4. What are we taught since our birth?
MEMORY AND RECALL UNABLE TO APPLY
KNOWLEDGE
VOMITING OUT AND
REPRODUCING OUR
MUGGED UP KNOWLEDGE
FOR SHORT TERM -
LEARNING WITHOUT
UNDERSTANDING
5. Reasons for unemployable
graduates
• Merely 2.5% of engineers in India
possess skills in artificial intelligence while
only a handful of engineers (5.5%) are
qualified with basic programming
• The curriculum and the training have
not kept up with time
• More than 50% of graduates are
unemployable because they lack
innovation and creative thinking
• A significant proportion of graduates,
nearly 47%, were found not employable in
any sector, given their lack of proficiency
in English and cognitive skills.
• India failed to reform its heavily
regulated education system.
7. “Everybody is a genius but if
you let a fish climb a tree it
will think it’s whole life that
it’s NAÏVE”
• In today's world, there
are many kinds of
businesses and among
them, education is also
one of them.
• Let's talk about the schools
that are working on the all-
round development of every
student, like 360-degree
parenting ,a proper guidance to
each and every student,
assigning them mentor with
whom student can discuss their
issue related to academics.
8. Due to ignorance of government schools
nowadays almost parents want to send their
children to fancy private schools or institutions.
Private institutions offer various courses,
dancing, swimming, singing, horse riding, sports,
etc.
Hence they take higher fees from students for
providing these many courses and good teachers
and well-equipped labs.
9. In private institutions
and coachings among 3-
4k students they only
get 10% results
Because of the money
spent by them on
marketing, people tend
to enroll in such
instituitions
On the other hand,
Government schools do
not provide such
facilities
Therefore, the poor
people can't take such
highly expensive
education in private
schools
Thus, the gap between
poor and rich in society
is increasing day by day.
10. In earlier days various tough
exams like JEE, GATE, UPSC, CAT,
etc were cleared by students by
only doing self-study, due to
private institutions, the mentality
of a society is manipulated
Hence a number of students
accept this and go to these classes
that are of no use.
12. How is competition affecting us
1)Countable universities or schools offer trainings that stand a chance in the
international levels.
2)Sheer number of people are after the suitably undersized pie.
3)Companies have limited vacancies.
4)The ones who have mastered the art of war stand a chance of breaking
into their secluded walls.
5)This all affects Students of India.
13. Reasons:
• Parents who failed to meet their goals want to fill that
void through their children
• Schools promote cut throat competition.
• We are taught to be the best, brightest and smartest
• Creativity is discouraged
• Risk taking is mocked
• There’s a desire to stand out
14. Impact
There has been a substantial increase in the number of
cardiac patients
There’s always a pressure of winning.
Getting good marks by memorizing does not create
winners, but demotivates students who get weak score.
Depression and anxiety is common among students.
There are hundreds of cases of suicides due to cut- throat
competition to prove one's worth.
Children take certain exams as the ‘end of their life’.
Students are unable to handle failures and criticisms.
Students feel failures as ego hurt and demotion of the
status in society.
16. Pupil-Teacher Ratio
• Germany has a PTR of 12:1
• USA has a PTR of 16:1 in public schools
• India has a PTR of around 30+ students for a
single teacher(30:1)
• Even China with largest population has a PTR
of 17:1
17. Salary
• Teachers in India are among the
least paid teachers in the whole
world.
• Due to this reason, more and
more teachers are moving towards
private instituitions.
• This is increasing the gap in
education between government
schools and private schools.
18. Present vs Past
In the past, students used to live with their
teachers(Concept of Gurukul)-
There used to be no partiality among students.
Children of kings and children of average people
used to learn together with same Guru.
But in present time, there is a partiality
because of affordability of education.
This makes a lot of difference in opportunities,
skill enhancement, right guidance and
counselling.
20. Infrastructure
Government can:
• Increase the funds in budget
allocation on education sector
(currently it is 2.6% of the GDP)
• Audit and restructure existing
facilities. Renovate old schools,
acquire training facilities, build
labs, libraries, toilets, water tanks
etc.
• Use Public Private Partnership,
NGO Partnership to achieve this.
21. Quality in teaching
Training of teachers to target areas of
learning that can be worked on,
computer-aided teaching and technology
led learning has to be there.
Government need to facilitate this
method by bringing about rules for
continuous teacher quality upgradation
system.
Recruitment, Training, Promotions,
Incentive structure etc. should be
centralized.
22. Affordable Education
Fees of private schools,
Coaching, Classes,
Professional Courses etc.
should be regulated by
creating proper guidelines.
Inclusive Education System
should be created. Education
should bring social Equity – in
gender, castes, financial
status.
23. RELEVANT CURRICULUM
Curriculums should be reviewed and
encouraged. Practical Industry-linked
curriculum should be encouraged.
Independent thinking , Creativity,
Entrepreneurial spirit, Skills Development,
Vocational training , Effective use of
technology etc. should be encouraged.
Focus on value Education , Personality
Development, Sports, Curricular Activities.
