strengths and weaknesses, which are apparent throughout the conflicts in the epic poem. They have obvious differences and limited similarities, which logically lends itself to the idea of who is more admirable. On one hand there is Achilles, a great warrior, son of Thetis and King Peleus, and notorious for his anger. I will do no vile outrage to your body; I will take your amour, Achilles, and your body I will give back to your people. You do the same (Homer 318). Hector is thinking of the people on both sides of the war. For Hector, war is a necessary evil; he longs for peace, yet realizes that it is not likely to return to Troy. His involvement in the Trojan War is motivated by his duty to protect the people of the country and the city in with they reside. Hector is what some consider a true patriot . He shows his deep seated love through his refusal to take wine from his mother. His reason is simple; wine would cripple him and make him forget that he must fight for his country. In contrast to the anger of Achilles, Hector is calm and quiet. As the first day of battle draws to an end, Hector returns to the city to be bombarded with questions about husbands and fathers, which he answers calmly, before joining his parents, children and wife in the palace. Between Achilles and Hector, the most admirable person would be Hector. He is a calm, caring and selfless person. Hector is no invincible by any means, as his battle with Achilles shows. Japanese Economy During The World War Introduction Since the Second World War, the Japanese economy had experienced remarkable growth, transforming from a developing to an advanced developed economy in a single generation. However, on the edge of a three decade long Economic Miracle, in the late 1980s, Japan faced its regrettable bubble economy in which asset prices rapidly soared, money supply and credit underwent sizable increase, and economic activity overheated for a prolonged period (Okina p.396). At the bubble s peak in 1989, the Japanese stock market obtained a value of around $4 trillion, reaching the benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average of ¥38,915 (four times the level they had been in 1983) (Siebert p.9). This was approximately 44 percent of the world s equity market capitalization (Stone p.149). At around similar time frame, Japan also saw a spectacular surge in land prices with the land values five times that of the United States (Stone p.149). Hence, during this time, the economy relished an investment and consumption boom to the extent that Japan rapidly became known as the world s largest creditor country. However, such record growth fell drastically with the burst of the bubble: the stock market plummeted by over 60 percent from its peak in 1989 to 1992 while speculative land prices fell over 50 percent and essential land prices declined by about 15 to 20 percent (Okina p.397). The Illusion Of Universal Morality The Illusion of Universal Morality Darian Scherbluk OOOOOOO SCS 1150 Professor Stuart Chambers November 17th, 2015. 1 Throughout the chapter Moral Disagreement in his work Cosmopolitanism, Kwame Anthony Appiah analyzes the issues of morality. Appiah essentially presents his argument in a manner which questions the concept of what is ethically right and wrong. Furthermore, he believes that societies and individuals will inevitably experience moral disagreements. From the author s perspective, If we are to encourage...moral conversations between people across societies, we must expect such disagreements. 1 As demonstrated in the reading, Appiah suggests that on a global scale, unique societies fail to share the same evaluative language when discussing moral issues. However, even when different communities share similar terms, the subjective nature of vocabulary allows for contrasting interpretations. Finally, Appiah illustrates that various cultural groups place different weights on the same values. The vocabulary used in numerous parts of the world is quite diverse and multifaceted. Kwame Anthony Appiah effectively distinguishes the terms thin and thick as words applied to describe moral disagreement within the text. The author admits that individuals from differing societies share thin words, yet the lack of depth from this vocabulary results in an insignificant description of morality. The young man was discouraged because he has been trying for years to gain weight and muscle, but it just was not enough. He remembered a friend telling him about what anabolic steroids had done for him and decided to try it, he would later regret that decision. Anabolic steroids are drugs that reciprocate certain natural hormones in the body such as the male hormone testosterone, which can improve endurance and performance and stimulate muscle growth. Even though anabolic steroids may provide the body image and results some adolescents want, they can be harmful to the adolescent body and mind, it s not fair to those who gained weight and muscle naturally because they may have a smaller chance of recognition, and there are safer alternatives that can assist in gaining weight and muscle. His translation of the Bible has helped to develop the correct version of the German language. Martin Luther was a great man. Martin Luther was born on the 10th of November, 1483 in Eisleben, Germany. Hans and Margaretha Luder were his parents. In 1501, he had been enrolled in the University of Erfurt at the age of seventeen. But all of that changed during a harsh thunderstorm where a lightning bolt struck near him on his way back to school. With terror he