Introduction :
In this project, we will be interfacing fingerprint sensors with Arduino
to design a fingerprint sensor-based self vehicle starter using Arduino.
Block Diagram :
Circuit Diagram :
Components :
• Arduino board
• R307 Fingerprint
sensor
• 16*2 Alfa numeric
LCD
• DC Motors
• Connecting Wires
• EM-18 RFID
Reader
Fingerprint Sensor module :
Advantages :
 No need to carry keys.
 Just scan the finger.
 Multiple users can be set.
Disadvantages :
 Collection of high quality nail to nail image needs training and
specific skills.
 The system is associated with forensic applications.
Applications :
 Fingerprint technologies improves the secrutiy of an automobile
making it possible for the car to be used by only authorised user.
Future Scope :
 Can be used in upcoming electric cars.
 Other Biometrics than Fingerprint can also be added.
 Can be used in almost all vehicles.
Conclusion :
Hence, fingerprint technology improves the security of an automobile making it possible
for the car to be used by only authorized users. Therefore implementing this system on
vehicles makes the achievement of our car security system comes in a cheap and easily
available form.
