Fish Bowl
This picture shows the story of five fish, but this picture doesn’t truly show all that the
fish who is jumping out of the bowl went through. This story starts way before then, the fish who
is jumping into the fish bowl with the four already in it has already made this daring jump
before. The fish jumping came from the bowl he is jumping to, the bowl when he was a teen fish
was one that every fish knew the business of each other. He hated that, he hated that everyone
was on top of each other, he wanted to branch out and try to live alone. So the day after his fish
high school graduation he wanted to high tail it out of his small fish bowl community and that is
just what he did. No one could believe he would just up and leave. Everyone in his old fish bowl
just gossiped none stop about him and his leap into the empty bowl.
He stayed away for a few years (which in human time was maybe a week or two) he
thought he was living the high life no one knew all his business, but what he soon realized was
that he was really lonely he had no one to talk to. He would see the fish he grew up with back in
his old bowl and he couldn’t help but think about what his life would be like if he had stayed in
his old fish bowl community. Then he began to wonder what is he went back, would he be
welcomed back, what would life be like if I went back, and would I be happier if I went back or
would I feel the same if I stayed in my empty bowl.
Now he made up his mind and knew what he wanted above all was that he wanted to go
back home to the friends and family he left behind, he knew even if he wasn’t welcomed back he
will be happier around fish that way he wouldn’t feel alone. So on a bright day he took the daring
leap from his lonely bowl and went back home. When he got there everyone was so happy to see
that he was okay and that he was back. He knows now that even though the grass (or water)
looks greener (bluer) on the other side that’s not always the case.