yelled these words, Help St. Anne! I ll become a monk! Since then, he dropped out of law school and started attending monastery there. He would devote himself only to things like fasts, long hour prayers, and constant confessions. He tried a lot to change this, but the more he tried to do this for God, it always seemed that he became more aware of his sinfulness. Martin Luther eventually ended up being good with God personally when his teacher, Johann von Staupitz, ordered that Luther needed more work to distract him from all his thoughts. So then Luther was ordained to the priesthood. So in the year of 1508, Martin Luther started to teach theology at the University of Wittenberg. The difficult time of study for academic degrees and preparation for the hard lectures drove Martin Luther to study the Scriptures very deep. Luther engaged ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The United States General Election Essay While the 2016 United States general election has been in itself special with regards to the deep division among the electorate and lack of favorability of the two frontrunners for the presidency, it still has the unique American system of being dominated by two major political parties; Republicans and Democrats. Over time these political parties have experienced massive changes but in modern America they have crafted very unique identities. With regards to social issues such as abortion rights and treatment of minority groups and economic issues such as fiscal spending, income taxes and welfare, Republicans in general have been characterized as mainly conservative, tax averse and against government entitlements while Democrats have been generally characterized as mainly liberal on these same issues. Altogether political affiliations to either the right or the left can be categorized based on their preference for stability. Liberals are generally seen as being more adaptable to a changing environment for example in the case for LGBTQ rights where the changing environment has generally led them to be more acceptable while conservatives are more likely to be less open, sticking to what they consider traditional values. These attributes have for a long time been seen to be largely determined by the political atmosphere in an individuals environment but growing research has shown that these characteristics have a significant association with human genetics. The Creation Story Of Islam And The Three Creation Stories Everyone has their perspective on how the universe came to be; their beliefs are all based on creation stories that have passed down through generations. The three creation stories that will be analysed are the modern Islamic creation story, the indigenous Maori creation myth and the emerging story of Thor. The creation of the world in Islam s perspective begins with Allah God creating the heavens and the earth all within six days. He then created the sun, the moon and the planets with each their own term of existence. Allah created the entire universe with water as well as animals. After doing so, he created the first man Adam from clay. God then told his angels including Shayṭān (the devil, who was the only angel made of fire) to bow down to Adam. All of the angels obeyed except for Shayṭān who refused to do so, claiming that he was more powerful because he was fire and Adam was made of clay, which caused Allah to become conflicted with the devil thus banishing him from heaven. Shayṭān then decided to create hell to challenge God s people (humans) and influence them to go against God and go to hell instead of heaven. The second human created was Eve aka Hawwa that came from Adam s right rib, she was a mate for him that had the same nature and soul. Before Adam and Eve lived on earth, Jinns (Allah s creation of spirits, similar to genies) used to live on planet earth. I believe that alcohol consumption is one of the biggest problems we as a society are facing now a day. We see this as a common activity among college students and sometimes we even encourage it by letting people believe is a natural thing for teenagers to do. • 32. Relationships In Shakespeare sTitus Andronicus And Henry... Shakespeare lights a candle of conflict in the beginning of his plays and appeals to individual opinions throughout his plot, only to cause the fire of confusion to engulf the reader s mind at the end. He uses the themes of violence, bravery and lust in his plays, the Titus Andronicus and Henry IV Part 1, to show the masculinity of the characters. Moreover, he portrays societal expectations and the father s prejudices as the main culprits for the ill understanding between the father and the son. How can a father s personal prejudice overpower his love for his child? Is it the father s greed for respect and societal grandeur that causes a clash between him and his son? In Titus Andronicus and Henry IV Part 1, Shakespeare sculpts unique and convoluted Father Son relationships, which are a result of the fathers expectations and their perception of masculinity. Titus Andronicus introduces the reader to a multifaceted relationship of a father and a son. In the very first scene of the play, just after Titus says, What, villain, boy / Barr st me my way in Rome? (1.1.295 96), he kills Mutius, his own son. Titus is not concerned about his daughter eloping with Bassianus, rather he believes that the ten year long war has won him the ownership of Rome. His pride cannot let anyone, even his son, stand between him and his prized possession. Shakespeare uses violence to depict the masculine character of Titus. Titus ego shines more brightly in these lines than his love for his son. