The lonely fish saw other happy fish in a nearby fish bowl and wanted to join them. He tried communicating with them but couldn't understand their language. His great idea was to build up speed and leap between the fish bowls. While airborne, the fish was excited about meeting new friends but overshot the other bowl. His hopes of finding companionship were dashed when he failed to make the jump.

Once upon a time, there was one fish that was very lonely with himself. All the fish did
was swim all around his fishbowl with the vision of a better life. Looking through the looking
glass, the fish saw many more fish across from him and he saw how happy they were.
Eventually, the fish started to become depressed and was starting to contemplate where he stood
in life. It’s hard to believe that a life of just swimming around and eating could be so
complicated.
The fish began to have ideas of how he could have a happier life. Unfortunately, he could
not come up with anything. He started to come up with ideas such as trying to communicate with
the other fish, but that did not work out because he didn’t know the language that they used. The
fish then had a great idea. He thought that maybe if he built up enough momentum to leap out of
the fish bowl and into the other fish bowl to meet his new friends. He was so excited to try this
new idea that he almost forgot the whole entire plan down to every detail.
Finally, the fish decided that it was time. The fish started to build up enough speed and
then he leaped out of the water. While in the air, the fish was having happy thoughts of meeting
his new friends and living a happy life from then on. As he reached his destination, the fish
started to think if he may have misjudged the fish bowl. It turns out that that fish overshot the
fish bowl just a little bit and was not able to make the jump. The poor fish lost his hopes and
dreams that day of living with his new friends inside of the new fish bowl.