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the book, readers follow Billy Pilgrim a time traveling war victim who survived Dresden. War is the worst thing a human can experience because there is nothing intelligent about it, it kills, and it destroys beautiful things. Every smart person has made at least one stupid decision in their life. Kurt Vonnegut has seen what stupid decisions can lead to like the bombing of Dresden which is why he said there is nothing intelligent to say about a massacre , and he s completely correct because what is there to say that could be intelligent about a massacre. For example if someone would try to reason here s probably all they could come up with, number one It was a good use of money no it wasn t no matter how it happened it s still a lot of money to clean up,rebuild,or pay for the cost of ammunition or bombs, Number two It allowed us to disrupt their plans and then what? • 38. The Role of the Double Plot in King Lear and Hamlet Essay King Lear and Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, are two plays that reveal similar thematic elements, yet possess fundamentally different plot structures. Driven by the suffering and rage of two complementary characters, both plays suggest injustice through good , but ultimately flawed characters. This shared overarching theme is, however, conveyed differently within each of the works, as one employs two mainly disparate plot threads, while the other relies more heavily on the interaction between the two central plots. Yet the ultimate purpose of this dualism remains the same within both King Lear and Hamlet, in that Shakespeare s use of the double plot illuminates the tragic elements within both plays, emphasizing core injustices through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This dichotomy between external blames and internal repentance is used by Shakespeare to demonstrate the tragic nature of King Lear from more than one plane, showing how two different personalities respond to two similar fates. In Hamlet however, this clear symmetry is replaced with a more muddled intertwinement. Rather than maintaining two relatively separate plot threads in the journeys of Lear and Gloucester, Shakespeare opts to interweave the motivations and fates of Laertes and Hamlet, using their conflict as the central dynamic, while their parallels take a reduced role. In this sense, while King Lear is driven solely by the dualism of the story, Hamlet relies on the clash of the two plots to suggest injustice. This injustice, through conflict, is shown most prominently in Hamlet s and Laertes duel at the end of the play. Hamlet, describing Laertes as a a very noble youth. (5.1.231), reveals a respect towards his foe that suggests that it is circumstance, not choice, that forces his hand. Similarly, Laertes singular goal, To this point I stand, that both the worlds I give to negligence, let come what comes, only I ll be revenged most thoroughly for my father. (4.5.151 154) shows that his wrath is fueled solely by duty, such that his pursuit of revenge imparts upon him a single minded myopia that drives him inexorably towards the final conflict. Ironically, upon meeting Claudius after hearing of his father s death, Laertes asks How came he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The walls were adorned with frescoes by different artists, such as Pietro Perugino, who painted Christ delivering the keys to St. Peter there in 1482. The ceiling program, which was probably formulated with the help of a theologian from the Vatican, is centered around several scenes from the Old Testament beginning with the Creation of the World and ending at the story of Noah and the Flood. The main theme, a symbol of the Apotheosis of St Ignatius, was painted on the ceiling of the nave, which looks like a lofty vaulted roof embellished by statues, even though the ceiling is actually completely flat. • 40. Differences Between Communication And Culture To study culture is to also study a people s means of communication it is to investigate a group s way of life, to consider the thought processes behind the choices they make, and to realize the reasons and means by which they maintain their relationships. Communication and culture are inseparable due to the reality that one cannot exist without the other. This concept of acknowledging the connectedness of culture and communication is iterated in the Handbook of International and Intercultural Communication when William B. Gudykunst and Bella Mody use this quote by anthropologist and cross cultural researcher Edward T. Hall, Culture is communication and communication is culture (Gudykunst Mody, 2004, p.26). The claim that communication and culture are invariably connected is supported by the universally understood truth that communication styles vary around the world due to differences in environmental contexts, the prevalence of regionally specific issues, and the value of relationships within a cultural group (Gudykunst Mody, 2004). Examples of this phenomenon are the differences between the methods that people of the United States use to communicate with each other and the methods that people of other countries utilize to fulfill the same task. The discrepancies relating to verbal and nonverbal communication between different cultures prove that communication is cultural, and culture is built on communication. Glass has passed the bar exam in New York and California, both states have denied him admission to the Bar.
